I get screen tearing no matter what options I select UNLESS I go with the following. In Nvidia inspector I have to select triple buffering, standard vsync and 1/2 refresh rate. Its the Only way to get rid of the tearing. This has drawbacks, it induces stutters if the FPS drops below 30, and then shuns them down to 20! No middle ground.... Am I doing something wrong? I have a 60HZ monitor with 1ms response times. And a GTX 770 4GB with i5 4670k @4ghz and 16GB ram. Thanks Ian

Hello, After years of using FS9, FSX and now P3D, I would like to try a X-Plane. I would like to ask a few questions, basically about addons. I will list addons I am using in P3D, and could you please write down if there is good equivalent in X-Plane? Aircrafts: I use mainly 3 addons here: Aerosoft A320 PMDG 737 Majestic Dash Q400 I heard that Jar Design A320 is a good option? What about other jet/turboprop airplanes? 2. Hello! I am starting with simming altogether so excuse me if that's quite a noobie question. I found Fs2crew and I LOVE the idea behind it. I would really like to enrich the immersion in the game with an automated crew. But is Fs2crew addon for various planes compatible with X-Plane? If not, is there any replacement for XP10? Anything even remotely similar that would help me achieve that level of immersion? Thank you in advance!

I have been looking at some videos of the FF Airbus 350 which looks beautify and has some very exciting & clever features. I am seriously considering purchasing and having recently moved from FSX to X Plane, I want to be sure that your version is as close I can get to the real thing. When I bought X Plane I also purchased the JarDesign A320, while most of the JD A320 was Ok, there are a number of things that disappoint me e.g. the slightly limited FMC and the number of inoperative buttons. I have experienced a couple of small issues and it could be that I am doing something wrong. I have taken a quick look at the FCOM documentation but cannot see the answer 1 - The last couple of times I have landed, I have exited the runway and then come to stop, which I switch on the APU and do the other stuff I need to do. When I push the throttles nothing happens, the engines don't react and the throttle quadrant does not move - basically I am stuck on the taxiway with no way to get going again. 2 - I have noticed that sometimes when I want to call for the Fuel Truck the button will not switch on, the Load button works, as does the CAT and STR, its just the fuel…

Today I took a decision... I really had to try HD Mesh v3, but I couldn't find the space to get it for the full scenery install of XP10. I also have Il2 BoS and look fwd to get DCS v1.5 when available until the end of the month, so.... I decided to restrict my scenery area to that which corresponds to 99% of my flights - The Iberia Peninsula, plus the Azores and Madeira islands, and for those areas I got: - HD Mesh v3 - World2XP Europe West ( 1 ) Wow!!!! What can I say ? For me it looks even better than with the ZL16 photoscenery I was using before, and raised my admiration for XP10 another 100% :-)

Lots of news lately about X-Plane's current and upcoming 737 simulations, but I haven't seen much mentioned here regarding the upcoming virtual cockpit for EADT's x737 project. While the cockpit has been in the works for a while now, it's begun to take shape over the past several weeks and the devs have been sharing some eye candy over on the .Org. In case you've missed it, check out the screens below! Note: the most recent updates have stressed that this is still a way out since additional systems need to be implemented, so try not to get too antsy! Also, when the cockpit is completed, the project will remain donationware.

I fired up my XPX.40RC1 and saw that a 40 MB update was available. I accepted the download, and when next firing up XPX, it now shows as XP 10.40 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Since running, I noticed immediately at KFNT (custom airport), that my FPS were not going below 29-30 FPS. This is the best FPS performance I have had to date with any version of the Xplane 10.x, beta or none beta. Good day. I have downloaded my local airport from the org. Its great. However, I have roads going through the airport with traffic on! I've tried creating an exclusion zone in wed, and it appears OK, as I export the airport. But when I load x-plane back up, the whole airport has disappeared, no objects? What am I doing wrong? So, I just bought X-Plane(downloading it now). I couldn't hold out any longer. I watched too many YouTube videos and couldn't stand it any more. I'm going to buy the Jar Design A320 as my first purchase for it. I see that SimMarket has it for sale currently. I assume this is the same version and I can update this to latest just as easy as if I bought it directly from Jar Design? I'm sure it is but just curious if anyone knows for sure and/or had any issues related to getting latest versions for it if you don't buy straight from the developer. As the title says: it's out, newly released at the dot org. I've been checking the org at least four or five times a day for this; I guessed it was imminent since I saw the Aerobask website change a few days ago, and there was a google gallery of images for it uploaded by Nicolas Taureau at the org a few days ago as well. Yes... I may have been looking forward to this one a wee bit... I know what I'm doing tonight!! Looks gorgeous even just sitting still. Great looking assortment of instrumentation as well. Plus it goes plenty fast... Should be a nice combination of fun to fly and comfortable to cruise in.

How do I force the view to start each time I load the sim? Strange thing is with the demo when I opened X Plane the cockpit view was always mouseable (is that a word ?) but with the full version version it opens with static cockpit view and I then must go to "Views" and change it to 3d view. How do I start X Plane with a situation? In FSX you can save a situation and make it open with that situation. So far X Plane opens with the plane at some random airport (757 on a grass strip?).
