Hello,I have since a month of 3 a new pc here at home. I do however struggle with my setup and to get the most out of it.Here is my setup Sony PCV-RZ46G/P4 3.2Mhz with HT/Ram 1G/Video Asus FX5600 128Mb/HD 180G/OS Win-XP Pro.For flying I have the following MSFS-2004/ PMDG 600-900/PMDG B1900/PSS Dash8-300/Ultimate Traffic.Resolution is set to 1280-960 and I am only getting high 30 on the FPS but if I fly into KMDW for instance it will drop below the 10fps needless to say with a clowdy day the fps are dropping as well.Currently I am thinking it is my video card that needs a boost, however before I do change I would like to see if I have everything setup well, I have been str…

1. This is a good time to check out www.smartcockpit.com. It has a lot of great information on the 737 NG (Especially the beautiful cockpit). May require a password.2. I used the PMDG styles menu to to change the tape color from light gray to dark gray. This makes is easier to see the magenta heading set numbers. Does not seem to have any negative effects.3. Just flew into MCO (18R), and for some strange reason the ILS display (ID and course) in the upper left of the PFD was in yellow with a line through it, even though the correct frequency was tuned and the correct course was set.Had no trouble with the approach itself aside from that.

I just took a short flight from KABQ to KDEN and I must say, THIS BIRD ROCKS!!!!!!! Frankly I was kind of afraid that my PC would be hurting with the new panel just like with 600/700 but you guys did a fantastic job on this panel, it is loading faster, the whole bird is loading faster for that matter, you delivered what you've promised, awesome! I've also noticed that you have lowered the quality of wing texture in the wingview, this really helps the perfomance and doesn't really affect the overall effect. I can't even imagine what you'll do with the 747 (!!!) which I'm waiting for very patiently, I hope it'll be as much of a success as the 737's, you guys deserve all the…

Hey guys just purchased the 800/900 series and all i can say is WOW!! u guys have really done an awesome job with improving the FPS. Even on my dinosaur of a system-by today's standards anyways-(Athlon 1200) I have seen my FPS go from about 10-12 up to around 20 except of course around really dense add-on airports. made the whole experience much more enjoyable.Keep up the great work and look forward to the Queen of Skies later on this summer!!P.S. love the improved textures too- not quite photo quality like one of your competitors but close!

Captains-At PMDG there are two of us who man the support desk 7 days a week.26APR04 is going to be unusual in that BOTH Paul and I will be heavily tasked with our "normal" jobs in the airline industry and we do not anticipate answering any technical support email until approximately 2200Z on 26APR04....Paul is working a few back to back shifts supporting his real airplanes and crews....We had planned to have me available all day on Monday, however the check-airman called in sick for my Proficiency Check last monday and it was rescheduled for 26APR04...... Not much we could do about that.... you know what they say about day jobs always getting in the way! ;-)As of 0300Z …

I have a concern. Whenever I open up the PMDG menu in FS, and i click on Styles, the screen goes black and i cant do anything! Sometimes i click it in the right place and return to the cockpit. Does anyone know why this is happening. BTW, this also happened in the 600/700 thanks Andrew

Twenty minutes on, no sign of it and I'm panicking that I might have typed my email address in wrong, but I'm fairly sure I didn't!If you've got it, how long did yours take, and PMDG guys, how long can I expect to wait?Ben

Just have to say that i made may first flight with this beauty (the 800) and i was really amazed! Its like love at first sight! But now the problem. The clickspots dont work in the "bleed air controls and indicators" panel and they also do not work in the "Air conditioning controls and indicators" panel. I dont know why, but those are the only two panels that seem not to work. NO CLICKSPOTS. thanks for your timeAndrew

On PC1 I have just FS2004 running and the following Go Flight modulesattached: GF-P8, GF-T8, GF-MCP, RP48, GF-TQ6, GF166A,GF-LGTOn PC2 I have: PM CDU, PM Glass Cockpit and Squawkbox.I use the PM CDU as my flight planning tool and FMS. I used the GF-MCP for autopilot. I think with all of that I am being redundant because the PMDG aircraft has all of those features incorporated into it.With all that said, I am unable to use the GF-MCP for autopilot. Theaircraft does not respond to the commands.Is there setting I should be enable or disabled on the aircraft to allow me to do this and use other GF modules.Thank You

I'm eager to get out of the office and get home to get the 800/900 series, quite frankly, I can't wait to do so! :)Before I do that I have a couple of questions:1. Are we able to import flight plan from FS9 to the FMC? The 600/700 did not have this option.2. How is the fps perfomance with the VC/Cabin? I know PMDG dramatically improved the panel.cfg loading so I just want to know if the performance of the above is better than 600/700?No matter what the answers are, I'm still getting the bird - no questions asked. Hi, pmdg team,thank you for all your products, they are great....I would like to know why do you not make 757 and 767 series instead of 747-400, because your same products for fly and fly2 were beautifull and you could make the same for fs2004.....indeed noone will make 757 and 767 for fs2004 "Wilco PIC767 will not become compatible with fs2004", instead other will make 747-400 for fs2004 "PSS"......your 737 series are wonderfull.....thanksbye

HiI have been loading my 737-800 with the Load Editor program.Unfortunately, when loading the aircraft to a ZFW higher than 130'000 lbs, causes the FMC to fail to calculate VREF. Secondly A-Floor marker will be active up to speeds of 250 knots.Any idea? 133'000 lbs is a very common ZFW loadoutcheersMartin

Hi Guys.Love the 800/900 - but are having a problem with the panels which I did not experince with the 600/700. Can somebody suggest a solution?I'm running two monitors on a XP-system (P4 2.8ghz and Radeon 9700Pro + 1Gb pc400 Ram). Normally on the 600/700 I will undock the throttle, radio, fmc and overhead to my second monitor. And then I just go flying and it works out fine.Now doing this with the 800/900 makes the cpu beg for 'air'. The cpu workload is around 80-90% and the cursor just starts flashing between the timeglas and the pointer/finger. I've been patient and been waiting for 40 minutes - it never catches its 'breath' again. And yes - I have been trying both wit…

It was stated back at the 600 release that indeed use of add-on weather programs could be a potentail issue. So of our beta team were on Active Sky's 2004 Beta team and can answer your questions about this more. I know many folks use both and with some tweaking through FSUIPC so maybe they can chime on in here. I bought and installed the PMDG 800/900 version last weekend and noticed the different instrument display afterwards even in the 600/700. I know you can change the design in the PMDG menu.I'd like to know the following:1) How do they look like in a real 737 - do they look more like before installing the 800/900 (PFD/ND) with less gauges in every display or more like the "new" (EFIS/MAP) default setting? Personally I more like the "old" style but I'd like to fly "as real as possible". 2) A "new" design is also shown for EICAS. Now the new default setting makes the display almost "empty".
