    What does CWS do and when would I use it? I have a 737-400 cockpit video and the captain goes through the controls and tells about CMD A/B then points at CWS and says that is control wheel steering, but we rarely use that so i wont go into detail. What would a pilot use it for and how can i get it to work if i needed it in the NG?Brad Zimmer

    Hi All, Can anyone recommend someone who sells charts covering Europe? I have been looking at the Jeppesen's SimCharts 3.0 but two things are a bit of an annoyance: First of all, the package containing paper charts, contains only low-altitude enroute charts. Secondly, I cannot be bothered to get the right paper size and print all the DPs, STARS, IAPs etc. What I would like to know if there is a vendor that has these already printed along with some high-alt charts covering Europe.Thanks in advance,Boaz

    I run FS on either a desktop machine or a laptop depending on where I am at the time (the laptop has the faster processor and graphics of the two, but poorer usablility - keyboard, mouse,screen etc).Would the current licence/registration allow me to install the PMDG 737 on both machines, or would I have to stick with just one machine?And as a follow-up question, does the file download have to be carried out from the PC on which the 737 is to be installed? I normally access the internet from a third machine :)Thanks for any advice.--Bryn

    Dear PMDG members,Just a little question (sorry if this question has been posted before).Last week I made a flight at the cockpit of an Air Europa B737-800. Since I am a lover of NG -real and yours ;-)-, I noticed that two main LCD's for Captain and F/O are differents from ones PMDG has modelled on PMDG 737TNG.     Just a qick question before SU2 is released!Will the SU2 include enhancements to the feel and visual effects of the strut and compression of the main gears?In real life you can clearly see how the main gears struts out when the aircraft lifts of the ground, and how they're being considerably compressed at landings.I might be picky, but I'm not asking for flexings wings here! Just a little something to add a more realistic feel, and a visual differense and enhancement between hard and smooth landings.Thanks in advance!Kind regards,Steinar Thom

    Just a note to the team that after getting fustrated with some other payware aircraft over the last few months, I took the PMDG 737 out of the hangar (I was keeping it there till the SU2 release but could not stand it any longer) and did a KDEN-KORD-KMIA route with it on VATSIM. I gotta say, what a pleasant evening it was flying her. Everything worked and she is just a pure joy to fly with my PFC Jetliner Yoke and throttle quad. Handles and flies rock solid. Can't wait to see the VC improvements in SU2.

    anyone have a flight plan for this route that I can use in the FMC? The one I have from FS Build doesnt seem to come i the FMC. ---------KCLT-PAN5.LILLS-CR-WPT1-WPT2-WPT3-GUYRO-A638-SLUGO-TNCM----- that one has a bunch of stuff that doesnt come in the FMC (WPT2, 3, CR and A638.     Ok IF my understanding is correct, the APU supplys AC to power the aircraft. So, in the su2 will the APU keep the battery from runig down?And if the APU doesn't keep the battery charged, will the ground pwr keep it charged? Or is thier another way to keep the battery charged (other then FSCUIP). It is rather challenging to go down the checklists when the batter keeps discharching. And If yall havn't thought about it..... Well... Just a thought.

    Hello,I have put in about 10 or so hours in the 737NG now, and have generated a few questions:1) Where in the cockpit can I find the current time (GMT)?2) Where is radar altitude shown? On the ND, I see "radio 200", regardless of my altitude. (See picture attachment)3) On the picture I have attached, can anyone tell me what the bottom-right figure on the FMC is? It says "Fuel Quantity 7.0".4) On some of the longer flights, I have tried 2X speed. Does selecting a higher simulation rate have any negative effect on program stability?Thanks,Kenny Rogers

    I am thinking of buying Radar Contact. I have searched around and read about it, and want to know what you FS9/PMDG users think of it. I usually fly online, but though it can be very realistic, I find that when no ATC is available and no AI traffic is around, it is very UNrealistic. This is why I want to get Radar Contact. I like the idea of having clearance, ground, departure, center approach ect...for every airport at every flight. What do you guys all think? Does it do what they say it does? Is there a way I can hear sound/ATC voices or sounds before I buy it as well??? Thanks againBrad Zimmer

    Usually I create flight plans with FSBuild 2.1, which is now on AIRAC 0311 (more or less locked...) while PMDG's FMC uses 0312 - could this result in a problem? I'm thinking of the airway renaming in the UK or when altering a loaded (FSBuild) FP and then modifying it directly in the FMC.Kind regards,Nik @ LFSB

    I tried posting this in the AVSIM Flight School forum...I have a question about the V1 speed. I understand that V1 is the "go/no-go" decision point of the takeoff roll, and I am familiar with how V1 is calculated (Weight, wind, surface condition, etc).Years ago one of my flight instructors told me that V1 is "the maximum speed at which there is still enough runway to reject the takeoff". But I am hearing otherwise.     i just downloaded the 737NG. i logged onto navdata.at to find the FMC files but they were nowhere to be found. anybody got any advice? and why is it that when my center fuel tank runs out my wing tanks don't kick in? my engines shut down everytime even when my wing tanks are full

    Hello!Does anyone know if the default 737-400 is comparable to the 737-700 PMDG the same way these aircraft fly in real life?I've noticed that the default -400 needs a bit more pilot input when flying manually than the 737TNG. For example, when flying a manual approach, the -400 needs a lot more corrections while the -700 is more stable and feels lighter than the -400, making the -700 somewhat easier to fly. Another thing I've noticed is that the -700 needs more back pressure on the stick when banking.I would love to hear more comments/experience on this. :)

    What am I doing wrong? When my center tank runs out of fuel, my engines shut off even though I have LOTS of fuel in the wing tanks! Only if I turn the center tank fuel pumps off will it then start to use the wing tanks. Why doesn't the 737 automatically start to use the wing tanks without me first shuting off the center pumps? Also, should I be attempting to use the wing tanks FIRST and THEN the center tanks? I almost never have more than 1000 lbs of fuel in the center tank. Finally, I always seem to be critically low on fuel if I use the guidance that the NAV log suggests for fuel I will need. When I add reserve fuel, does that get added to the total fuel used or …

So many praises for it, and as many of you know me, I am an airliner nut... having owned PMDG items in the past, but not since FLY! was out... I am also a frame rate ######, only flying my favorite airliners with the default panels, but alas, I need realism now, systems etc.Currently my system is a P4, 1.5, 512 RDRAM, Win XP, Radeon 9700 PRO.
