Hello, I am new to forum and have perused it and have not seen my problem topic so i will post and hope you can provide help. I am running Window 7 64bit I am trying to download liveries from some of the legacy products (MD-11, 747-400, J4100) and am encountering a problem whereby the InstallShield wizard just freezes at the status bar. I am running as Administrator and do not have Antivirus firewall turn on. Interestingly enough, I can no longer Modify, Repair or remove liveries. I am able to make the selection but the program freezes at the status screen. I am wondering if it is a Install Shield problem as oppose to PMDG product prblem because I am able to …

First my PC, not in great detail but Your 777 with Orbx runs well, all the normal addons,edoc, opus, ITrack etc etc. fps are around 30. I also use a second screen for pop ups and FMS. P3D v2 is one screen only, it's like fsx full window mode. Running just Orbx global and a2a 172 at my local airport is 24 fps and that's with all shadows off apart from VC. I've had more OOM in 4 hours than 4 years with fsx. It's not as sharpe a picture,no free flight you load straight into a flight. I could gone on but really dont rush it's no where close ATM Running on my 940@4 and a gtx660 its not good. Back to fsx for me, I might even ask for a refund, after waiting up till 3am th…

So with the recent news of PMDG developing for P3D and XP10... will one with FSX products be offered a special upgrade/transfer price if one would like to switch over to P3D let's say? I really am optimistic of P3D and would like to know if the switch would be beneficial to all of us. Not sure how similar those two platforms are. Thanks for the reply.

Today, Boeing made its official announcement of the new generation of the Boeing 777, the Boeing 777x. Most people well informed in the news of aviation have known that it exists, and it was a matter of time before we saw what it will be. http://www.newairplane.com/777x/ New features include folding wingtips, something originally proposed for the 7E7, which failed to extend to the 787. She's not expected to enter service until 2020, so at least our newly-won FSX product won't be something that is out-of-date from the state-of-the-art.

Hi everyone This is not a problem specific to my PMDG products but thought experienced users may be able to point out my problem. I have just reinstalled FSX and a number of my add on aircraft including my B777 and B737. I also included after the reinstall a new 2013 magnetic variation bgl. The problem is I know a particular departure for example departs hdg 016 yet the fmc says the heading to the waypoint is 015. I also noted in my last flight the hdg to the runway via the fmc was 195 degrees when I know it should be 196 degrees. My ils frequency is correct and so is the approach data showing 196. Can anyone tell me what I have done wrong here. Thanks

Whilst everyone is going nuts over P3D I've been looking at XP10 a little more. It had me wondering a little of the capabilities of the simulator. As we know PMDG have been porting over a certain product over the past year or so. Would those things like a weather radar be possible to have in XP? There's a few more things I wish FSX had or could do - just can't think of the top of my head specifically. Any thoughts and other ideas on the possibilities with PMDG's products and XP10? Hi Guys. I hope this question will not be classed as off-topic :-) My favorite a/c to fly are the heavies... PMDG B744 being my favorite. I like to simulate european cargo flights into EMA (East Midlands, my local) which are often done at night. My question.. Can anyone suggest the best settings in FSX that will give the best night flying experience graphically (I'm thinking of pin sharp lights on the runways etc.). As I fly on a laptop I am hoping this will also allow me to get some better frame rates. My confusion is what I can get away with graphically while still maintaining good night-time visuals, if that makes sense :-) I am hoping someone ha…

Hello! I just saw the position of PMDG in P3D post this morning. It is clear to me.. nothing to say. But I would like to ask about the MD11 and Jetstream. PMDG is tied totally to Boeing? Sorry if this has been asked other time.. just wanted to know, but it seems that when the 737NGX came out, and this 777, all the rest of magnificent planes where forgotten.. and they are just stunning!!! at least for me... and would like to learn more from them in P3D if possible. Hi Guys, I am having endless issues trying to get my PMDG 744 X, 737 8/9 and T7 to activate prpoerly on my new PC. They all install with no issues, but after activation they all exhibit similar AP anomalies like no VNAV and LNAV operation, comm failures and the T7 also adds a weird cab press fail! This all happens some time after start. Should I de-select Over Clicking prior to installing FSX and PMDG products or doesn't it really matter? Is there anything else I can do to make this work? I have uninstalled FSX, PMDG aircraft three times now. These failures occur with FSX SP2 or FSX Accelleration and FSUIPC 4 Registered - no additional add-ons install…

As the topic suggests, there hasn't been much in the way of contributions from RSR or Ryan. Are you guys working on the next 777 product, or something else? Or have you taken a well-deserved holiday? Just wondering...

I was just looking at some of the screens from the original post from February 2012 about the Secret Project. IMO I think PMDG should drop all else and finish this including a freighter version. Could you imagine all the different liveries from then and now! The T7 is flying and although I do not own one yet from what I have read none of the issues are grounding. I would be the first one on the block for the 747v2. But we have been waiting for a long time for this one and I think it would fill a needed nitch. Can't wait for her any more. Thanks, Ron

My Zoom (in and out) control is out of wack!. I have to much IN and not enough OUT. Outside spot aircraft looks like a cigar. I have cycled the + and - keys in either direction. I have looked in the "option" Controls but can't seem to find a fix. Any help please?

I have been pondering with my friends about what aircraft PMDG will make next. I believe that the 767 is the best option. If you look on a number pad with the letters on there and spell out PMDG, the numbers are 7436. PMDG has done the 777, 747, and 737, and the last number is the 767. I think we very well could see the 767 be made next by PMDG.

Captains- Over the past couple of weeks we have watched an absolutely stunning amount of misinformation being spread about the forums regarding PMDG's development agenda, or lack of development agenda with respect to Lockheed Martin's P3D platform. The vast majority of this complaining behavior has been grossly uninformed, and in some cases completely wrong. PMDG will have a more formal announcement regarding our position on Lockheed Martin's P3D platform at a future date. While we would have liked to have that announcement out earlier- we are still awaiting some feedback from Boeing and our legal counsel that will determine what form (if any) our development…

Hopefully someone has an answer. I'm at a loss. I'm flying the 747 and 737-600/700 on FS9 on Windows 7 64 bit. All of a sudden, lately, neither one will hold a course using LNAV on the auto pilot. They continuously drift to the right, about 3 to 4 miles for every 10 flown, even with a quartering wind from the right. . I have uninstalled and reinstalled both. FSUIPC has been reinstalled with the most current version, and turbulence is disabled in FSUIPC and the sim options. My LevelD 767 does not have the same problem. If anyone has any ideas, I'd be happy to hear them. Matt Collins

Hi, I was just wondering, PMDG have just finished their 777 and the 747 V2 and DC-6 are probably going to be released next week so they must be thinking about a next project by now. PMDG will never do an Airbus and we got bored of Boeings so I have a good suggestion. Why doesn't PMDG do this beautiful Soyuz 18-1? Dear PMDG this is only a suggestion, I have notice as time go's by as Microsoft puts updates in for windows 7 or 8. I am beginning to have more and more out of memory crashes. Basically Microsoft has left the flightsim world to suffer. Being that we are in the most part running 64bit operating systems and fsx is a 32 bit game. And updating hardware' I would have to say that with out a doubt you have the greatest product, but as time go's on your product will become outdated because you have to design to fit an outdated fsx.
