July 6, 20169 yr Landing the rotate MD80 doesn't seem right. I always need to add 10 knots or more to Vref to get a normal pitch and when you flare and gently bring the throttles back it just falls out of the sky instead of any ground effect and flare. Maybe it's my landing technique. The plane looks fantastic, though.
July 6, 20169 yr I was about to ask something similar, I want to take advantage of the sale too but I'm debating between the MD-80 and the Tu-154, I'm more inclined to the Tupolev but I don't know how difficult the systems are. I would absolutely go for the Tupolev. However it's more difficult to get into. It flies really nice though. It's really good! July 6, 20169 yr The aircraft feels quite unstable when hand flown, when compared to the IXEG or any complex FSX airliners. It has that yo-yo effect which makes it difficult to trim and fly with precision. I agree, I found it a bit light on the pitch axis. I adjusted X-Plane's artificial stability for the pitch axis only, and it feels pretty good now.
