In the past I recall many problems related with automatic flight and departure from expected operation to stem from the way MSFS models turbulence. Whenever I re-install any flavor of FSX, now again FSX:SE, and start using the PMDGs ( presently the 777 200 and 300 ) I notice that, even under the most adverse weather scenarios, with thunderstorms, shear and intense winds with shear, it's pretty much piece of cake to land the aircraft in any runway. I wonder if during that countdown we go through when a PMDG is being loaded into our flight simulator session, some smoothing of the turbulence and max wind intensity and shear scalars takes place, even if some external …

Hi, my name is Lukas Christl and I bought some months ago the FSX Version of the PMDG 737. Because I got a lot of Crashs with FSX I decided to try P3D V3. The new sim works much better than FSX on my system. So it is possible that I can change or upgrade my FSX License to a P3D License to have the 737 on my P3D? Thanks in advance Lukas Christl

PMDG Staff, I'm in the process of performing a new install after reinstalling Windows. I couldn't remember if the Ops Center was a separate install or if it installed as part of of the aircraft (NGX and/or 777) installation, and while researching I noticed according to the 777 product page (at the PMDG store page) says the Ops Center is included. I checked the NGX product page as well, however the Ops Center is not mentioned there. I'm assumng that the Ops Center is actually included in the NGX install, given that NGX customers (who don't also have the 777) would also require it. Hello, We are building "home cockpit" of Boeing 737-800 and we would like to use PMDG 737NGX software for our sim. The thing is that we are planning to use simulator for commercial purposes. We have not found any official contact and informations about that, so we are asking here. Is there any possibility to use PMDG software for profitable activity? I have been away from the hobby for 9 years or so. I recently built a new system and want to get back into FS. I'm looking for opinions as to whether I should just install my old copy of FSX with SP or do I need the Steam edition? Is there anything truly gained or lost by using the Steam edition? I was planning on jumping into P3D; however, the new edition isn't ready it seems for add-ons and I'm kinda broke. It also seems that a lot of people are content with FSX, so rather than pay for P3D, I think I should put FSX back on. My main desire is to install the MD-11. I loved that plane in FS9. Hi fellow virtual aviators! Is it normal, that the DL from PMDG is so dead slow?! It says I need 8 more hours for the PMDG 737NGX Base Pack!? I checked my line... it's all smooth and well. Has anyone a similiar experience? It's really driving me nuts. I had to re-buy the P3D version as I just quit FSX... now it will take the better part of the night to download that stuff. I'd expect a bit more bandwidth for paying customers... *sigh* Peter

As stated, in the header? Because I know it is a new release. Is it working ok with your PMDG products? I am a complete newbee at P3D, but I have been quietly watching people use it and it looks like a good step forward. All be it a bit expensive, and slightly pretentious licensing arrangment. If I like it maybe I will retract that statment very quickly. The reasons for buying by the way is that the interface looks good, and talk of stability and better general performance looks exciting. Hi, I recently installed v3 but after trying a side by side install of pmdg 738/739/736/737/772/773, neither p3d 2.5 nor p3d v3 work. I followed all install instructions. The sim just partially loads the aircraft and closes, no error. I've had an idea for the longest while to do a tutorial type video on how to properly escape windshear for flight sim especially now since that is a real possibility with the breakthrough that is Activesky Next. Although the video isnt as professionally done as i would have liked (ive just started to record gameplay video) and the audio is messed up, i still wanted to share it with you, as someone here might learn something they never knew before. Hi guys Since i was on AIRAC 1505 thought i'd better update all my AIRACS. Everyone has installed correctly apart from PMDG aircraft still on 1505 even though it says it has installed correctly? Thought it was admin control problem but the file has no admin right buttons, any ideas? thanks! Using FSX Steam.

Today a flew from Aberdeen to Liverpool. At liverpool the ILS frequencies of runway 09 and 27 are the same (111.75). ID of 09 is ILVR and ID of 27 is ILQ. ATC ordered me to land on 27, so I tuned 111.75 on NAV1 and set course selector to 269 degrees. Unfortunately the ID shown was ILVR and not ILQ! I saw this when the aircraft started to take strange angles to try to catch up with ILVR, so I had to go around. Second time i did a backcourse landing on ILVR and that worked. But my question is: is there a way to tune to ILQ instead of ILVR. I remember I had the same issue during the tutorial with runway 01R at KIAD. Hope someone is willing to help me with this. Just flew from Munich to Dulles and want to reproduce flight with the PMDG 777. However, I have never seen this kind of flightplan before. Can anyone interpret this for me? Hey, trying to download the v3 installers for my purchases. I enter my email and password, and get 'The login information you provided was not found in our database'. Now, I'm positive I'm using the correct email and password. If I choose "Forgot Password", I receive an email at the same email, and inside that email is the same password. I can copy and paste the password and email from the Forgot Password email I received and it still won't log me in. So I am pretty sure this isn't an issue with my typing. Is anyone else seeing this problem?

Hello 6 or 7 years ago I bought the MD11 and JS41 for FSX. I changed my pc and I saved both of the zips in a portable hard drive. Few days ago I wanted to install the JS41 and when I selected the aircraft in the FS menu it asked for an activation code. I don't remember where I saved it and the other issue is that I changed my email address couple years ago so I can't check any email from you when I bought the products. Just for the sake of understanding, in a B737NGX or B777 class of a/c: 1. My understanding is that during an RNAV LPV approach, the lateral and vertical cues on the PFD are very similar to that during an ILS approach (e.g., pink diamonds), so can a RNAV LPV approach be hand flown like an ILS approach can be hand flown (either with or without the FD, but no autopilot in control)? 2. Can an RNAV (RNP) approach that incorporates RF segments be hand flown? If so, what kind of guidance is provided on the PFD during the RF segments? 3. In reading about RNAV (RNP) approaches, it seems the requirements (equipment, pilot training, etc) are more demanding than for RNAV LP…

I'm running the new Prepar3d v3 with a fresh install of PMDG 737 NGX (just released with the v3 installer). In the virtual cockpit, I can't open the ATC window. However, using any of the "default" aircraft that come with P3D, I can open the ATC window (and at any airport / location). A few other people are reporting this in the P3D forum here.
