Hey all,A few questions if you don't mind,first, what is considered to be a "normal" descent in fpm for a 737 airliner, because when I use V-NAV it doesn't go into descent mode it stays in cruise, and it descends at like 3600 then starts to go back a little to about 2500. I'm not sure, but that kind of sounds like it might be bad for passenger comfort.second, does anyone else think that the taxi lights are way too bright for 737 NG?third, is there a way to add SIDS and STARS to the FS2004 flight planner, so I can perform those with ATC following? I've read the FMC tutorial by Metzinger and I don't recall him saying how that was possible to put a SID or STAR into your FS2…

I noticed that under the aircraft menu you can turn on the smoke system, when I turn it on nothing happens. is there supposed to be something that happines? Also I still can't open the baggage doors... and I am pushing SHIFT+E 2. but nothing happines, If I load the stock 737 they open.... Am I doing something wrong? Hmmm Do I ask too many questions?I ask questions when I get excited..... this time its over the... SU2!!!!!!!! :-lol

hiwhen i start PMDG at the gate the engines are on.I tried plane re-loading as described in tutorial and the same thing occurs - and I have to manually shutdown the engines etc.Does anybody have any solutions?Bo

in the past three weeks there have been major upgrades: for the F1 Meridian, the SSW Airbus and the PSS airbusses/Dash 8. Each one of these updates has been difficult if not downright disasterous for us poor USERS and I am sure way worse for the publishers/developers/tech support people. There is a common thread in the three situations ... upgrade patches to FS2002 and FS2004 at the same time ... WHILE in 2 of 3, there was a CLEAN INSTALL available which contained essentially a new version, or the originals and all patches.To help us all, and obviously you guys at PMDG, I suggest that a simple "reinstall" be made available ... ie. a deinstaller for FS2002 and FS2004 ..…

PMDG 600/700.When I try to put in ESSB as origin in route I get the error message: "Err at NB, Line 20" in display but still FMC accepts ESSB as origin. What does this mean?Georg Langrath

I was doing an autoland into KSEA, and at 50 feet Radalt(CatIII DH) pressed the go-around button. The airplane's A/T mode went to N1 briefly, but the thrust didn't move. The autopilot continued the autoland, and after a short while the autothrottle went back to retard. So the end result was that the airplane landed and came to a full stop.I also managed to do a full autopilot go-around on a single autopilot?Any thoughts on this?Cheers, Regards Sjaako

I have buy me a new computer and i forgot to take the"Produce Transfer code" from my old PMDG B737TNG / PC beforei format it. Now i have installed my FS2002 software again andalso my GREAT PMDG B737TNG product. How are PMDG going to organise the distribution of the SU2 patch to registered customers?It would be nice if PMDG took a page out of Real Air Simulations (virtual) book and maybe considered emailing each customer (in groups of 30-40?) with a URL rather than us having to rely on checking forums and then finding that we cannot download the patch because the server cannot cope with the extra traffic (as happens with many less organised companies;-)Your comments would be appreciated.Best WishesAdam Moore

There have been several changes in the latest 0312 airac in uk airspace, I have updated most of my sid/stars files to reflect these changes. I will update the rest over the weekend. Within the 737 NG itself, are there any textures that fall into the "huge" catagory within the FS9 hardware settings or is "large" all that is required to have the best PMDG artwork show up?It seems to amount to about a 25% increase in AI traffic by capping at large, but if it matters to PMDG's models, I'll dump the traffic ;-) as I don't really need it that bad.Wish Microsoft would actually document what specifically these things actually do, it would make life so much easier.Ray

I have some questions both for the PMDG, but also for fs9.1. Does it matter if I leave the anti-ice off?2. How can I prevent the plane from moving forward, even with the brakes set?3. Does the winglet version of the plane consume less fuel as in real life?

Hi,I am thinking about purchasing the PMDG 737 but after having been burnt by another "well known" developer I am curious as to other peoples opinions of this product.So far my scan of the support forum is promising but I would like to ask the average user a few questions if I may.1. Does the product work properly in FS9?2. Is support responsive? (It looks like it but I need to know)3. Are new features added within the lifespan of the product?I notice from your website that stage II and III are planned. When I go into the expanded registration in FS9,Nothing happens... and I mean nothing.... it dosnt even try to.Also if I try to do the other option that is listed underneath Expanded Reg, nothing happines. And YES I have the plane loaded. Everything Else works, I can change color on MCP and EFIS. It is just the registery options that don't work. Do I have to wait till my 10 days are up to register? Please :-zhelp. Lol... I buy the product and I have been asking for :-zhelp ever since, but it is a GREAT buy!!!! I don't think I would have been as pleased if I had got PSS or Wilco..... My brain is going to explode!!!! (not hard)Is this normal behaviour for a 30 year old????I have a full time job with quite hefty responsibility and all I can think about is the release of SU2!! *:-*All day I check out the forums and the website expecting to see the "new website" pop up, to no avail. Well I got the 737 all I can say is WOW!Installation was a breez, I managed to get the plane to start... after 2 hours, coulnd fid the battery switch. and yes I was reading the basic tut. anyway I got it started and I switched my view to the outside and my ear drums got blown out by this awful hissing noise. So that is now my ownly problem, as long as I stay in one view it is all ok, but if I change view to the outside it hisses, and the only way to stop it is to reload the aircraft. So once I get that fixed it should all be ok.Thanks PMDG guys for the cool, complex, aircraft! I love it.David.

Seeing as though it is the Thanksgiving weekend here in the USA I think it wise to spend your time wisly and not be visiting this forum looking for the SU2 through at least Monday Dec 1st.......WHY!!!!!!... you maybe askng yourself.......Because the PMDG team will be to busy carving Turkey and eating carnberrys....thus leaving them little time to attend to support related issues pretaining to the SU2 update......I think if they were going to release it it would have been released last weekend..........PMDG.....Prove me Wrong......PAleseRandy

I have a question regarding the PFD display. I was flying (rather wildly, hehe) and a symbol MM with a circle around it showed up in the top right corner of my attitude display. I searched through the manuals to see if I could find it, with no luck. This doesn't mean it is not in there, just means I'm old and I can't find it! Anyway, what does the MM symbol mean? I can't imagine what has happened but it seems I can't climb any faster that 600fpm past 10,000FT.I havent changed anything at all and just recently noticed yhis about a week ago.At present,I have about 60% fuel enroute to KORD from KDFW..This is very strange. Right now as I type this message, my climb speed has dwindle to less than 100fpm..At this rate it will take me all night to reach FL350...I have both LNAV and VNAV activated, both appear to be working just fine..I've activated the togo button as I normally do but I just can't figure out whats wrong..I have restarted the flight and even tried CLB2, but no change...Please help,..Need a little help explaining thisTroy

ok I have read ALL the manuals, 3 times... I even downloaded a tutorial that explanes how to set up the fmc, no prob got a route but I have seen no where that explanes what the CO ROUTE is. what you put in there. Also I am havbing problems with jetways. like j66 or j131, or any jetway. it say's not in database. other then those two minor thing I am having a blast! Thanks for the help.David

Hello everybody,Iam a newbee here and I just have a question about the service update for the PMDG 737.I just purchased this wonderfull Aircraft and installed all files except the service update.I do not know which service update to install is it the full one or just the mini one.Iam curently running WINDOWS 98-SE and MICROSOFT FLIGHT SIMULATOR 2004.Please help,I dont want to stuff anything up.Thankyou in advance for any imformation.Cheers Danny.

Hello,I am pleased with my purchase of the 737NG. I have been noticing the winds, as indicated on the EADI display, disagree with the FS9 winds by 20 degrees. This is consistent with the local magnetic variation (20 East), which leads me to believe the EADI is displaying True Wind. Is this supposed to be so? If it's a bug, is it going to be fixed with SU2?BTW, not sure of the correct name for the outboard screen on the 737NG, but in 767PIC it's called the "EADI".Kenny Rogers
