Hi everyone and happy holidays to all. :-) If I wanted to create some movies in X-plane 10.42, what is the best method? I ask because some of the latest add ons don't work properly in playback, animations, sounds etc... If I choose AVIs, I can't switch views other than when recording in real time..hence why I like the internal playback. What are most using to accomplish this? I see movies of the new FF767, Jar A330, Rotate MD80 for example. I have tried with the Jar A330 in the past, but the new BBS sound pack won't work properly in the built in X-Plane playback. Hello pilots, I am new to XPX and I have a few questions about this great flight sim. 1. What is the proper way and where to install new aircraft and scenery in order for it to work within XPX ? 2. I am using Trackir 5 with XPX an someone said that I may won't to use X-camera in the future. How does it work with Trackir and how do you set it up? 3. What is the best weather for me to set up with XPX and how do I install and set up? 4. What about AI air traffic ? Is there a good program for that ? Thanks so much

I upgraded my card from a GTX 970 to a MSI GTX 980 TI 6GB over the weekend. I wanted to see how far I can push my card. So I was running MSI Burner while cranking up the graphic in X-plane 10. My rig is an i5-4670k and 16GB RAM. Not only does my CPU not bottleneck at all, my GPU usage and power were barely going at 30-40%. It didn't matter which settings I was cranking up. I verified in the Nvidia CP. My card is setup for maximum performance. This is with an Boeing 777 Wordliner. What the hell is going with X-plane 10 ? Just to verify my sanity. I ran Metro Light in 1440p with everything maxed. I was averaging 85 fps. So I know it's not my rig.

Hi there, I'm the developer of skyLOGX which is currently being updated with lots of new features. I'm planning to add interaction with X-Plane as well (like reading XP database, etc) to my app which I hope XP users will like. Since I don't use XP atm, I am not able to test the XP portions of the application and I thought to ask for your help, guys. I paid for a full install of X-Plane and selected all the scenery for download. For some reason Switzerland is mostly water and I get a message box telling me that when I try to go to a Swiss airport.

Since scenery in out of the box XP is inferiour to what i Have in FSX I immediately started to add scenery products. I encountered more problem than expected. First I tried the World Mesh Scenery V3 and i used a tile in Europe covering Sweden so no densely or mountainous area. After that around my home city the scenery improved to approximately what I have in FSX with GEX Europe + UTX Europe. After that I also tried the W2XP scenery for Europe. Than the sim went practically unusable because of prompts about being low on memory and messages about not being able to load scenery and then crashes (that sometimes made it necessary to press the computers reset button). I was blown away with how real my first flight was. The short default flight answered a lot of questions for me. The AI auto traffic, the speed at which the AI cars and trucks are going, tail and headlights are so real. The traffic did not look like they were on a slot track like in other sims. I am a GA flier mainly and i thought the default scenery was fabulous ! Next, I have to find out now how to get my Trackir 5 working. I see now that xpx is going to be a lot of fun to set up and my main thing is to go at it slow and read the manual and not be shy and to ask questions when needed.

Guys, re-installed my preferred EVER Airbus for X-Plane 10 - the QPAC A320. Wake me up when something performs as PERFECT as this Airbus for X-Plane 10... Not just autoland, but the whole FMGS, the FBW laws implemented, the flight dynamics, etc... Does it have a gorgeous instrument panel, lot's of great functionalities, full systems simulation ? Nope! Will come with the Professional update somewhere in the future, but, there is simply nothing that comes on pair with it, with the closest exception being Peter's Airbuses.... I've heard that the A350 ( by FF ? ) also uses the QPAC module ?

Well, the Holidays are over and all the company has gone so last night I finely got to install my XPX DVD's (all 8 of them). The install went well and faster than I thought. The program recommended download to the desktop which I did. Now, where do I go from here? Does XPX stay on the desktop? Hope the questions I will have in the future don't sound silly, just please bare with me (Ha) My plan is to take it nice and slow because I'm on no timetable to learn all I can about this sim. It's a great community here. I know the UI takes a while to learn so that is what I plan to do.

How are you all flying multi engine planes as far as controlling power/prop/mixture? I have the CH Eclipse yoke and have been using it's built in TQ for single engine. Started looking at moving up to multi engine, but it seems like I really need a dedicated multi engine TQ like what CH offers. Is there any other way to reasonably do this without buying another piece of hardware? I guess I have no choice if I don't want to use the keyboard.. which I really find clunky for this purpose. Also, too bad there is not a add on to the yoke that uses the single engine TQ I already have.

I have just bought XP 10 and I want to get some good planes to use instead of the default ones which I don't think is good. In the first place I want a GA planes but others might be of interest later. I hould point out that I'm spoiled with A2A Realair and PMDG in FSX so I wan't the best for XPlane. First question is there some high quality free ware planes for XP or will I have to get pay ware ?

Hi all. I've decided to dip my toe back into simming, which usually happens after making a real world flight. Anyone else have that happen? You drop out for a bit, then get the fire re-lit after flying for real? Heh... Anyway, since I was last active in simming, I've switched over to Linux Mint. Originally, it was so I could play 64 bit Kerbal Space Program with a ridiculous amount of addons, since it uses memory better than Windows. As a side effect, the last time I logged into Windows was to snag a free Win 10 upgrade, but Linux is now my default OS. I was wondering if there were any addons that had a problem running in Linux. Well, I am seriously considering, since I was an active XP10 user sometime ago, taking the chance of an upcoming promotional sale and buying the SaaB. I know the Citation 500 will also become available in the future, but a turboprop suites my likes a better... I wonder if any of you who own the SaaB can comment on how it performs with the prop torque fix ? Have you opened it in Plane-Maker and saved, as recommended ( even if I don't really understand why... ) to get an aircraft model suited for the fix ? If you didn't go through this process, do you still notice any difference in performance in as far as torque and overall prop effects are concerned ? Thx …

Hello - I have been using FSX for years and finally decided to take the plunge and pick up X-Plane 10 during the Steam sale. I just noticed that the Drzewiecki Design X-Plane addons are on sale for 5 more hours at SimMarket. I was thinking of picking up New York Airports X and maybe New York City X for X-Plane. I have a couple of fairly good computers than run FSX very well for just about anything, even with PMDG, etc and tons of addon scenery. However, I also have the DD New York Addons above installed in FSX and they run terrible, I mean generally under 10 fps. Should I expect the performance of the X-plane version to be better? Hi, Is there a complete download for "HD Scenery Mesh v3" and "W2XP from SimHeaven"? Sometime like a torrent? Also I don't mean both addons together just a complete download of each addon. I've spent 3 hours installing HD Scenery Mesh v3 ( europe only ) and W2XP ( again only europe ) and now they're not working together properly. I'm asking this to avoid the unpleasant downloading again.

Hi everyone, I purchased this aircraft when it was was first released, then got the service pack. This aircraft for some reason, brings my system to its knees. I can use almost everything else out there without issue, nowhere near the performance hit. Dan was looking into his and never came back with an answer. ( He may have not found one? ) I can use all complex releases at complex airports out there, even with 4 K textures as I have a TitanX card.
