Since I brought this theme at another thread which is dedicated to the FF vs FSL Airbus comparison and it doesn't belong there, I decided to open this new thread... I usually run P3D or XP11 at the minimum possible scenery settings, no autogen or trees in P3D, scenery # of objects to the lowest in XP11. In P3D the effect is acceptable since it doesn't kill the buildings / gates at the ( default ) airports, while in XP while on ground I have to increase the scenery complexity to the least required to get buildings... But, how do I get jetways when my aircraft is placed at a gate ? And how do I get a pushback tug in XP11 ? If the default doesn't support this,…

If any developer is looking for a airliner to develop for X-Plane 11 that hasn't been done yet, how about the Fairchild-Hiller FH-227B ?, it was very popular with regional airlines in the US from the 60's to the 90's, notable for it's high wing with good window views, and those RR Dart engines just screamed.

I'm having a hard time tracking down a solution for a 4 drive hardware raid solution for my setup. I want something that will at least give me the throughput of a single 7200 rpm sata III drive, but hopefully with added speed and fault tolerance of raid5, granted hopefully with raid5 performance increases, but i think this may depend on the interface speed. This ultimately will be to host about 12TB of storage for Ortho4xp for XP11.. currently just on a single 8TB drive that is 7200. I have just started using Ortho4xp, and on the few tiles in southern England I have done, the results are very good (around EGKA, Shoreham, my home field). I am now extending the coverage to the rest of the UK, but now, today, ortho4xp will not get far along its first process, and stops at: obtaining osm data for way ["natural"="water"] ["tidal"!="yes"] Done. At this point nothing more happens. What have I done? I have re installed ortho4xp but still the same thing happens. Yesterday I built at least 15 tiles around the world, no problems, but not today! Any help appreciated, and thanks.

The censored discussion going on in "Questions" at the X-Plane forum is about the comical erratic ground handling of all Taildraggers including the simulator's own Stinson, exacerbated and essentially becoming unuseable in even mild crosswinds. Certainly worthless for anybody attempting to learn or maintain taildragger skills and proficiency. I am considering purchasing X-Plane and would like to try the demo first. How much drive space will the demo consume? Is the demo a fairly accurate measure of performance? Just trying to find out how to install gtn 750 in panel Xplane 11. Seems i come up short or am missing something.

I am sure there is other threads here describing this, but I have failed to find them. What I would like to do is move my Reality XP GNS530 WAAS V2 from one PC to another. I keep seeing comments on how easy it is to do, but can't find the right program links or blow by blow instructions on exactly what to do complete with working links to the required software. Hi Guys I've been trying to get my head around the X-Plane B737 over the past few days and I don't understand the VOR navigation model. I've spent countless hours in this aircraft in FSX so I thought I'd be able to pick it up fairly quickly. I thought that if you selected a valid in range VOR frequency in the active NAV radio panel and then clicked the VOR1 switch in the eyebrow panel (left of the autopilot settings panel) then the VOR ident and range would appear at the bottom left of the right hand MFD. No matter what I do, the VOR ident and range just appear as dashes on the MFD so I can't use VOR or ILS to navigate. I've seen videos on YouTube where thi…

Well, I'm at the end of my tether with P3d. I'm so tired of blurries and delayed texture loading that I'm checking out XP11. Today I downloaded and installed the demo version, just to ensure all my hardware and panels will work properly. However, despite that the Warthog throttle is recognised as being one of the popular throttles, I can't for the life of me get it to work properly. I've configured my PFC yoke and Saitek pedals, but when I try to configure the Warthog throttle, which incidentally appears to do it successfully, and I go to the VC, the throttle moves and starts jumping all over the place. I will be purchasing X-Plane and would appreciate any comments as to whether it is best to order the DVD's or purchase the download version (I do have a pretty fast internet connection - 100mbps). My query mostly pertains to whether it is necessary / desirable to maintain a "back-up" of the program and if so which format is the easiest / most preferable to do so. Thank you very much.

Hello there, suddenly when opening Xplane after everything going fine till now, I receive a message to active my copy or using demo version. I don't know what happened for needing to enter it again buy after it, I receive a message that there was a problem validating my copy and my key is blocked so I should try again or contact support. Does anyone know about this? My copy was bought months ago and never had problems. This makes me angry. Thanks very much.

hello. I recently installed Simheaven X-Europe, found out that buildings in and near my local town looked like crap (they looked like default fsx level), then I uninstalled it, and now autogen is gone entirely and I don't know what I've done wrong. I'm trying to reinstall X-Europe as we speak but I doubt that it will change anything. changing the order of the scenery_packs.ini didn't work so I think there's an issue with the default scenery. Any way I can replace those with the default ones in case they have somehow been edited? the X-Plane installer didn't notice them when I reinstalled (ran the updater), sadly. Hello all, this is my first post. I am new to flight simulation and have yet to even receive my computer and components (yes, that new). I am a pilot working towards part 91 or part 121 operations. I would like to train and eventually have my students train on my simulator. I have the Saitek yoke, throttle quadrant, and rudder pedals. I am curious how well the other Saitek components work and which ones would take out some of the hassle of using the simulator. I want to have some insight on what my next component should be (maybe the multi panel or switch panel) to make the simulator easier to use and more realistic. Since the Xplane 11.10 update and continuing in the 11.11 update my networked system has not functioned properly. Basically, without the intervention described below, the slave system does not receive the data sent by the master. The master system is an I7 running Win7 and is used to display the default C172 3-D cockpit view zoomed and moved to display just the panel. The slave machine is an I7 running Win7 with a GTX1070 driving 3 monitors for external scenery view. The X-plane systems have identical resources. There are no firewalls and no antivirus. System File Checker has found no Windows file integrity problems. The system is not overclocked. …
