Ok, a little confused here. I know that the original RXP gauge package will not work with Win 7-64 because of the format it was built in. The A36 and Baron were my favourite aircraft of all time, and I'd hate to loose them.I have tried to install the A36 without the RXP pack and simply remove all references to the GNS430 gauges in the panel.cfg file. The plane loads up, but NOTHING works. All gauges blank, no sound, etc.... What do I need to do?I am finding it difficult to find good solid information on what to do with these planes. I certainly am not planning to dish out all that cash to purchase all these gauges just to get these planes working like original.What …

Me, my friends...only me.Just ordered the Ferrari of FSX boxes from Jetline Systems with a separate SSD for the Win-7 load and another 10,000 RPM HDD dedicated to FSX. I tried, on my current hardware, to do a separate load, but always ended up with some issues regarding file locations and the fsx.cfg commands that didn't find what they should have been able to locate. I loaded fsx onto win 7 osthings work fine but i cannot move my plane with skew key. as soon as i press key then all i see out the cockpit view is the plane spinning around 360 deg. anybody had this problem?thanks any help apprieciated

hi guys, i wonder if vox atc for 2004 would be able to install in windows 7 64 bits in the c; directory like the fs2004 in c/.i cant install the vox atc at all in windows 7. thanks in advance, paul in canada

How can I create a partition for all my files and program files and put only windows on its own partition (without having to reinstall windows). I would like this so when I have to uninstall windows for any reason I won't erase all of my files.

I'm new to both Windows 7 and FSX. When in full-screen mode, I've noticed that when I minimize FSX by hitting Alt-ESC, it is difficult to open the window again. I click on the icon in the task bar and get the little sound that tells me no deal...I keep pressing the icon and it eventually opens. Anybody else having this issue? Am I doing something wrong?Thanks

Hi guys this strange one just happeend recently when i click the fly option in the fsx screen sometimes its pauses and i get the mouse arrow turn into a rotating cicle, then it either starts fsx or shuts down to desktop aftet a short delay. Than sometime the fsx box after selecting an option will fade to a different color like a whitish backdrop and sit there thinking than it will retun to the option i have selected. i am having issues with flight simulator 9 and third party addons not showing their menu.everytime that i click in any of third part addons, they just stay at black screen, but if u alt-tab, you can see the addon menu.this is weird, since you can't configure the addons.someone know a solution for this?using windows 7 ultimate 64bits

Hi all, I've copied/pasted the directions below that are found in the MD-11X introduction pdf file about a 3gb patch that will allow FSX to use more than 2 gb. The directions are not very specific on where and how to do this I think. For one, I'm running window's 7 and when I right click my computer and go through the steps below. there is no option to edit and find the file it's talking about. Plus when I tried to run the downloaded attachment, a window's explorer window opens and opens a file. It does not run through an installation. Does anyone know if I even need this patch? I have Peter Dowson's FSUIPC 4.60 loaded along with Arrestor Cables 2.6, and I run Win-7 64-bit. The traps work fine. All indicators on the Arrcab screen, noises, blast deflector, and verbal cues are good for cat launch, EXCEPT that I don't get a launch after running up to 85% power and release of Parking Brake. The carriers are not stock AP boats, but those from Carriers 2006 that are loaded in the scenery folder as locations . All of Javier's carriers (with the launch box) work just super, but these do not for me. One of my flying collegues said it might be that I need an earlier version of FSUIPC, say 4.3, and this may be the issue. Do any of you run this setup u…

Hi, I currently use FSX on windows 7 64bit, but recently installed FS9 on a friends new computer which is also win7 64 Bit. He is a novice to FS so I was showing him around the learning centre and discovered when I tried to play one of the King School videos, FS crashed saying it had encountered a problem. I installed FS9 on to my own computer and the same thing happened. I run the programme as administrator, but it made no difference. Anyone any ideas as to what is causing this.ThanksMax

Hello, I've been having some problems installing the FlyMexico Photoreal (covers Mexico City area) scenery pack form OZx into my FSX. I'm running it on Win7 32-bit. I got around the adding scenery bug that is very known now, but the problem is the textures show, but not in the way the're supposed to. There are some areas that show ocean instead of the photo scenery tiles. The add-on photo textures show if you fly close to them, but still have some minor bugs. I tried to add some photoscenery with SBuilderX as an alternative, but got the same result.Does anyone know how to fix this?Thanks

The tab Map displays and reacts correctly (that is that I see well my plane moving on the map).As soon as I put Simtouch on my second monitor (USB with DisplayLink), no more map : the display for this tab becomes black. Hi, I am thinking of getting Win 7 to help with FSX performance.I have Vista 64 bit now. Am I better to get the full version of Home Premium 64 bit or the upgrade from Vista? Any downfalls of using the upgrade?Thanks,Greg Moore

I have just re-installed Win 7 (new mobo), and have just started going through Nick's Win 7 optimization. I am about to install FSX onto a separate drive to the OS, but cannot see the command to create a new folder (the Win7 help says to right click and then select "new), but "new" doesn't feature in the right click list, for this or any other drive). the FSX install menu doesn't include a "new folder" item, and anyway I would like to be able to create one regardless of FSX. I am logged in as Administrator. I have not activated Win 7 yet, if that is the issue. In my prior instance of this OS there were several ways to create a new folder, including an item on the men…

Hi,I am running Win7 for my FSX box and 2 XP machines as clients. I can see the Win7 share on each of my xp machines, but when clicking the share from an xp box it asks me for a login and password. What is interesting is that it makes no difference what I put in for the login and password. Win7 is throwing up this login dialog box but doesnt care what the heck you put in it to connect. I have looked at the win7 share dialog box on the Win7 machine and clicking "properties". I have set users up as "Everybody" and to have read/write capability, and I see nothing that would correspond to logging in. I am thinking that Win7 and XP do not talk exactly the same language. I am having a bear of a problem trying to install FSX Deluxe on a Windows 7 Professional 64-bit Vaio laptop. No matter what I do, I cannot get past a blank InstallShield window - once I choose my install options, that InstallShield windows opens - no information in it - just black - and that's it. It just sits there until I kill the process. I have tried numerous ways to get around this - including copying the discs to a hard drive directory and trying to install from there, rt-clicking the exe files and running as administrator (although the user profile has admin rights), disabling my firewall (PCTools), disabling Windows security settings, and other things - and hav…
