I tried searching on "cloud" but no result. I currently have SkyMAXX v3.0, and love it. However, I also regularly use the JAR A320 with the BSS sound pack (IMO the best sound pak in XP, and the JAR bird is also very nice). My issue is that these three products (JAR A320, BSS sound pak and SkyMAXX v3.0) do not seem to be compatible, resulting is a 3fps that occurs randomly when using a Mac. I don;t know that SkyMAXX is the issue, but from a thread at the .org is appears as though iit's a part of the issue (old be that the Mac is another piece of the problem too). I thought of uninstalling SkyMAXX and seeing how the A320/BSS works. I'm wondering if there are…

I found mine in the 'Promotions' section of gmail. Anyway, downloaded and all setup in a short time. The changelog looks good, esp. landing light illuminating clouds, it's a good effect. Don't take the FPS too seriously - using 2500K (not oc here) with GTX970. A small preview...

Hi, I decided to try xp-10 out and bought the global version. I am also an fsx user. My first impression is that the Cessna 172 flies well but the scenery is boring and lousy. I decided to shop around but the only scenery addons I found seem to be ones that have to be installed by the user manually. I'm used to buying a nice, dependable package such as FTX Global and using its installer. Are there any worldwide scenery packages that will improve the default scenery like FTX? I'd rather spend my time flying than studying how to install manual scenery and risking messing it up. I'm not too tech oriented. Thanks. Tom

Hi i know the simheaven website removed the ZL17 photoscneries due the cost of server etc..and its just ZL16 ... but i was wondering if anyone here by chance had those photoscenery as i really need them for Germany area EDDS or if can make torrent or upload them or something also i have a dedicated server if there is anyone who can upload i can provide him ftp access. any reply would be appreciated

Hello fellow simmers! As Im still getting accustomed to XP I haven't been able to sort out a good weather addon. I've tried the NOAA plugin which works nice but there is still a lack of smoothing when transitioning different weather systems. One second its overcast - a few seconds later it could update and then everywhere around you it became partially cloudy. Does XP have anything comparable to Active Sky for FSX/P3D? Is the NOAA plugin the only weather addon out there?

Hi, I'm experiencing an unusual FPS drops problem, i would like to confirm if it's a general problem or due to my configuration. - I open a specific location and plane, with weather disabled (to have always same conditions) and got about 55-60 fps. - Next, i just open "Rendering Settings" options, close it without modifying anything. Suddently FPS drops to 45 fps. Once performance drops happens, i must close X-Plane or restart the PC completely (sometimes closing X-Plane fixes the isssue, others no) to get 55 fps again. So... I spent four hours last night with this flight simulation 'hobby', and not a single bit of it was spent flying. As many of us do, I run multiple sims. Between my laptop that I use for development, and my desktop that I use for actually flying, I have a *lot* of various sims installed. Well, last week I chose to finally update P3D from 3.0 to 3.2, via a full uninstall / reinstall. That part was okay. Takes a bit to download, but easy enough. So I picked up X-plane awhile back but never really gave it a chance. Every now and then I see a video of it and think maybe I should give it a go. Yesterday was one of those times. For the most part I am a P3D v3 user and am really enjoying the experience, which has come a long way. However sometimes in P3D it doesn't actually feel like flying. Weather doesn't appear to affect any of the aircraft much unless it is in an extreme environment. When I see videos of X-Plane, the movement of the aircraft just seems more realistic so its peaking my interest again. I'm trying to add some military aircraft (I think it's part of the OpensceneryX library?). When I drop C-17s or F-15s or whatever, they start flying in the air instead of static on the ground. Is there a way to make them static or is it just inherent with some models are "alive" and fly?

Hi everyone, I have worked with British TV Producer Andy Webb to make a documentary for NBC called "Scary plane landings!" I have created footage using X-Plane and add-on aircraft either purchased or downloaded (with the permission of the authors, of course) that is used to "visualize" the landing mishaps. I downloaded and have been exploring the XPlane 10 demo for the last few weeks. as time permitted. I was convinced I need to purchase it so ordered the disks. They arrived today, so after deleting the demo, I installed the licensed version. When I got it up and running, I noticed that the 182RG that was included with the demo is not in the licensed package. I suspect, that had I not deleted the demo package before installing the new version, I could have just copied the RG a/c folder from the demo set-up to the licensed version. I'm just too efficient...aargh! :-) Is there another way to get this airplane without downloading the demo package and installing it …

Hi all, I've been running a 2500k, gtx 660ti and 8gb DDR3 1333 ram (with SSDs) for some time now. I would like better performance in XP10 so am about to buy the following: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/conure/saved/#view=7QjmP6 Does this look like a solid upgrade for XPlane 10? Will it allow me to up the settings a fair bit? I am guessing so as each component is much more powerful, but I don't want to buy it then be disappointed. Thanks in advance
