Captains, As you are no doubt aware, the whole world is awaiting some explanation as to the fate of MH370, a Boeing 777-200ER registered 9M-MRO that went missing a week ago. PMDG Simulations has a long standing policy that we do not wish to host discussions of aircraft accidents in our forum. I wish to remind everyone of this policy and ask that you please respect it. Dear all, with the recent woes at Avsim I am inclined to think that it is time PMDG made a move to a better forum server. This has after all become a large company selling world class products and the forums should reflect that. I hate to sound as if I am painting Avsim in a negative light, but it was not only the last round of server outages. There have been more occasions. Also the forum keeps throwing your login info away, forcing you to login almost everytime you visit the site. Does anyone else feel that the current forum is not up to the standards PMDG instills in other parts of their product? Regards, Xander

I have PMDG 737NGX and want to install liveries. However when I run the Livery Manager as administrator nothing appears in the "installed aircraft variants" box on the left? The FSX Directory path is pointing to my Microsoft Flight Sim X directory and I have checked that the sim objects/aircraft folders seem to be in order. Can someone give me some pointers to what the issue might be. I suspect I don't have some files in the correct location? Thanks, Alex Warnock

Hello, Everytime I fly in real life and get a seat forward of the engines, I experience that the engine noise gets quieter with increasing altitude. In takeoff and initial climb phases it is pretty loud, but in higher altitude climb it becomes more and more silent and in cruise when the RPM decreases it is nearly unnoticable. I noticed this effect also in many cockpit videos, theres only wind noise audible in CRZ flight. Maybe it would be possible to model this effect also on the upcoming PMDG products? Hi guys, I know I am a bit disturbing (newee)I just thought you would be able to solve my problem:You know the red dotty OVERSPEED line which should be displayed on the 747 400 PFD ? Well, when I leave the ground, a second OVERSPEED dotty line appears and overlay the first one. The "annoying" second red dotty line covers the whole of the speeds (from 0 knts to 999 knts)! It appears that regardless my current speed, I am constantly in overspeed ????What should I do ????Cheers Mate

FSX 32 bit application only sees 4GB of RAM. This program unlocks it, and simulator sees the full amount of RAM. Your feedback is very important! Called 4gb_putch, unfortunately I can't throw it here

Hi, I have one question about the purchasing procedure with PayPal. I would like to buy the 737 NGX base package but I have the money only in cash. A friend of me said that he would pay the amount for me with paypal. The problem is that you can only check out directly with Paypal. My concern is that in this case the purchase is assigned to him and his email address. When I try to check out without paypal, I have only Credit-card as payment method. Hello I am having a problem with the FMC. If I select 0 on the keypad I get 8, 1,2,3,4,5,6,seem ok 7=4,8=5 ,9=6, .=7, +/- =9 etc so I have no way of entering 0, . , or +/-. This happens with all the PMDG fmc's I have installed Any help would be much appreciated regards Brian

I have done a re-install of FSX. I reinstalled the NGX base pac. but, now I don't see any orders for my 600-700 in my account. It has always been there in the past. I have tried to submit a ticket, but that link is down, I guess. Thanks. J Friz

Hi all It's been quite a long time since the NGX was released to market and since then, we've heard the occasional tidbit that there may or may not be a BBJ and/or Wedgetail product offered by PMDG to go with the NGX. I realise the people at PMDG are reluctant to talk about projects in development, but for the purpose of maintaining interest among customers (both current and future), could we please have some form of concrete response from PMDG as to whether or not there will be an NGX BBJ/Wedgetail offered by PMDG? Hi, I am curious to know when or if you guys have started developing for the X-Plane 64 bit platform yet? I am anxious to get to fly the 777/737/747. I really love your planes in FSX, but it's a dying platform to me and I have totally given up on that. I may feel the same way with P3D as well, since its a big mess leftover from FSX. 64 bit is really necessary and I'm sure your planes will behave much better and allow for more room to add other intensive features thats not possible in 32bit.

I want to practice manual landing with my pmdg aircraft, and I tried FSinstant approach but it doesn't seem compatible with PMDG aircraft, so I figure the next best thing would be a short route that works with all the PMDG aircraft? I've got the 737,47,77,the JS41, and, the MD11. All I really want to work on is the landing portion I'd really like a route that would work well for all 5 of those. I'm asking here, because if there is another option I'd like to know. Patrick Boynton

Hi all, I'm watching S05E11 of Ice Pilots NWT, and they feature a very special DC-6- the "Swingtail" version. Basically, the tail opens up 90 degrees, much like a Dreamlifter. Will PMDG be including this in the upcoming DC-6? It might be difficult to model COMPLETELY accurately given that only two were ever converted to swingtail models and there's only one left flying- the Buffalo Airways one (N434TA). Just a thought, but it would be a neat little feature in the 6!

Downloaded file then extracted. After trying to install my PGD 737 nsx I get a registry error message on fsx file location. The file is located on a separate folder on my C: drive. What should I do. monte pace

Anyone know why I might be getting a nav data out of error message in the FMC of the 777 when I have the most current AIRAC file installed? The FMC correctly reports that the most current AIRAC file is there but I still get the error message.. This is happening with 737NGX FMC too.
