This is by far the most powerful tool XPX has to offer.Right now, my 152 is a little overloaded, and the Idaho mountains are looming and menacing. Hi guys, I don't post much here, but am an avid reader :)So my copy of X-Plane 10 arrived yesterday and I installed and updated today, had a few flights in some payware aircraft all good, very happy.I decided to check out Sydney Intl Airport (YSSY) and it appears the whole of Botany Bay is missing. The finals to runway 34L and 34R is over Botany Bay, I seem to have bushland.Can anyone else confirm this.Sorry if it's a known issue, I used the search function and couldn't find anythingCheers

Since I am now trying to grow with X-Plane 10, I want to better understand what to do to make it work best. One question comes to mind about aircraft developed for it. What are the significant differences between A/C developed exclusively for X-Plane 10 and previous versions of X-Plane?

I have been trying to work with osm2xp but I can't seem to get to first base with it.I have downloaded the Quick-start tutorial, gone to Open Street maps.com and saved a portion ofMontreal as a OSM file as kind of a test bed to see if I can make it work.Following the instructions of the Quick-start up to the point of selecting Build from the menu. I select Build and itjust seems to sit there and stare at me. The Osm file I am selecting is about 3Mb in size.Here is a screen shot of what I am getting; the red line advances for a while and then just seems to stop after startingthe 2nd line.The error of my ways?I am not sure of what I am seeing is all together correct based …

I've had this sim for about a week now and still have not been able to set correctly to make successful flight.1 - How do you effect brakes enough to keep plane still after starting engine in 172 Cessna? All efforts I have made only slow plane down but not totally stopped.2 - What is the lowest RPM the 172 can do without shutting down?3 - What gamma setting is typical?BTW - I have the latest updates available. Also, I am using CH flightsim yoke, pro pedals, and throttle quadrant.

Have had XPX a week or more and I still cannot alter the speed,hdg, etc - I get the half circle and plus or minus but how do I use it? :( No laughing just an answer will do :Whistle:Denis

Hope there is a fix for this.I just got started on my first plane and when I enable external view from planemaker I can see the prop spinning properly (pun intended). Is there a way I can see the prop this way without having external view enabled?Reason for this question is I want to keep FPS good so I'd rather not have external views activated from within the cockpit.Just a test post this really. It would be nice if we can get some XP stuff like this going in Avsim.Pete

Com 1 is selected and I can change frequencies. I've tried clicking everywhere on the GPS unit to select the Nav 1 for tuning and I can't.What's the secret?Thanks in advance,

Guys, what do I need to do to get rid of issues like this? There's no bridge or concrete around this area, it's perfectly flat. Also the highway below ground level in the distant. Is there some editing I need to do in OSM to correct this?Glen

Beeing rather a xplane newbie I wonder if there is ANY way to use the mousewheel for setting the instruments, sliders, knobs etc. inside the VC. Moving the whole mouse makes my view jump (in mouseview mode) all the time and sometimes I have to move all across the window to turn a knob just one notch. Using the mousewheel (and for zooming too) would be much better IMHO. But XP10 seems to ignore the mousewheel completely. Any ideas?Thanks

I have flown the MSFS series back to the Commodore 64 days, and decided to give XPlane 10 a shot. Experimented this morning with XUIPC and found it works great in XPX with FSC - quite pleased - because I can't make the network connection for showing "other stuff" on my network to work.Slowly growing on me is XPX. Denis the Menace

Does anyone know of a really high quality vintage biplane made for x-plane 9/10? I like the Stinson that came with x-plane 10 but want to do a virtual barnstorming flight from the east coast to the west with real world weather dialed in at each waypoint. It would be cool to do this in an old WACO or TravelAir biplane. I really want super high quality (Carenado standard quality). So far what I have found has been cartoonish in the cockpit. I haven't started the flight yet but if I can't find a really nice open cockpit plane I will go with the Stinson. I will request Carendo to consider making one really detailed vintage biplane.
