Quick question. Is it possible to simply move the x-plane installation folder? Note that I haven't installed any addons or anything like that yet. When I installed it, it defaulted to an x-plane folder on my desktop, and I didn't make any change. However, my C-drive (SSD) is getting quite full, and I want to move it to the empty D-drive (HDD). I'm hoping it will just need a move and not a reinstall or anything like that. (I'm hoping it won't make it slower, either, to be honest.) Thanks, Gaz

Hi I'm completely baffled by this. I've been using XPlane all day, training. There have been no problems with the plane (default 737) until now. Now I can't get it to stop pouring out smoke from the back of both engines. Of course, when I come in the land, and reverse the thrust it shoots it up in front of me! I have made no changes, I can't understand that, even after I restarted the program, I am getting this smoke: https://photos.app.goo.gl/LRvu9jZ4XKKv0Ntz1 BTW, I have noticed that it doesn't occur when I taxi to the runway at the start of the simulation - it is literally after takeoff. Hi I only just started using xplane now, and there's stuff on there I love. I'd like to ask a question about view settings. The URL below shows someone moving around their aircraft smoothly, especially the cockpit. Also, he shows that he can see the aircraft from outside and circle around the plane with it in the middle of the screen (in fsx, I remember using my joystick hat to do that). Can someone give me guidance on this? Do I need to buy software to move around, and look around smoothly? The shift+1-9 keys don't seem to be able to do this. Thanks, Gaz

Hi Guys I am just getting into native VR on X Plane 11 with Oculus Rift. In terms of set-up, what are you using? I have all sliders to far left and performance is passable, with the odd jitter. I can get about 60 FPS in non-VR no problem like this. I have seen YouTube videos that talk about Oculus Tray Tool, adding LUA scripts etc. My question is, should I bother with this? Isn't ASW 45 fps etc. built in? Why would I have to set this externally. I remember FlyInside had this as standard when I flew VR on P3D. Surely with X-Plane 11 native VR I should be able to use it straight out of the box. I have CPU - i7-6700K and GPU GTX 970. Thanks in advanc…

Hello Avsim friends, I have the MCP, EFIS from Virtual Avionics all working great in p3dv4! But........I’m new on Xplane 11 and unable to get the hardware modules (MCP and EFIS) working. Do the modules work with the Xplane 11 (with the default planes)? My root cause and actions to try to solve the non functioning hardware: The icon of VA modules is green, the MCP is showing 0 signs in the displays but they do not interact with the simulator at all. What am I missing? Choosing a different profile in the configurator does not help. I purchased X-Plane 11 just because I like what I've seen with the graphics in pics and video but for the life of me, I can't takeoff or land without the aircraft skidding across the runway. Having flown small aircraft in real life, I have never had anything remotely close to what X-Plane 11 simulates. I have adjusted my Saitek control sensitivity but the aircraft are completely uncontrollable on the ground during takeoff roll and landing. I'd like to give X-Plane 11 a fair shake but I'm very disappointed in the unrealistic ground handling. Any suggestions?

Is there a list to all of the US based major airports that are freeware and payware? I am a P3D guy now but am interested in X-Plane and wanted to see what US detailed airports are available and how much it would cost me. Since I already have a significant investment in P3d, I want to see how expensive it would be if I were to start using Xplane but have it to my liking.

Hi Everyone. I am still relatively new to X-Plane, having migrated from FSX. The default Boeing 747 in the simulator is a lovely aircraft, but proves to be difficult when it comes to ILS approaches. Most of the time the approach button on the autopilot does not light up, but it lights up the LOC button. The red dot indicating the glideslope some times kick in but at other times is absent when I am lined up with the runway. I am just curious about Ortho4xp and was wondering approximately how long would it take and how much storage would I need to cover the entire US? I’m starting to learn a little more about xplane and am intrigued by this scenery. However something tells me I’d need crazy amo7nts of storage to cover the US. Thanks

I'm getting this error in the top left after i save a saved situation.. Cannot open resources/plugins/flywithlua/internals/flywithlua.ini no such file or directory The file exists.. i do not get this error with launching a fresh instance of xp11.. i do get it every time you try to go to a new flight configuration after loading the saved .sit file. I'm using the latest flywithlua complete.. this is on a bare bones install of xp11, no other plugins.. Does anyone know what could be going on, or do we just need to wait for a new version of the "complete" edition.. can anyone replicate.. ? Hello, I am really thinking about buying XP11 and the FF A320. I have a few questions though... Can you save or does there already exist a "turnaround" state for the FF A320? Everything I've seen on YT always goes from cold and dark. And probably my biggest question...the weather in XP. Is there anything, payware or freeware, that gets rid of sudden weather changes? I've seen posts where some say this add on or that add on does remove the sudden changes and others where they say we are still stuck with sudden changes. I would make use of Ortho4XP too. I have XPlane 11 installed from DVD. The install generates a shortcut on the desktop. I accidentally deleted it from the desktop. It is not in the recycle bin. So I can't restore it. What do I have to do to generate another desktop shortcut? I can run XPlane 11 from the DVD. But its easier from the shortcut. Thank You. Bill McCracken

I think it is worth mentioning an ongoing kickstarter campaign by "Godzone" which is very well known for creating superb high quality scenery for New Zealand. Now so far, all releases were FSX/P3D only, but, this is due to change in the future as Robin Corn, Godzone scenery developer, intends to also release his sceneries for XPlane 11, Aerofly, etc... Now as so very often - and especially in the beginning - changing a business-model may require some financial support, especially within a niche market such as flightsim is. Hello, I bought a digital download from http://www.x-plane.com/desktop/buy-it/, installed it and went to https://forums.x-plane.org to register an account. The access there is not granted right away so I'm visiting their forums as a guest. Unfortunately I can't post there and neither am I able to download any useful and necessary files from their site. Four days have passed and no response so far. I've sent 2 messages from their contacts page to no avail. Is there any other resource where I can find FP11 libraries, plugins etc.? Is it normal to wait for the approval like in my case? And what is their approval process if you know about it? Thanks,
