(Edit: I meant 1070 in the title!) Hey, Just wondering if anyone has made this change? I'm generally still very happy with my 970 but I do sometimes find myself at the texture size limit. Has anyone made this change, and was it worth it? (I'm running at 1080p but will likely get a new monitor eventually to run at a higher res - not 4k though, so I don't think the 1080 is worth the price for me!)

These are not beauty pics, they're strictly functional for showing frame-rates over a large city, (New York) which stayed locked at 30 with Vsync on and between 30 and 45 with it off. Frames tended to dip while taking screenshots. Cutting to the chase, it seems this tech combo does really well with X-plane! Its hard to Imagine wanting much more.........

I'm really getting into X-Plane, particularly with the IXEG 737 and starting to fine tune x-plane visually. I downloaded the Lua files and RTH scripts and installed to the folders as outlined, my problem is I don't get the menu tab for settings showing on the left of the screen to allow adjustments. Is there something in the plugins menu I need to enable to get it to show? Any help appreciated.

Hi everyone, I've played with flight sims and had a few lessons over the years but never had the time to get particularly serious about it. I'm currently changing jobs and have three weeks off, so thought I'd spend some time learning as much as possible. Ideally I'd let to end up confidently flying complex jets like the FF767, ixeg 737 and Saab 340 IFR on Vatsim. Hello all, I am following the Flyaoamedia tutorials from start to finish as I'd like to have a thorough grasp of aviation before I start on the IXEG properly. Right now I am learning in the AirFoil Labs c172, and I think (though may be wrong?) it would be good practice to start on a larger twin engine prop and getting some hours before moving to the IXEG? Is this correct? If so, I've seen a lot of good feedback for the SAAB 340, is this a realistic aircraft as a intermediate plane between the Cessna and the 73? Or should it be something smaller / a smaller jet aircraft? I only really like using things that are as close to the real world as possible so I th…

Hello Guys, I am happy flightsimmer, who use P3D and X-Plane regularly (both sims have pros and cons, we all know that). I started using X-Plane about 3 months ago, when IXEG 737 came out and I absolutely love it. However, by now I only use IXEG in X-Plane and would like to buy some new aircrafts for this platfom to diversify my flightsim experience . On P3D I mainly fly on PMDG 737 & 777, majestic dash q400 and Aerosoft Airbus A320 (sometimes). Those aircrafts don't have any real competition in X-Plane I assume. Hi,Just wondering if someone would be willing to be partner in the development of a 3D cockpit using this configuration? This picture is an actual (half size) X-Plane 9 screen capture of a 2D panel I did in Photoshop (from 3D render model made in cinema 4D). I have all textures in HR. My panel fits 2048 x 1200 pixels screen. I proposed this project to Austin but he said he was satisfied with the model within X-Plane. I retract flaps and accelerate to 250 KIAS, then engage the AP with IAS-Hold. I get around 2,000 fpm in the climb up at red-line on the thrust, but above 10,000 feet the performance of the engines begins to drop off (as expected) and ROC falls eventually to around 1,000 (or less) fpm. I know that payload and fuel is a factor, but is 2,000 fpm at 250 KIAS usually unachievable with the 727 at higher altitudes? Increasing thrust usually results in the proverbial fire alarm in engines #1 and 3. Thanks, Bruce.

I just installed World Traffic plugin. It came with many airports from Europe but not many from the West. I tried to add KSFO but getting a KSFO_Random item to show up in the 'enable region' list. And it would never load any aircraft when I clicked on 'sync'. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. The KSEA airport works fine. But it came already installed.

Whenever I download new tiles from the X-Plane servers, using the installer / updater, I do it from a PC with a better connection to the internet than the one I have at home. But what folders should I bring home afterwards and drop on my X-plane 10 install there in order to get the Global Scenery updated with this new tiles ? Thanks for any hints!

Recently installed Xplane 10 and have noticed that the winds aloft have disappeared, above 5000 ft the winds go to 0. Is anyone else having this problem?

I run xpx with nill autogen / trees / roads / cars... Unfortunately this also clears the buildings and main scenery features from view, unlike in msfs and derivates where we have two separate settings one for autogen and other for scenery complexity. When in msfs I make autogen NILL, but I set scenery complexity full righ ( ultra, if I'm not wrong ) I still get detailed airport buldings & structures as well as main landmark structures in the scenery. This would be great to have in XpX...

This has been an annoying problem and I would hope by now that they've fixed this. When flying at night from high above, you can easily see the runway lights of every airport in the vicinity. It's annoying. Is there a way to fix just the airport lighting without messing with the others?

Seeing the New York XP secenery is truly breathtaking, probably the best scenery I've ever seen in a flight sim. I hope DD will make a Hong Kong XP and other major cities around the world, such as Seoul, Tokyo, Ho Chi Minh City, etc. We need more Asian scenery!
