Hello and HELP! I have the Saitek X55 Throttles and Yoke, as well as the Saitek Multi-Panel, Saitek Switch Panel and the Saitek Radio panel, connected. I have both P3D with the PMDG737NGX and X-Plane10 with the IXEG 737 Classic installed and both simulators work extremely well. However, the Saitek X55 system works fine with the P3D setup, but not with the X-Plane10 setup, as described below:- I am having a problem getting the IXEG737's simulated Throttles to respond with the movement on the Saitek X55 Throttles. Good day, I have been using X-plane for a month now and I really like it, but when I turned on my PC today and booted up X-Plane. What I saw instantly is that the texts and menus looked like they had a really low resolution... When the sim loaded everything looked fuzzy and i got a headache of it! Is this a common problem? The org store is having a 4th of July sale, and the Rotatesim MD-80 is now $45. Since this is the first time I've seen this go on special, I'm just wondering what's the progress on patches given the criticism from Froogle's video from a while ago. System wise how do you compare it with the IXEG 737, and the Leonardo Maddog? Also is it polished or buggy?

I'm having an absolute ball in XP10 but the only thing slightly spoiling the show, is that the sim is taking a very long time to load. I'm talking about up to 15 minutes each time I start X-Plane. I do have a lot of scenery installed in the custom scenery library including photo scenery and HD mesh. Would these be the cause of the very long loading times? Should I be deactivating large scenery files such as photo scenery for HD mesh that I'm not using in a given flight? Any other tips at all to reduce load times would be gratefully received. Thanks.

Hi Folks - I know i read something about this a while back but can't remember where. Seeing that the 787 is on sale for $17 at the X-Aviation store, I was thinking about picking it up. I am still mostly FSX and P3D so I don't have much for X-Plane, but can anyone recommend this plane? Also, I can't quite tell if there is an FMC included (even if it is a light version like the one for the Aerosim model for fsx) since it refers to the X-FMC addon which I would not want to purchase just for this aircraft. I've purchased XP on Steam today - I'm hoping to short-cut the learning curve as much as possible and just get flying. I recently put P3D on a new PC, the same one I'll be using for XP, and went for a fairly minimalist install. FTX global/England/Socal – a few high end aircraft, A2A/Realair, some Caranado, and some retro jets Milviz and Capt sim. A couple of must have add-ons, ASN, EZDOC, If someone could give some pointers of the best way forward – freeware or payware, to get to a similar position on XP, I appreciate that. There's quite a few YouTube tutorials on the web, which is great – any recommendations of the best ones for a noob? The pinned topics on AVS…

According to their facebook page, the new upgrade is out and I'm downloading from the Org Store now! If you don't know what REP is, it's an acronym for Reality Expansion Pack and it improves the realism on the aircraft that it's been designed for. It's a fantastic product and turns the Carenado planes (mediocre in terms of fidelity completeness) into high fidelity beasties . It's changed my flying for the better (made me a better pilot) and is hugely satisfying; once you go REP you can never go back lol. Hi everyone, I have an iPad mini that has become surplus to my other uses, and it's now available for use with XP. I see reference to an "AirFMC" app that I need to get, I assume I need this if I was to put the IXEG FMC onto the I-Pad? And is putting the IXEF FMC (or any other part of the cockpit electronics) possible onto an iPad? I looked at the IXEG forum but couldn't clearly figure this out. Thanks- Bruce.

Hi everyone, I applied the 10.50 B4 to my extra copy of X-plane. I notice immediately the performance is not anywhere as good as in 10.45. I've been busy as of lately with real world stuff so haven't been able to keep up as much. I want to move forward as I've always have once this is solid, but I am hesitant now due to the FPS hit. I get almost 20 frames or more less with this version and unacceptable stuttering. I'm on an i7 @4.4ghz 16 gigs @ddr2300 ram. Nvidia TitanX 12 gig card and Windows7. Also use a high end 27" ASUS GSync Gaming monitor. I am very pleased with my performance in 10.45. I average about 40 to 60FPS in most cases depending on scenery and airc…

As I try xplane, I am still puzzled about many of its features. So, here's one case. I set it up so that I get 20 fps. I fly and the frame rates remain steady. I land at the same airport and shut down the program. Next time I start it, the frame rate is at 10fps. I am puzzled and the only thing I can think of is that my cpu is not going into turbo mode, thus the low frames. Even when I go flying, nothing happens. tony

I'm slowly moving to XP for my heavy metal flying as I'm tired of FSX's issues. The question is though which plane should I pick up. I currently have the Rotate Sim MD-80 so Im not sure I need anot her short haul plane but the 737 looks so good. It basically comes down to this 1.which plane is more graphicly pleasing 2.which has better systems. 3.which is easier on frames. Thoughts?

Hey all I have my goflight TQ6 setup and working fine save for one small issue. For some reason I can't get the flaps to go all the way down and in the case of the Igex 737 all the way up aswell(they stay at 1 till I click them up) I've calibrated the controls but it didn't fix anything.

I'm looking for a GPS + Moving map for X-Plane. Not an Ipad app though. Something i can download to Windows and drag to another screen, I had the apollo Map 2 years ago but its not supported anymore and now works terrible with X-Plane. Is there anything out there like the GTN 750 or Reality XP or the Mindstar Aviation for X-Plane 10 ? Thank you :smile:

Hi all, Can anyone advise whether it's safe in XP10 to remove the default aircraft from the aircraft folder? Just really wanting to do a little house cleaning, so that the default a/c (which I never use) aren't listed in the aircraft selection screen ..... but worried that the assets are somehow used elsewhere and it'd cause problems? thanks.

So I downloaded W2XP America from SimHeaven to get some more variety of the autogen etc. Unfortunately after all these years of development, it still has the same problem with trees. The coverage is way too dense, and they cover airports and runways. Is there any way to just pull out the trees from the scenery package, since I only really need the custom buildings? I'm not sure how to generate scenery on my own. Numerous times, I've tried to find guides, but they're either outdated or the links are invalid. If anyone has a good guide (including how to actually get the OSM data for North America), that would be helpful too.

Always nice when plane get some real following by their developers. Before you ask, this is not a "study" sim (whatever that means), but it has the right level of complexity and graphical gorgeousness for me to enjoy, and a very nice and predictible flight model. Hi all, I´m using X-Life and World Traffic for AI traffic (both latest versions), with the great Bluebell XL aircraft models, and I´ve noticed that never I´ve seen the classic smoke puff on thouch down when landing. I know this fx is related to cloud textures, and I´ve increased the number of puffs to 100% but still no smoke. For textures, I use Skymaxx 3.2 with Weather Connector. I´ve checked every .obj of the Bluebell aircraft models, and they show the smoke lines, so they should show the puffs on t/d. As an real life avid aircraft spotter, I really miss the effect on XP. No puffs on 10.45 and also not in 10.50 b4. All effects, all details, all scenery at maxiu…

Good day, I recently got X-Plane and I really like the view system, however when I am looking around in the VC i tend to click the right mouse button a lot. X-Plane sometimes recognizes as if it was a double click, is there a way to disable the double click function? Thanks, Bart

I've still got 2 broken plugins in B4, supposedly Ben fixed it but X-plane will crash. If I have either DataRefTool or Dafsim plugins loaded it won't make it past the loading screen. Plugin behaviour wasn't supposed to be impacted in 10.5 Going to roll back to 10.45. On that note I see lots of people copying their whole XPX directory to check the beta, why not just uncheck the beta box in the installer and it will redownload the 10.45 files? Uses a lot less HD space that way.

How does one go about installing a gps that's readable. In trying to get used to a region and its airports, I find a gps indispensable rather than charts on my desk. I am flying the freeware dc9 without a gps, and the payware emb 120 with a gps so small in the VC that's practically unusable unless I zoom it way up, which then makes the rest of the panel unusable. Unlike fsx, I find the airports in xplane difficult to spot from a distance, even a short distance. tony

I was watching a video of the Flightsimcon and toward the end they showed the new rendering engine all I can say is wow,I hope this comes out soon.
