Hello,i'm playing FS since around 15 years. Now I think about trying X-Plane 10 and the CRJ 200. Now I have just some quick questions about it. - is it possible with xplane to use two screens? On the main screen I want to use the virtual cockpit, on the second I want to use some cockpit popups like the navdisplay, fmc etc.- has the crj a weather radar an terrain radar?- are there AI addons like in fsx for real AI Traffic withnreal airlins etc.thnks for any advices.

Hi everybody,have ordered XP10 today and decided it would be a good idea to install and try the demo first.Problem: The demo won't even start ! In the loading screen it says "Loading bitmap/resources/bitmaps/skycolors/sun_glow_socked.png" and then it hangs up - doesn't do anything any more.Downloaded the demo a second time but same result.Has anybody seen something similar and could probably point me in a direction what could go wrong ?The file is there and obvisously not corrupt - can manually open it just fine.CheersAlbert

Hi!Is it possible to increase the range of the local map? It is not really possible to make a flight plan using this built-in map, unless it is for a very short flight.Thanks!Mark

So I looked at the screenshots and video's of X-10 and figured I would download the demo. It took quite a while but finally loaded up.What a mess!! My system is a quad core with a 8800GT Nvidia card with 4gigs of ram. Runs FSX at 30+FPS. The demo looks horrible and is still choppy. Probably under 10FPS. Also I cant figure out why the King Air veers all over the place once it takes off. Not smooth at all. I've checked the weather and tried to work with my joystick. Just rubbish.Why would I pay money for something that is no good? Can anyone who has made this work please advise if maybe I am doing something wrong here? Do I need to spend a few thousand on a computer…

Crj 200 is my favorite airplane. The CRJ200 for x-plane plane looks absolutely awesome and studding! Like NGX quality!Could someone please maybe consider doing it for FSX? You would probably make a bahookoo more profit, as FSX is more popular.Just a request, that would make my year!Thanks!-Hnla

Hi there,I have been playing the demo and am quite impressed with the Seattle area as depicted.However can someone who has the full version elucidate on the regional differences?For example does Europe look like Europe?I like to sim a lot in Scotland; are the built-up areas where they are supposed to be and the coastlines well defined?Does it look plausibly Scottish or just a Scotland-shaped version of Seattle?Does the traffic drive on the left?I guess many people will be curious as to how XP looks in their area.(Looking forward to seasonal textures too à la FS)Thanks

Hi all,Sorry to start yet another thread on this subject, but was wondering if the following might take a little angst out of tuning XPX rendering settings for us technical luddites... especially those newcomers who are not used to the multiple tweaking options available in XPX.I notice that we now have a big button on the rendering settings page which, when pressed, sets up things for maximum smoke. It's a great idea and works well.But I'm wondering if the concept could be pushed a little further, and instead of a button we could have a slider with say 4-6 notches. Down the left would be maximum smoke, up the right would be maximum eye-candy, with various mixes in betwee…

Hi!I've been trying the XPX demo and am pretty sold on it, but have decided to wait out until Aerosoft release their European edition before purchasing. In the meantime, i've gone back to XP9, which i've had for ages, but never really given it much of a chance. In setting up the rendering settings, I found that in order to get decent FPS (30+), I can only run with objects at 'a lot' or lower. Any setting higher than 'a lot' for objects reduces FPS to 20, which I don't feel comfortable with. No other setting makes that much difference, it's Objects which is the killer. I would have thought, after reading XP9 like FSX is primarily CPU bound, that my 4GHz processor should be…

Hi,I recently bought X-plane 10. Although I'm pretty impressed by the simulation in general I'm having problems assigning my joysticks. I've got a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick,CH flight pedals and a Saitek Pro Flight yoke including thrust levers. Now I'm trying to assign the Z-axis of the Logitech joystick to the nose wheel steering which XPX seems to think is a dumb idea. It just won't let me do it. Instead, interstingly, the z-axis operates the number 1 engine, at least in the 747. If anyone can help me with this, I'd appreciate any input.ThanksMatt

If you get tired of flying one particular aircraft, but you can't find another that flies more realistically, ( the F33A Bonanza in mind), let me recommend Javier Rollon's T34C Mentor. Not only is it a fun aircraft to fly, it is a very good practice aircraft too. This plane is faster than the F33 and in the landing phase, you have to be more precise. It's a little slower to trim, but there again good practice learning to trim properly in X-Plane. A cavet, get the gear up as soon as you are airborne, very easy to overspeed the landing gear if you are full throttle at takeoff.

I must have done something wrong and don't know how to fix it. Whenever I go to an airport, there are only taxiways and runways but no airport terminals, gates and etc. What setting affects the display of airport terminals? I am using the official full install plus latest updates.Thanks

So I recently purchased XP10 and I have been looking hard for transport type aircraft, really great freeware or great payware... Not only can I not find great, I cannot find any at all. Another first impression thread...I really enjoyed the newer UI, I remember version 9 probably 9.4ish maybe, and I remember it being horrendous. I was actually a little happy with the way it guided you to set up your joysticks, and beyond the user error of it assigning an axis to "roll" when I was trying to click off screen it went very smoothly. After hearing all of the horror stories of FPS this and FPS that, I was very surprised to see the sim running at 60+ FPS on my default load up, I started switching things on and hit HDR... WHOA!, little bit of a slide show, but I took off 4x and put it to FXAA and put my frame limiter to "half of refresh rate" and I was back to a…

I cannot get the CL-415 to work. Both in Win7 and Ubuntu XPX crashes on loading this aircraft.Shame as I was looking forward to flying down to the coast for a paddle.Derry.

I seem to be finced in this morning. This is on runway 35R at KPWA OKC, OK.O don't know if this is a bug, or on purpose. Last night I updated X-Plane 10 downloaded about a Megabyte of data, flew a bit and everything was ok. this morining I took off on 17L and noticed something in the middle of the runway of 35R. I circled around did a downwind and there in the middle of the runway although on the threshold was this antenna. So naturally being the inquistive person that I am, I landed to see if it was indeed solid, if it would crash me, or maybe I was seeing things. Hello all,I'm a Win 7 64 bit user. I have Ubutu Linux installed on a seperate partition but have not played with it much..So, on to my question..any performance advantages from wiin 7 to linux? Is one quicker than the other?I would like to try XPX on Linux, but to be honest, I don't know anything about linux and have no idea how to go about getting the exe to install :( LOL..If someone could drop a hint on how to get the program to install, I'd appreciate it :( tried the usual win double click but no joy.Thanks
