X-Plane 11 default cloud improved a lot from Beta days. There is less of a need for a plugin like xEnviro

HI there Learning to fly Twin Otter. This has Throttle levers and Prop levers. What is the deal? On take off flat out both? In cruise, back off both or only one? Descent use both or only one? Any help appreciated. Thx Phil

To get to the point, I have just bought this and the download size became my first worry cos I live in the Third World and to download a package in excess of even 1GB can be a miracle unless you can return to your download at the point it is interrupted and not start again from scratch. As I type now Im on UPS cos my download has been interrupted after 1.8GB. Can I be helped?

Just letting you know: Another batch of FF A320 beta keys has been put up at the org. No requirements this time. I got one myself a couple of minutes ago, but I don't know how much longer this batch will last. Final release is expected within the next month or so according to the devs.

Just got the GTN 750 for XP11 and having some issues............. Firstly for the compatible aircraft it was showing the 750 in the pop up but not in the virtual cockpit (seems this requires some re-writing of .ini files) for these aircraft........ Second problem I have is its not wanting to display any traffic (alerts) - using it with world traffic 3 so I can see lots of traffic but nothing on the display.

According to this article. I loaded it up and started the engines. Didn't have time to fly, but seems legit.

Is anyone having issues running ortho4xp ver 1.20 . I get a hang up on step 2 "no elevation file found I download it from viewfinderpanorama " and it hangs up there forever. All antivirus shut off and firewalls which I hate doing since there was no issue before in win 7.I ran it a couple weeks ago and it ran slow but worked, Tried bing and usa tiles but same.

Hi there, Anyone using Airport Navigator on a MAC with mini keyboard. All the commands look to be for a Windows type keyboard with numpad. I don't have a numpad, and although can get some to work I struggle with zoom in and zoom out. Anyone any ideas??? Rgds Phil

Just upgraded to Samsung 40" 4K TV, and for some reason XP is not detecting the 5" LCD 800x480 display that I'm using for my GPS, I had no issues with my previous 1080x1920 Plasma TV before Any ideas/ thoughts Tnx Yair

Hi Everyone, I'm new to X-Plane. I live in Invercargill so would love to use the Invercargill Airport (NZNV) as much as I can.The issue I have is ATC keeps making me use the wrong runway, I've tried a 3rd party ATC and it does the same. For some reason ATC insists I use a grass runway, even in an ATR-72. I figured an easy way to fix this would be to delete the grass runways in WED, but anytime I import NZNV from apt.dat in either the default or custom scenery folders, it imports the runways, taxiways and traffic flow info, but no buildings. If I edit this and save it, The runways are correct, but the entire terminal building is missing. What am I doing wrong?…

Has anybody been able to register for the gateway and upload new scenery? I have a just completed version of KVYS with ground traffic and really nice AI traffic that works - :) - but can't get registered to upload and haven't been able to for a few days? Any Ideas?

Help please. I am new to xplane 11 & i have bought a hotas warthog joystick & throttle. I have calibrated it many times & no matter what i do it will veer to the left strongly on take off. The bigger jets are even worse & uncontrollable even using yaw. thanks in advance.

My X-plane 11 has just started not allowing me to save a situation prior to shutting down. The situation folder in the output folder on the desktop says it is a "READ ONLY" file (Filled in black square) Tried to remove this to a black box but the system seems to replace the read only square, thus blocking the situation from being saved. As I am writing this, I get a couple of notification messages from window 10 that windows defender has blocked access to ch1anges in x-plane. Also for the past week or so I have been getting those annoying fake messages that tells you your computer is infected and to call this 800 number to resolve it. Nothing shows up on rap…

I just updated to XP11.10, and was looking forward to the improved London landmarks (since the lack of city landmarks has been a big gripe of mine with the scenery). Unfortunately, I had already added several freeware London sceneries, in bits and pieces, and the whole resulting jumble of sceneries was a bit of a mess, with lots of amateurish looking buildings, things floating in mid-air, etc.. I decided to go back to my scenery_packs file, and disable everything that looked like it could be a custom add-on. For the past month or two I've been getting horrid lag spikes when flying. If I'm panning the camera around my plane my sim will just pause for 2-4 seconds at a time. GPUz shows memory around 3.5GB (I've got a GTX 970 with the memory bug - so 3.5 of full speed and 4GB total). The GPU load is around 60-70% Windows task manager shows physical memory around 7 - 7.5GB. I've only got 8 (8175 MB to be exact). It lists available in MB at roughly 200-400 as I fly, and Free at 0. The CPU cores on my 2500K are about 90 / 60 /70 /60 for percent usage per core. In the sim displaying frame time.... the cpu and gpu numbers fluctuate often... especially when the lag hap…

Was just flying at night and the lights still pop in and load only at a close range (10 miles or so)... what gives,this was my one issue with XP10

An information item for those who previously purchased the DHC6 version 1, there is a 50% discount toward the purchase of Version 2 released a few days ago. Unless I missed it, that discount is not widely advertised. I purchased my original version from X-plane.org where I found the rebate code on my original invoice. JJ

Running the steam version of XP11 - and want to give the VR a try on my rift - but I want to keep my 2d version of XP11 untouched - has anyone managed to install 2 versions via the steam one 2d and one that includes the VR beta - if yes how did you do it?
