Good afternoon, I am wondering if anyone was brave enough to install Windows 10 yet. If so, has there been compatibility issues? I am very tempted to install it, but am nervous that my PMDG and other high end addons will cease to work properly. Any insight would be awesome. Thank you.

Hi, Does the PMDG user license allow simultaneous Installs of PMDG products for personal use? Example: I moved P3D v2.5 onto my gaming laptop and just installed P3D v3 on my desktop PC. Does the license allow simultaneous installations into both PC's? Thanks Pete

Hi Apologies if this has been asked or already covered. I have the 777 for p3d 2.X and I'm looking to upgrade to v3 hopefully, but I have a question regarding the licencing and getting different versions of P3d. When I originally bought P3d I was covered by the Academic licence, and my PMDG 777 was bought for P3d on that version. However I'm now very close to becoming ineligible for the Academic licence so will most likely buy the professional version. If I purchase the Professional version of P3D v3 will my copy of the 777 still work ok in this version of P3D, or must I remain on the academic version for 777 to work Thanks

Hello, Everything was running fine until yesterday. Now the NGX loads up with a cold and dark display that I cannot manipulate at all. No buttons move. No green initialization in progress countdown. Reinstalled both FSX and NGX. Manually installed the 4 Simconnects. The NGX doesn't ask for a license key either. This is FSX:SE on Windows 10. I have been running this configuration for some time now with no problems. I cannot identify anything in my system that has changed since it last ran successfully. Thanks, Darrell Ryan

Hello all Went back to my Triple 7 today after some time away: bloody hell that is a beautiful model! Well, I mention this because I notce that, apart from anything else, I get good performance on my rig despite this being quite obviously an extremely sophisticated and complex model. Forgive me, then, if the following question is a stupid one and incapable of being answered at this stage but I have no understanding of the technicalities of virtual modelling so please put it down to my ignorance. My question is: do you envisage the performance of the 747 version to 2 to be around the same, worse/better than the triple 7 using the latter as a benchmark? Thanks N…

HI everyone, I have a question regarding the way the FMC displays a GP indication in the legs page between 2 waypoints in a database approach. The understanding I have is that normally, VNAV computes an IDLE descent path between 2 waypoints, and if not possible, then it will respect the contraints (ALT and SPD). All that is true, EXCEPT when in approach mode, where it has to follow a published GP. The way I understood things, the decision to have a GP 3.00° for example between 2 waypoints comes from the database, and not the FMC, because it means the procedure has been designed as such. surprised no one beat me to this. Prepar3D v3 was announced today, released in just two days. As the PMDG 737NGX is about the only addon aircraft I use, and I'm building a home cockpit around it, I was wondering if our V2-2.5 licences would be valid for v3? I am interested in upgrading, but not willing to purchase the NGX for a third time. Cheers Krikor

Captains, As we move our new 747 closer to beta testing, I think the time is finally right to begin showing you all of the rich, 747 simulation goodies that you can expect from the upcoming PMDG 747 bonanza! As you know, we are hard at work moving the new 747-400 and 747-8 product lines into beta testing. Then it charge for 345$(69$x5). I wanted to buy only one fsx 737 ngx product.. But my multiple trial get went wrong. Finally I got success with another pay method(PayPal). So finally I succeeded to buy fsx 737ngx. But duplicate charge problems are not treated.. Hi all, I am using P3D v2.5 with NGX. I also own NGX for FSX which I have been flying for the past few years now. I have a question regarding arming the speedbrake for landing. When I arm it using my keyboard SHIFT+/ it works of course but sometimes it disarms itself during approach. I then have to SHIFT+/ again. Not every time but this occurs often enough, maybe once in 3 approaches. Is there anything I can be doing to stop this self disarming? (It can be annoying during the hectic approach phase when this happens) This used to happen with my FSX too but never got around to asking anyone for solution. Hello All, In the days when the PMDG Team were developing the 737NGX and the 777, RSR and Tabs in particular would quite often Post in this Forum details of progress and also chip in with answers to members queries. I realise that in so doing this would slow down the developments of products but by the same token this all added to the rapport of them and us. With the addition of Kyle Rodgers, who does a great job, being spokesman for the Team, I would have thought that his presence would enable RSR and Tabs to concentrate fully with the development of the outstanding products thereby bringing these two aircraft to a much sooner completion. After upgrading my FSDT installation by downloading the latest Addon Manager, I got an error message saying that PMDGSounds.dll is defective when starting FSX. If I choose to load it anyway, I get an appcrash. If I don't load it, FSX starts normally. PMDG aircraft are all working normally, with sound (!) I can't for the life of me understand what has happened. I have tried the following, yes I know, some are far fetched, but at least I've not left anything out: 1. Uninstalling GSX, removing all related modules. 2. Checked and confirmed the sound settings/device in Windows, FSX and PMDG FMS. 3. Checked and confirmed .NET and all versions of the C++ librar…

Hi chaps, This isn't a request so much as a question about the mechanics behind the PMDG programming and designing. Would it be feasible to have a choice of transponder panels in forthcoming PMDG aircraft, in the same way that we can choose the supernumerary signs or standby flight instruments in the 777? I'm just aware that not all 777s, for example, have the particular Gables transponder modeled in the PMDG version. Some have the Bendix one, some have the keypad version etc. Would changing panels require complicated changes in the system logic or would it, in theory, be possible to have an optio to change them in the PMDG OPTIONS page? Hello, first of all I want to note that I have my PPL, so you can speak "aviation" to me☺. I have done many ILS, RNAV, VOR DME approaches with piper Seminole, Diamond, C172 etc etc... And still I have this myth in my head remembering someone use to tell me there's ILS approaches without Autoland. So my question basically is, how do I know if the ILS has autoland. I know it depends on the aircraft too, if it able to autoland or not. But are there ILS approaches that aren't autoland? Cheers.

Good Afternoon, I recently downloaded a livery package from AVSIM. I was in the process of installing the ptp using the operations center. However, it does not seem to be installing it. I select what I need then nothing. Is this an issue with the way the ptp was packaged? Is there any way to open a ptp for manual install? Or do I just need to e-mail the author. Thanks. New just uploaded to AVSIM Library yesterday and is available now (filename logeditv1-0.zip). LogEdit is a logbook editor (P3D only) reads and displays the Logbook.bin file in your LM appData area and allows editing of the data, as well as a tool I created to combine two records into one: Just the time for those trips that get saved and reloaded mid-flight to manage VAS memory. I composed this application in c# with Visual Studio so the code is "managed," NET 4.0 or later is targeted but I think it should work in the old NET 3.5 framework (feedback on this is appreciated).

I have looked and don't seem to be finding answers. Is PMDG going to support, currently supporting, or has already been supporting Windows 8.1(+)? I think PMDG is great. As I upgrade hardware, and more importantly, a new system wherein Windows 7 is NOT available anymore (and is not supported by Microsoft anymore), will support be provided? I want to continue to enjoy the products provided by PMDG. But, the costs to purchase won't be worth it (as an experiment to see if it WILL work or not) IF windows 8.1(+) are not supported, not to mention digital copies are NOT refundable if by experimentation, they don't work with an unsupported Windows product.
