Captains- We are very close to commencing testing on the first expansion pack for the PMDG 777-200LR/F so I thought it was probably time to give you a quick update on the status of a few things related to the 777! First off I have the PMDG 777 and love the plane. I have only flown one other aircraft since buying the T7. I have a few questions about the PMDG 747 and 737NGX. In flight with the PMDG T7 if I press the semi colon key to save the flight. It saves all of the everything the the T7 is doing. The leg it's on, all FMC stuff, overhead, etc. My question on the NGX and 747 does this work as well? I have read that on the NGX it does sometimes, and sometimes it does not. Somethings I have read says that you use the panel save feature on the NGX(not sure about the 47 have not read up on that yet) but have heard that the panel save does not work when loading the flight i…

Just wondering where our "747-400 version 2 - All about the upcoming release" thread is at? ^_^ We had the same thread for the 777 more than a year before it actually released. It definitely helped satisfy some hunger for information and also fueled the fire in anticipation of release. I'm pretty excited for the new Queen of the Skies so I would love to see PMDG dedicate a new thread for it! Just saying :-)

Hello folks, this is a quick question that applies to all Boeing aircraft. I have noticed that some airlines have their Navigation Display to show the groundtrack and the wind drift correction with a white tick over the top of the heading indicator, while some only show the heading the aircraft's nose is pointed at without the groundtrack. My question is, is it an airline selected option or can it be switched on and off with a switch somewhere in the cockpit or fmc? Many thanks.

Hey, guys! I just bought the PMDG777, after flying the NGX for about six months (wanted to cross the pond). I'd say I have a reasonably good "feel" for the NGX, and the T7 is growing on me. I've mainly used YouTube as a learning source, but I feel more comfortable reading. I think the documentation that came with the planes is truly intimidating, but the more I fly, the more I feel a need to read them more thoroughly. I've read parts of it, mostly normal procedures, fmc-messages, tutorials and the introductions. What I'm wondering is how I should go about reading them, primarily in what order. Hello Guys. Well I´ve wrote an little software to help me to organize the gates of the airports that I use to flight from/to. I´ve called My Gate and maybe is usefull for someone. The software is a simple data base that help´s me to know what gate is set to that kind of airplane, if the gate is used to domestic or international flight, witch airport that gate is and if the gate is already configured on AES and GSX. I love flying the PMDG NGX and I mostly simulate flying SAS routes. However, I am longing for to get to know real (or closer to real) life SOP. I realize that the SOP is company specifik, but what does an SOP look like in general? And where is my best shot to see one without becoming a professional pilot?

Hi, it seems that livery exports made with the new livery manager coming with the operation center are not compatible with the old version coming with the 737NGX. Exports made with the old version can be installed with the new version but not vice versa. Is there any solution to that problem?

The last time it was updated was over 2 years ago. Anyone know if it's still good or do you have a better one?

Hi all, Happy new year to you all, and thank you Robert for the news on the 777-300 and 744v2. While I realise the forums get flooded with questions about, when will this be out or that be finished which I know get very annoying at times I noticed there is no mention of the DC6 in the update news mentioned by Robert at Christmas. I know PMDG won't release any release dates, that's not what I am asking. All I'd like to know is whether the DC6 is still being worked on, as I remember it being one of those projects that is an "As and when, we have time" project. That's it, all I wanted to ask. Across all airports, international/large, the frames in the PMDG 737NGX VC drop to around 2-8. Outside view they increase to about 15-20 testing at FSdreamteam KLAX. Recently, I have found this out to be at all airports when I am on the ground. During takeoff the FPS drops to about 2-3 and landing about 5-8 even in clear skies. During cruise I have locked 30FPS and frames set to unlimited and controlled by Nvidia Inspector. It is not a hardware issue or a sliders issue I have found while testing.

hello, I already purchased PMDG 777 model and it worked very good no problems at all. A week ago i had to update my pc to windows 8.1. If i want to fly in fsx, i have to insert al product keys again, because i purchased them online, i dont have them anymore... what can i do? please advice thx a lot

This is just a curriosity question. When planning a flight, what do you all use? Do you use FSC (or simular product if there is one) or do you use the flight planner in FSX and program that into the fmc. Just wondering

I would love to buy a PMDG made C-17. It's replacing the C130 Hercules and does everything that the Herc can do, only faster. I witnessed the first ever public display of this aircraft at RAF Mildenhall and was wowed by it's performance. Please can you participate in the poll? I know that PMDG don't do military aircraft but this one does a hell of a lot of cargo work too.

I used simroutes yesterday without any problem to create a flight plan. Anyone know why its now requiring a username and password? Any alternative flight planning websites? What i liked so much about simroutes was that once you saved it you type in the origin and destiantion in the NGX fms and the route would load in. Hello I have had to do a clean install, and decided to buy the extended download for my T7 , 747, 747(8) exp and MD11, approx 8 hours ago. My T7's URL renewed immediately however the 747, 747(8)exp and MD11 have not renewed. I have also submitted tickets in the hope the links would renew. I appreciate you guys are busy and i am a patient person, but am concerned there maybe an issue with the other URL's when the T7 extension went through straight away. Many Thanks Steve Crocker

having had ctd issues with the 777 since I first got it the week it was released I gave up flying it after numerous failed flights that ended in ctd s. of course there are numerous other customers who are also suffering from the same issues and I know we are waiting for a fix etc etc. I tried everything to solve the issue ,all that has been suggested here with sliders and performance and addon scenery and so on but still got the problem. so since I stopped flying it I have experimented by just having the 777 sitting at an airport no flying nothing just loading it up and leaving it there without a flight plan and what I have found is that weather or not I am at a …

Hello All ! I just bought today the 737 NGX Base Package.... Received my Email Recepit with a download link, however, when starting the download i am getting a download speed no higher that 19KB/s !!! This is ridicoulous for downloading a 648MB file!!! Is anybody else having the same issue? I have tried canceling and starting the download process again over and over with the same results..... Already tried deactivating all security software. Tried downloading somenthing else from somewhere else and the speed was my normal 533KB/S...... Hi everyone, I have a question regarding when I would contact ATC during my aircraft setup. For example, would I contact DEL before starting my CDU preflight or after and when would I contact ground in my preflight setup? I have watched some youtube videos but everybody seems to have different times so I am unsure when real pilots would contact these stations. Thanks.

Hey guys, while I expect PMDG to come soon with a BBJ NGX Expansion I have a question regarding VIP weights on the 777 maybe someone could answer. I you want to simulate a full BBJ-VIP interior on both the NGX or the 777 you'd need to what, set payload to max then add 10-15 passengers? Isn't it "Full" CDU payload + passengers for the 777 too much for an hypothetical BBJ-VIP interior? What do you think?

Wondering if there will be a 787-10X in the works? From all the Boeing products you guys have done so far, they're awesome. I have seen a brochure from Boeing on the 787-10X and can't wait for someone to put one out that is REALISTIC in the model (hint, hint), not a thrown together freeware pgm like most FSX a/c. Maybe it could be added in a 787 update to the dreamliner we already have now, so it wouldn't have to be a completely new product.
