  1. Just tried the Carenado Mooney in X-Plane. A nice plane, but it has one very annoying bug: When you retract the flaps, the aircraft noses down; when you lower them it noses up. This is exactly the opposite of what the real aircraft would do, it's not a Cessna! It's disconcerting that Carenado managed to make such a basic mistake. However I hope I can rectify it myself in Planemaker — so does anyone have any tips on how to do that?

Question 2 of 2. XPX: Started using it yesterday. In the past, I haven't messed around with the GPS much. Now that I fly a few airplanes equipped with 430s and 530s, I started clicking around... not much happening there. Am I missing something or are most of the buttons cosmetic? So.... I use the Reality XP stuff on the FSX side, but would like to move away from them if possible with X-plane as it doesn't seem like they're developing any more. (Plus, I already bought all their stuff...) I'd likely change my mind if I could use a subscription to keep the databases current. Basically: I would like a fully (or mostly) functioning 530/430 or comparable GPS…

  3. Question 1 of 2. Hi all- Got XP10 yesterday and fired it up when I got home... A lot of fun so far - just wanted to ask, though, how the heck what guides the buildings that are placed? I was under the impression that the lanscape was populated based on some sort of geographic division, e.g. "Park" or "Residential". However, (and of course I looked at my own neighborhood first) I'm seeing the inner part of our neighborhood filled with what look like mobile homes, and the outer part filled with "normal houses" (correct) but interspersed with small industrial warehouses! Lol... Also, lots of what I know to be relatively rural areas, including farm lan…

Posted Today, 12:36 AM Hi, Folks, It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I announce we have folded up the Saab 340A project. There have been many uphill battles in development with this project, especially in the programming side. While we did get 90% of the way there in our development, that last 10% often times amounts to the biggest hurdles in these kind of products. Leading Edge Simulations' team will be taking a small break away from any kind of development over the next couple weeks. We believe there is a larger market for slightly more simplistic simulations that take less programming and better 3D/eye candy. As such, we will soon announce the next two …

  8. Hello everyone ! While a thread for our airplane is already opened on another forum for a while, I think it's also good that it's shown here, where there is a growth in X-Plane simmers since X-Plane 10 is out. This project started in March of last year, and is carried by MR3D, the nice scenery developer of HMS Jackdaw, EGOD and the really great Mitsubish A6M2 Zero japanese fighter ( http://hosting.x-pla...bsite/zero.html), and me. The tasks are divided like this : MR3D : - 3D model of the plane and cockpit - Texturing, animating Hueyman : - 3D model of the turbine and the prop - Flight model and systems - Sounds recording We should both …

  10. I have been flying FSX for about 18 months, and had made a substantial investment in both add-on software -and- hardware control surfaces. Yet tonight, I experienced a thrilling landing at Las Vegas McCarren that I NEVER had with FSX. Flying the Ramzzess 777-200, cleared via PilotEdge realtime ATC for visual final approach runway 1L, I floated down at 140 knots and about 500 feet over the ground as I crossed over the freeway that winds around the airport and goes down the strip in Las Vegas. It was a clear evening, and visibility was great. The view of the traffic bustling along below the plane was mind-blowing - MANY TIMES superior to anything I ever saw in literal…

  14. Here's a great mod from Sabach, just wanted to share it with you guys incase you haven't already heard about it. http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showtopic=66227 This is a great mod that will enhance the sky colors and fix the terrible default looking clouds in X-Plane 10. It's an ongoing development so things will get better as the project moves on. But so far this looks much better than the original.

  15. Designed for new pilots and those curious about X-Plane. Had a problem with getting the return audio from ATC on the video, but Bob's your uncle! From cold and dark to loading fuel, initializing the aircraft and FMC, connecting to ATC, filing the flight plan, and so on. Watch a little or watch it all-- it's up to you, and what you need (if anything) to maximize your use of the very fine Ramzzess Boeing 777-200LR Worldliner and X-Plane 64-bits. About 90 minutes. No music. If built for entertainment only, this would not be 90 minutes. It's for use by new owners of the payware B777. It will be available for viewing after some bit of time, YouTube has to compres…

Hello,I'm looking for your opinion on those who own and fly The FlyJSim Boeing 727 Package. It's on sale at The org.store and I'm thinking about buying it. I usually fly GA but this looks like a good entry level Airliner to pick up since it's an older model. I welcome your opinions,pros/cons.Thank You. http://x-plane.org/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XT1MdVpejaY&feature=player_embedded

  18. I can't say because, as you know, I do not have it anymore (XP10), but just received this from my VFlyteAir account: Dear vFlyteAir Customer, vFlyteAir is proud to announce the release of the Renegade Light Sport Falcon LS! The Falcon LS light sport (ultra light) was developed by request from the US manufacturer, Renegade Light Sport Aircraft. The Falcon LS features a conventional Lycoming direct-drive engine (2800RPM redline). The Lycoming IO-233-LS engine was developed based on the timeless Lycoming O-230 engine that has powered the Cessna 150/152 for decades. The vFlyteAir Falcon LS was delivered to Renegade Light Sport several days ago for final testing, and her…

The simmer I sold my copy of X-Plane10 Global to is so happy with the sim that he makes me happy too, if not for him, for the fact that indeed X-Plane10 makes many users more than satisfied, specially those who come from MSFS and had problems of stability with that sim. I can only regret not being able to hand him my LES and Carenado add-ons (the only i bought for XP10) because of their EULAs. Anyway, I am sure he will soon get those I mentioned. He certainly laughs at my arguments for having given up on X-Plane10, and at the same time is thankful for me thinking like that because, after all, he got it! :-) He comes from FSX, has a much more sophisticated simu…

Hello folks... I have a bevy of questions, as I have just finished the Homeric epic called the X-Plane 9 install on my iMac with i5 processor and 12 gig of RAM (in Mac OS X). After what seemed to be hours, I have got her up and running. Neat looking so far, glad I finally decided to install it. I have had the 6 DVD set for some time but chose not to install it since I have always been a hardcore MSFS9x (FS2004) guy. So much so that I have spent hundreds of dollars on add-ons. This was back when I was younger, more foolish, and richer. Regardless, I got tired of rebooting my machine into the Windows XP Bootcamp partition so I gave this a go. Like I said, …

I am current on the aircraft but totally new to the iMac and X-Plane. I thought it would be a good training tool, no comment on what I think is harder to work with! I had a whole lot of trouble with the aircraft key. I finally managed to figure out how to copy it and change the B777 folder to read and write so I could put the key in the worldliner folder. I am still unable to operate the 777, it just sits there cold and i cannot select anything. What am I doing wrong?
