Help,Since I've been running Windows 7 64bit, FSX has been running great until the other day. Everytime I try to run FSX I get an error message that Microsoft Flight Simulator has stopped working. No solution found, but when I access the Windows 7 error logs, it states that there's an issue with multiplayer.dll. I uninstalled FSX, Level D 767, and PMDG 747-400. I reinstalled FSX without any addons and still have the same problem. I also tried windows compatibility mode with no luck. I have all of the latest updates and nvidia drivers and I'm at a loss.Any ideas? Thanks, GPHere's the actual error log:Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61472.0, time stam…

Dear AllAm not 100% sure if this is attributed to W7 however.....after installing W7 using SB was unable to see multiplayer aircraft. Tried every recomendation I found on the forums to no avail. So I went off and used FSINN which worked (since Oct) up until yesterday morning.I had purchased REX FS9 (and I really do not think it is the REX purchase, but was the only system change made) and my system went in to melt down. Everytime I started FSINN the system would crawl and lock.Eventually I gave in uninstalled FS which was a task in itself. Even with the re-install and FS9.1 running in default only (no adds on whatsoever) it is still giving the same issues slow multiplayer…

Hi, hope someone can help.I have W7-64bit and I installed FSX and it runs fine and everything, but now I'm trying to install SP1 and SP2 and it basically installs everything except right at the very end of installation, I get an error message basically saying the (SP1).exe does not have enough permission to modify FSX.exe.Thanks!Jeff

I am going to be building a new computer and I am at the point of choosing an OS: XP or 7. I plan on running:Citation XE-Jets737 PICI plan to use these in FS9. How many people have the products listed, running in windows 7, in FS9. If it works, how did you get it to work? If it just doesn't work, I'm going to be sticking with XP.

Hi everybody. This is my first post, hopefully in the right place :) I just installed FS2004 on my laptop running Windows 7 Ultimate. Flying and everything runs perfectly. However I have a major problem, when I try to watch any of the ingame training videos, FS2004 crashes to the desktop without any error messages. I tried all the compatibility settings with no luck. When setting compatibility mode to Vista SP2, the game does not crash, but then there is no picture on the videos just the sound. I noticed that somebody experienced the same problem on another forum, by a search on Google, but there was never posted a solution. If anybody has experienced a similar problem an…

Hello, I am experiencing the occasional CTD when accessing the menus. The poor guys over at the Ultimate Traffic forum are getting blamed for this but my research has shown that it may have something to do with uiautomationcore.dll. It just may be manifesting itself after the installation of UT2 because with UT, you will tend to access the menus more frequently. Most of the information I found was regarding Windows 7 RC and the issue seems to have gone off the radar. Was there a fix for this problem? If so, was it as simple as installing the uiautomationcore.dll from Vista32 in to the main FSX folder? Were can I get the .dll?Thanks.

OK, that description may sound confusing, but I have scoured the web for Win 7 stuff and cannot find an answer. So I thought I'd lay it on the crowd here to see if there's a simple solution:I do a lot of aircraft, mission, and scenery addons for beta testing. In doing so, it is most useful to have a Desktop icon that points directly to the folder where I do the D: drive downloads, and another one on the opposite side of the Desktop that points directly to the FSX folder on my C: drive (I have a widescreen display and work mostly in windowed mode rather than full screen for most new windows). In XP I could organize the size and shape of the folders that popped up and t…

Where can I find it? Going from XP to 7 without Vista in between - it can be a real pain trying to figure out where everything is. I don't see it in the control panel.

I just installed FSX into Windows 7 and so far it seems to run great, but I am having issues trying to add MyTraffic X to the scenery library. I verified BGLs are in the scenery folder and MTX installed okay, but I FSX will not let me add this to the library even though I have FSX.exe set to run as administrator under Vista compatibility mode.I am posting here instead of the MTX forum because my question is related to FSX, not MTX directly. Is anyone else with Windows 7 having issues with the scenery library in FSX? If so, and if you solved it, how so?I have been searching all over the place for a way to make my user account full admin in Windows 7, but found this is i…

I have installed Win7 on a fresh HDD on my P5B-E/E6600 system with a 7950Gt graphics card and was impressed on the ease of installation and the speed at which it picked up and installed extra devices etc. I installed the latest recommended Win 7 driver for the grahics cardHowever, when I installed FS9 I immediately ran into a problem. All was well in windowed mode but as soon as I went to full screen I found the following:1. Right clicking to bring up the menu - screen goes black for 4 - 5 secs, then menu appears.2. Selecting ALT for main menu - screen goes black for 4 - 5 secs, then menu appears but sometimes screen stays black. If normal picture appears, cursor {a…

I have Vista 32 bit and am looking to upgrade to the equivalevt Win 7 64 bit. I know I have to effectively clear the hard drive or at any rate let the installation program do it for me but I am uncertain as to the degree of back up I should perform as part of the process.I can back up documents and files but the issue comes whether I should back up programs, paticularly embedded flight sim add ons. I'm not sure how practical this would be and and whether this would work anyway.I would be interested to have thoughts on this please?Madair

Hi,I am thinking of upgrading my 32 bit Vista OS to a 64 bit Win7 Pro. But what I want to do is to start all the way from the beginning on the same system with Win7. I mean like entering the user name, password etc. all over again to start with a fresh computer. So how do I do this? I have a laptop with two hard drives. Should I format the hard drives, remove Vista and then install Win7 via CD boot and start all over again or is the procedure different?Cheers,Carvelle5000

Hi,A few months ago purchased an ASUS computer from Best Buy that has Vista 64 installed. The computer came with a free upgrade to Windows 7 when it became available. I have FSX on its own drive (D) and the operating system and most add ons on drive C. I have a lot of add ons including FSGenesis, REX, UTX and GEX (USA & Europe) and My Traffic 5.2b so it would be a pain to reinstall all these. My question is -- When I do upgrade to Windows 7 will I need to reinstall FSX and all the add ons? Thanks.Bill

Hi everyone,I've just recently purchased a new HP laptop with a NVidia GeForce GT130M graphics card onboard. This is a notebook version of the graphics card, not the GT130. I've installed NVidia WHQL driver software version 195.62. I've also installed the NVidia system tools software. The OS is Win7-64bit Home Premium edition (RTM).Now I've noticed in the NVidia settings that I have the option of changing up to 3 clock settings: Core clock; Memory clock; and Shader clock. The settings to change the cooling are grayed out, so I would assume that there is no separate cooling installed for the GPU itself. Now I was wondering which of these settings should I change to achieve …

I want to get Windows 7. Just for the ###### of it. I don't want to do dual boot as that's a lot of work and my hard drive already has 2 partitions on it.Basically, what I want to do is just put Windows 7 in place of XP, which I'm pretty sure I can do.My hard drive has 2 partitions. One is C:, which is where Windows XP is installed. The other is D:, which has all my important data (including games). So basically I already backed my system up. However, what I want to know is if I can even do this without consequence. If I were to just clear out the C: partition and install Windows 7 on it, would I still be able to access the D: partition without any issues? Or would I have…
