Hi ! After four years i want to build a new pc for fsx and i wonder which config would be optimal to run it at high settings with PMDG ORBX and REX addons. I've read on the 777 product page that latest nvidia cards are recommended for best performance. I wonder about this, cause i always thought fsx can not profit from newer videocards. Am i wrong? Since the cpu is most important for good fsx performance, i wonder which one to choose. I'm thinking about the 3770k and to overclock it to 4,3 or some GHZ. Is there a better CPU with the same price/performance ratio? Thank you in advance ! Chris

Hi together, just a question if anybody has thought about it and if it is possible. Can I use a second keyboard on my PC just for using it as an input for the FMC/CDU? So that I use my first keyboard for als the FSX commands, and the second one is linked to the FMC? Thanks for any ideas, Julian

Hello PMDG Team,I wanted to know are you guys going to be releasing the -200 & -300 version of the Boeing 777?

I see the question 'Why cant I see the flaps move' every now and then. The answer is always tick Advanced animations (or something) Question is - Why does a tick box exist in the first place? Is it a performance factor? I fly the 777 with the outside model disabled, can I uncheck that box to free up resources or are animations needed for pure VC flying? Cheers

hello guys my name is Diego and I am a professional pilot who loves FSX. Actually I am using the new card EVGA GTX 780Ti., and I good computer with actually specifications are next amd9590FX 4.7Ghz , 16Gb memory ram 1866mhz corsair pro and the graphic card that I mentioned the GTX780Ti and ASUS motherboard pro R2.0 well. I think with this computer complete the requirements for using PMDG Smoother , but it seems to be not working properly and it gets low FPS. Great plane, great airport, but even with my GTX 580, i7 2600, 8ram, 800gb free space on 1T SSD, I get an OOM message within a matter of a few minutes. Any ideas from anyone?

Hi all I just installed the NGX's (boxed version for the 800-900's and downloaded version for the 600-700's) When i want to activate them i got this: "The activation of the fullfillment is denied by the activation policy because max extra activations exceeded" [incident #3926-9317599] How can i solve this out so i again can fly my NGX's? After having a compute crash, loss of hard drive and motherboard, I finally got my computer up an running. When I went to install my 737 an 777, I get an error that I have registared to many time. Can someone rest the regstration for me. PMDG web site says they stopped replying to email earlier this month and I have to post her. Please help.

Several weeks ago I made a post in the Avsim MS-FSX Forum concerning the logbook.bin file. I have receive replies but none of which have been really helpful in solving the problem. I am posting the same topic in the PMDG General Forum since the only planes I fly are the NGX, MD-11, 777, and 744 and 748 and I think I might get more helpful answers in this forum. First off, let me state that I don’t believe the logbook.bin file is corrupt for two reasons. First I have deleted it and let FSX rebuild it probably 20 times in the past two months. Secondly, I have run a program called FSX Log Recovery which indicates that logbook.bin files generated by FSX are not corrupt…

hi i have bought and downloaded the pmdg 737 ngx and it reccomends on the site to use a 64 bit operating system. I got windows 7 64 bit and have been having problems with the service pack 2 where the sim will crash before reaching the main menu coming up with a fatal error pop up and i have tryed fixes for it that havent worked. i want to ask if there is any recommened fixes for this problem? mikey

This is mainly directed at Ryan, Robert, etc, but welcome all to chime in with opinions. Without naming names, I was wondering what PMDGs stance was on developing products that include an independent FDE (flight dynamics engine) like in other recent releases. I, personally, have come to like it, but just wondering if PMDG have any plans to look at this in future developments. Thanks. Hello I am starting a new paint for the NGX and i want it to look real old and make it look like it had a couple incidents with the oil. I looked up how to make weathered textures in cs 6 but i could not find any thing that i wanted. I thought if some one in here could help me make weathered strikes like oil that marks were it ran down the wings like on the flaps. Thanks!

Mech: Auto-land not installed in this aircraft. Hello, I submitted a ticket last week to the PMDG support team to request a license reset via the ticket system on their website. It's been a whole week now without receiving a single response from them. Is this normal? I have a friend who got a reply just one day after submitting a ticket regarding the same matter. Thanks.

I don't care about rapid reinstallations from bare metal as I strangely enjoy doing fresh installs. Something about refreshing a computer which makes it breathe easier.... That said, I do care about losing my data, documents, family pictures, etc.... I'd consider a cloud-based tool, but as a photographer I keep all the huge "RAW" files of my images - my concert, wedding, airshow, and personal photo library is north of 150GB alone - nevermind the archives of flight simulation software I need to store in the event of a reinstallation. Since all this data is quite voluminous, I use a copy/mirroring tool called Vice Versa to copy my important data folders to a second phy…
