I don't hear the ATC chatter when I let AI fly in VR. Why? Thanks

Tomorrow at the expo in Las Vegas, Laminar Research (Austin) are hopefully going to give a talk and show off/discuss Vulkan. Fingers crossed that this is going to be as hyped as many people think it will be, and we'll see some good improvements in performance and smoothness. Even if it still is early days. Besides that, we also have demos from ORBX with their increasing X-Plane catalogue, and perhaps PMDG will surprise us 🙂 P.S. If anyone is going, please take pictures and report

Just installed a plain vanilla install of XP11. So far so good but two main issues 1) TrackIR works but it is really flaky 2) Cannot find a way to map a keystroke to a joystick button. Any hints? Thanx, Vic

Is there any way to increase the brightness and bloom of just the street lighting without it effecting the lights in the cockpit etc?

Hi Flyers, Using the latest beta, all working perfectly, then just now I notice I have no lights at night in any location (city lights, street and house lighting etc) Airports have night lighting but nothing else.. No files or add-ons have changed and it all worked this morning! I've rebooted, gone back to the X-Plane default lights, nothing seems to work? I've deleted preferences, removed the latest plugins but no change.... Any tips or help greatly appreciated!

Hey folks, I'm just getting into XP and building ortho tiles. I have installed HD scenery V4 and X-Europe V2, but not sure which folder to select for the overlays. I'm looking at building a fair portion of the UK and parts of the Med, do I select the v4 folder or which one of the 3 X-Europe folders for the overlays? Any help will be greatly appreciated

I downloaded the latest driver suite, with no 'clean content' so all my settings wouldn't be lost. I had with the last set, about 25-30 FPS up and down, but with this latest set, on the same route, and with the same cloud density, I am pretty much staying at 29-30 FPS (locked at 30). Great clearness, no stutter, and now sitting pretty much at a constant locked 30 FPS across the board. All in all, with XP11.21 and this latest drivers set, the best performance ever! I'm running XP:21 at pretty much max settings, over Ortho4XP with all features on, and Enviro 1.6. Very happy all around! On Windows 7 64 bit with X plane 11 I loaded and flew Carendo's B200 with no problem. After upgrading to Win 10 64 bit and reloading the plane, the activation request box will not load to allow me to put the activation key into the system. When the plane is loaded a mechanic is under the plane and no functions are available. I'm stumped, any ideas?

I have P3DV4.2 and love my aircraft add-ons I have for it, but also having Xplane11 with its new Aerolight 103 ultralight, my Aerobask Eclipse, the C74 Velocity (http://www.c74.net/xplane/_a_Velocity_XL.html) ..... .....And all the Ortho scenery I have added using USA_2 as my source. I just prefer flying Xplane11 a lot more, it seems less buggy, seems more realistic in flight dynamics, atmospherics, autogen, mesh and so on. It is portable, easy to place on any hard drive I want. Hi guys, Just tried to download the latest update and got this error......5:20001...contact support. I'm pretty sure its related to a las vegas airport that i downloaded, killed, and then downloaded again. Would it be best just to hose the entire xplane installation and start fresh? I don't have any addons other than data from navigraph.

Hello everyone, Suddenly my mouse pointer disappeares when in vr mode. This did not happen before. After last update 2 days ago there is no pointer whatever I try. Marking the VR mouse box does not do anything. Any thoughts? Thanks!!! Jozeff

When using X-Plane 11 ATC, it directs me to one takeoff point but the WT3 AI traffic is always moving in the opposite direction, how can I resolve this problem

Hi Quickie: I think I'm having trouble with my speed brakes. I can see that key 3 retracts them, and 4 extends them, however I'm having trouble finding out how to arm them for landing. I read somewhere that you simply have to retract them to full (on approach) and that will do it. I tried that, and landed no problem, but when I ran it back on the REPLAY mode, it didn't show that the speed brakes were extended on touchdown. Is there something I'm missing? Thanks, Gaz

I have lost access to the bar along the top of the monitor that enables me to close Xplane 11 properly or access the other functions such as flight configuration or exit. The menu icons do not show but frame rate panel still appears. I have to close down by using crl+alt+delete and open up by clicking on the application link in the folder. The short cut does not show up on the windows 10 desktop. Help would be much appreciated.

..just updated XP11 & for some reason, when on Full Screen mode, the mouse pointer disappear, though I can tell the mouse is active but not visual. switching to Win Mode and all is well. Weird Any thought how to bring it back ??? Cheers Yair .

I'm relatively new to XP11 and some things are quite different than FSX/P3D. Is there a trick to re-installing a Carenado T210? I'm trying to fix a REP problem and having re-downloading the aircraft, I first simply deleted the existing Carenado T210 folder in Aircraft - Carenado and simply replaced same with the new download. I now receive nothing but XP 11 crashes when trying to launch with the T210. Is there a specific method to accomplish this?

Much as I appreciate the 'Fly with Lua' forum on .org, answers to my questions assume that I understand 'Lua'. I've been trying to install a 'rendering' software and don't know if I've accomplished anything. Forkboy's version is the simplest - a straight Lua script file (Notepad) placed directly in Plugins/FlywithLua/Scripts. I edit the Notepad to the values I want then 'save' and that's it from me. Is there more?

I updated to 11:21, and now, every time I shut down...there is this box with text...that flashes off, so fast that I can't even read it...but I think..it says something about European Law.... Does anybody know what this closing box of text is?!?!?!?

Hi! So I decided to write this post to those who might be struggeling with what apparently was low fps. This might be for a few only since this is a result of my own stupidity and/or neglegance. I've been a XP10 user for roughly one year and I've always been content with the fps I was achieving. Its always been hovering somewhere between 25-35 depending on what ac I loaded up and the current weather. I've never given it much thought because I thought this was where the fps should be considering the complexity of ac's, addons and such.
