Here is what I have the sim set for, and the following screen-shots is what I am getting at KFNT custom, at Gate 3, push back, taxi to active, and rotation. I'm impressed..and this is with the 4K textures. Here are outside, and cockpit shots with totally acceptable FPS generation. I'm going to definitely get a new 4-6 GB high-end GC...but for now, you can have your visual cake and eat it too, even with a 2GB card such as my GTX 680!

For a single computer, what I.P. address should you put into the XPUICP. int mask, or for that matter, if anybody has Plan-G connected to XP with the latest XPUICP file...can you please share your init settings? Thanks

Hi, I am just getting into X-plane, had been using FSX. Anyway I have been trying to improve the default scenery so I download "W2XP_ Europe" scenery from Simheaven, installed it in my "Custom Scenery" folder, installed all the various libraries (R2,FF,world models,openscenery X), made sure W2XP_Europe was in the right order, just below the Airports, in the scenery ini file. Before installing W2XP__Europe, XP would take about 30-45 SECONDS to fully load, with W2XP_Europe, the loading screen in XP gets to saying "Loading New Scenery Files", and that's where it stays, I have left it loading like this for 40 MINUETES and although the hard disk light is flashing, it stll neve…

I installed the new X-Plane B767-300 from fligtfactor but i'm missing two options 1. Weight etc. only in Lbs. There are a lot of company's they using Kg 2. Only PW4000 engines. That's the only negatief point at this moment Regards Jovabra

I've been interested in getting XP for some time. I run FSX:SE pretty smoothly (with addons) with my dated PC - i7 920, 8GB RAM and an ATI 5870. Would I be able to handle X-Plane just as well?

I've clean installed X-Plane 10 and attempted to update it to 10.42. However, the installer is saying it's taking 120 hours?? With a 4kb/s download speed?? Has this happened to anyone? I'd try it on my mac, but I don't have an external CD slot, so only on my custom built PC. Really disappointed it's taking this long though. [EDIT] - NVM I got it to work. I restored from a previous backup. Else there's no other way than waiting out the 120 hours.

So after about a 6 year hiatus, I got the itch to get back into flight siming. Had FSX, can't find the discs, and the few add-ons I had are long gone. So did a little research and looks to me like X-Plane is the best bet for a fresh startup at this point. I'm an inactive PP, so the 'alleged' more realistic flight model is attractive. Plus would like to explore VA's. I'm waiting for my 16 gigs of ram and new video card to arrive, and also the CH Eclipse yoke and pro pedals I got on ebay. Hello, New weather addon appeared on the x-plane.org store site. Link to store removed I assume it's too early to ask for opinions, but is anyone planning to get it? I haven't gotten SkyMAXX as their top layers looks extremely unrealistic to me, whike Ultra's Weather screenshots seem to present what I am looking for. Hi all, Yesterday, I flew out via chopper, to the Nimitz, and when attempting to land on the midsection of the flight deck...sank right through it. Is the XP aircraft carrier model not a 'hard deck', that allows you to land, take off, etc? Is there some setting that makes it so? Any help would be appreciated. Oh...btw, the animation is just great...as I hovered I saw waving flight deck crew, the plane elevator going down to the hangar deck, and when I went down through the flight deck...I passed into the space of the hangar...and it is fully detailed, rendered, with great crew and plane/equipment graphics. Ok, so I have reached a point where my 8 year old FSX PC needs replacing. I am considering X Plane or P3d? So, looking at X Planes 64 bit platform, I am immediately drawn to a sim that can use more than 4 Gb and in fact a whole lot more. That thought alone is a big draw. However, looking at You Tube vids, I see X Plane is, well, rather bland scenery wise at first install? Also the weather generation? So a couple of questions. Apart from Skymaxx pro is there another weather/texture program? I see REX is only available for X Plane 9? Which is a shame, since I have used REX for a while in FSX. I recently installed a certain addon aircraft, and noticed immediately alot of weird readings on my instruments. I had manifold pressure and CHT readings in cold and dark, I had negative altitude readings in the altimeter, the compass was wrong and did not respond during flight, autopilot did not respond to most modes etc. I thought it was just the addon being bugged or me doing something wrong on startup. Decided to fly something else in the meantime. Then I see that this has happened to ALL my aircraft in XPX. Well all the ones I've tried so far. The errors are different between the aircraft, but all have several systems and instruments not working as normal anymore…
