Hi everyone!Just a short question which came up during my last online-flight:I was flying at FL300 and selected speed intervention (pushed the button). The speed window with the current speed became visible and I was able to alter the mach number. Now I wanted to select 250kts and pressed the change-over (c/o)button, but it didn't work. I know, flying so high, normally mach-numbers are interesting, but nevertheless...is it realistic that it did not change from mach to KIAS?Thanks for any replies in advance, best regards,Stefan Bergert

Hi there - although not a 'newbie' to MS/FS family - I have always flown VFR. However, I recently purchased 737NG 600/700 and I enjoying starting engines and getting into commercial flying at last. But I have a question relating to the FMC and I wonder if anyone could help me please. If I decide to plan a route say London Stansted to Rome Ciampino, do I:-Use FS9's flight planner first in order to find waypoints etc?If not, how do I find all that information - is is programmed into the FMC?How do I associate the FMC with FS9's ATC - do they work 'hand in glove' ?Sorry for such a basic question - but I am only just finishing the tutorial on the test flight! And there was …

Hi,How do I enter a runway position shift into the FMC during the preflight cockpit preparation. For example, at LFPG, I don't want to use the entire length of the rwy 26R due to light weight of the aircraft, but I want (or the ATC tells me) to take off from taxiway W9, and the FMC needs to recalculate all reference speeds for the new rwy length.I didn't see anything about that in the manuals. So I suppose it may not be implemented yet ! In this case, it's something to put in the "to do" list for the next update maybe.rgds / Stephane

Sorry to bother you guys, its my first time posting, and just to let you know i love the PMDG planes they are just so cool, its good for a person who really wants to be a pilot but cannot due to finacal problems. anyway i was just wondering if anyone else has had a problem with some of their scenary and clouds disappearing they are flying mainly the 800/900 series. if you know if this problem and know how to fix please help.......thankyou!

I know that many of us "non-pilots" start the PMDG engines solely by chance, in that we click around some of the switches on the overhead until the engines "catch" and finally start. Is there a step by step checklist of which switch to hit in what order, so that the engines start properly?Forgive me for not having alot of time to spend reading the entire manual. Thanks very much.

Is there a fuel calculator for the 737 that is NOT an Excel spreadsheet? Not everyone has Excel. Thanx in advance.-Rick

Hi,Does anyone know of a list of changes in the 737NG Operations Manuals that will direct me directly to added/changed functionality such as updates to the FMC?PMDG: please consider adding change bars to the documentation. Your documentation is excellent, but I would really like to not have to read it all over again as updates come out, so change bars would be a welcome addition in my personal view. Thanks,FredrikThe three most useless things for a pilot are:- runway behind you- altitude above you- fuel in the bowser

Hi,For those of you who liked Rob Barendregt's Ground Handling Gauges Timothy Metzinger mentioned in his great tutorial for the 600/700 models, I have now modified their positions so they fit in the new radio panel that came with the 800/900 release (see attached screenshot in the bottom right corner marked by red rectangles). If anyone wants the modifications, just let me know. And as usual, always remember to first make a backup of your panel.cfg file before you do any changes to it if something goes wrong!

To the PMDG members:I know this is a support forum for PMDG, but I can't find any areas on the PMDG web site to find out information about upcoming projects. Rules for the forum do encourage the posting of questions/comments/general interest items.I am using an Airbus 319 developed by Creative Simulations International (CSI) and I have been very pleased with the look and performance of the model. After finding your site and becoming acquainted with your products, I am convinced that an Airbus 319 developed by PMDG would be the end-all be-all to my Flight simming experience. I know you guys probably get all kinds of requests for different aircraft to develop, and I apol…

Hey All,I'm pretty sure I've read here some posts on some issues foundwith the new 800/900, and thus 600/700 virtual cockpit, and I cant find them anymore.Since I purchased the 800/900, I too often experience CTD whenI load the VC model.I run an ATI 9800XT with 1Go DDRam .I didnt have the problem with the 600/700. Today, the Sim even crashed the whole system, and this had neverhappened before.Any know issue with the VC?Regards,Arnaud S, LFPG France

Well, let's see here, we got the 737...which is fantastic! It looks like next will be the 747, which I'm sure will also be a treat. So what SHOULD come next? Well, numerically, the 757 of course! This is an airplane begging for the PMDG touch! Just look at the list of operators. It's the only aircraft operated by all of the big 6 (American, United, Delta, Northwest, Continental, and US Airways), not to mention dozens of other airlines around the world. I'm sure you guys have a full plate and I also know everyone on this forum can think of an airplane that needs to be done, but I'm just adding my two cents!Anyways, thanks for all your contributions to the FS community. The 73…

Hi fellow captains, have two questions:1. I've noticed that the wing anti-ice switch is turned off by itself after takeoff, is it supposed to be like that?2. Is there any way you can turn the cabin lights off or at least dim them a bit during nighttime flights? When cruising on a long nighttime flight it feels a bit odd to have that bright light in the cabin during the whole flight.TIA,

Nick,You could try assigning a key in PMDG/General/Keyboard Commands/Various/107 - Toggle VC Yoke.David

In PIC 767 and PSS 747 & 777 you could press a key or click on one of the corners of the fmc, then you could use the keyboard to enter data into the scratch pad. I can't find anything in the fmc manual about this. Does this mean that you have to use the mouse and click on the keypad to make entries?

Hello Robert! I sent you a PM about this, but I imagine you don't check that very often.A couple weeks ago, I updated my 737 Fuel Planner utility to support the 800/900 variants. Could you update the version you have in the downloads section on the PMDG site? I have seen a few people in the forums asking why it only supports the 600/700, so I assume they got an old version from the PMDG site. The latest version can be downloaded here:http://www.metacraft.com/737NGFP/Here's a direct link:http://www.metacraft.com/737NGFP/download....lanner737NG.exeThanks!

Captains-Just a VERY short post to let you know that we have made a significant amount of progress in nailing down some of the issues that have been reported to us in the 3 weeks since release! We've broken the issues into categories- and worked them in order of significance....Currently we have a couple of issues related to the electrical system that are MUCH harder to track and reproduce- so we're essentially reconstructing the electrics line by line to see if we cannot resolve the issue even without being able to duplicate it consistently.....It's a slow process- and we expect it to take more time if we are to accomplish it correctly. In the mean time, however- we have d…
