http://www.truscenery.com/index.php/downloads/sceneries/18-rantasalmi-efrn-1-0 Great piece of freebie GA airport right in the heart of finnish countryside, surrounded by the thousands of lakes we are known for... Also if you have other Truscenery freebies and paywares makes for a nice GA flight. Did I already say its free!? ^_^

http://youtu.be/QrCnzG_ui7o the video was good but only the Airbus A321 was payware, I think the rest were freeware.

I know I'm going to have to switch to X-Plane sooner or later. I would prefer to do it sooner, but I've become too used to having a moving map and an FMS type interface, even for aircraft that do not have a FMS. So, the question is are there utilities available for these functions in the X-Plane world running Apple's OS X operating system? Also, is it possible to run these utilities on a separate computer from the one running X-Plane? alan

Does the FMS accept navigraph? I won't lay down any more money for XP addons unless I can get navigraph support. Ok well I might lol but I'd really prefer navigraph in turbojets.

Ok, given the coments by Geofa, i decided to download XP10's latest demo (10.21 I believe...). As Geofa suggests, at least for the test situations he ran, the torque bug might have been fixed (?) This is strange because I think such a positive change should have been announced by LR. Probably - but that I will find sooner or later - the default aircraft were tunned to lessen the effect of troque-induced roll(?) I would like to see this, preferably if not done through the use of artificial stability.... Going to the XP site I was surprised to find with the download the links for 5 nice aircraft. I knew about them all, and had tested the Robin. Downloaded all of it... X-…

I have found, that with my monitor at max brightness, and GAMMA at even 4.0, I can't see the plane's body, it being so darkly rendered. How can one brighten up the night so you can see detail, such as you can in night mode with FSX? Is this an HDR thing, or is it this dark at night in XPX in general?

Hello all, after years and years of FSX (a a year of Prepar3d), I'm actually considering jumping to X-Plane. I guess one gets fed up of tweaking an aged product that can't keep up with modern hardware. Anyhow, can you tell me if this would do the trick with X-Plane - especially letting me know if it just doesn't cut it. Thanks a bunch. 3rd Gen Intel® Core™ i7-3632QM processor (6MB cache, up to 3.2Ghz) Windows 8, 64-bit 8GB3 Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1600MHz 1TB 5400RPM SATA HDD + 32GB mSATA SSD w/Intel Smart Response 8X Tray Load CD/DVD Burner (Dual Layer DVD+/-RW Drive) Radeon™ HD 7730M 2GB

OK, this might be slightly off topic, mods please move it to a more appropriate forum if needs be. One week off from work, combined with some fine weather normally sees me off to the scottish highlands, except the west coast mountains were getting drenched while the eastern grampian mountains were enjoying the rain shadow effect. What could I do? The usual gardening had been done, and it's far too fine a day to be inside playing on x-plane....... so I reverted to my new year's resolution list. That's what it said, but I just wanted some fun. No great commitments and no great drain on my wallet. So,,,, a trial gliding lesson at deeside gliding club was t…

Hi all Just bought X-plane10 and so far it's been pretty impressive especially at night ...WOW, however I hear there are plugins that enhances the sim that little bit better. So what do I need to get (freeware or payware) that you would consider a must have. Thanks

This is being SO ORDERED! ---------------------------------------------------- On my system, with everything max'ed---HDR on, with the exceptions of no balloons and forest fires, and no frigates. Running 64 bit. OMG! This simulator is smooooooooooooooth in all animations, textures crisp, view 100 miles out clear as a bell, no CTD, no OOM. OMG! This is fantastic. I can't remember being so excited with a flight simulator right out of the 'wrapper', so to speak! I would say that the GLOBAL scenery as per FSX, is equal to 3/4 any ORBX product. It is THAT good! Oh yeah...this is going to be ordered as soon as I can pull myself away from the dang DEMO, l…

Hi all, I have a couple of questions, as I am seriously considering jumping into (finally realized....) a 64 bit-enabled flight simulator. Here are my system specs; W7 64 bit Ultimate O.S. CPU i7-975 extreme over clocked and stable, to 4.2 GHz. 12 GB's of 1600 MHz system RAM Single GTX 680 overclock Signature edition (with a slight bump in oc from the oc that it comes shipped with. 1 1TB Velociraptor 10,000 RPM HD. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- With the system stated, I can stay and keep a constant 30 FPS with FSX totally slider-maxed, except for Clouds set to 60 miles as OPUS completely populates …
