  1. Started by airernie,

The situation is that I have a Saitek switch Panel. I have been using SPAD with it for several years without issue. Within the past month or so, all of my aircraft have stopped responding to the BAT switch, although they work fine with the ALT switch. Now, it might be simple enough to declare the BAT switch faulty, but if I use the Saitek FSX plug-ins, the BAT switch works perfectly. SPAD does display the toggle action in the setup graphic, so it does recognize the presence of the switch. It, or something, just refuses to process the toggle. So, I'm left with the question of why, despite having reinstalled SPAD, both versions 0.5.0 and 0.5.1 and doing a cl…

Hello, I am in need of a new Saitek Throttle quad (USB) since my 2 year is worn. Is the new Logitec/Saitek H/W any better than the old one since Logitec has taken over Saitek????? I need to replace the quad that ships with the Yoke package, the yoke is still OK, Am I right to assume that a single USB quad would also work in this scenario??? Thanks fellows.

Hi--at present I have a big tabletop where my yoke, throttles, and trim wheel are "bolted" to the table in front of my monitors. Off to one side I also have an old CH throttle quadrant on top of the table. It's used strictly for its switches--none of the six levers are used. The switches are for flaps, gear, barometer, autopilot, battery, and other common tasks. I really don't like the looks of it and would appreciate suggestions for better looking hardware to use for the switches. I'm not adverse to building a box to put them in and bolting the box either to the top of the table or underneath it. At present the CH has 12 usable switches and I'd like to keep that nu…

My friend has a Saitek AP panel box that he uses on FSX and it works perfectly, but it will not work when he brings up his FSX-Steam version; it does not even light up. I tried using the Saitek disk that came with the addon box and when I try to install the driver, I get a message that says "Incompatable." and it will not install. What can we do so the AP function box will work in Steam. I am open to any ideas. Please help. Thank you Jim K

  10. So I finally got the MCP from Opencockpits (v3, no box, Honeywell with backlight). I thought that this 'Plug and Play' product would be that, more or less. 3 hrs in, still scratching my head. This is for use with PMDG NGX in FSX. I understand that I need the connecting interface, SIOC, by the manufacturer, but there's another plugin required in order for it to communicate with PMDG. And this far I've only found this thing called OC4BA. The software is roughly 50€!!! I'm not in the financial mood to spend that at the moment.. There's a freeware version, but it is said not to work with the latest version of NGX. If anyone here use these products together,…

Hi all, Upon installing the Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals cause screen stutters and slow the system down. Terrain looks much more blurred than without them. Is this a known problem? Any solution? Very annoying. I disconnected them and stutters, blurries dissapeared but I would like to use rudder peddals. Thanks, Christos

  12. I'm thinking about modifying my Saitek Pro Flight Yoke with rubber bands and I watched the "Saitek Yoke Disassembly" video where it's shown how to remove two springs which are later replaced by rubber bands. I'd like to know if it's at all possible to reassemble that mechanism after it's taken apart (if the rubber bands are not working well for me or for whatever reason)? I'm particularly concerned about the second, lower spring, disassembly of which is not shown very well in the video. BTW, anybody knows what's wrong with Leo Bodnar site, it's unreachable for quite some time now.. is it still in business?

  13. Hello everyone. Im finally about to be able to start FSX with a new computer. I do not have any flight controllers anymore. Can you all suggest a decent one for me that has all the functionality of yoke/rudder for a budget of $150? I am not looking for the best and most cutting edge, just the best I can get for 150 or less. Thanks so much!

  15. Looking to buy a new keyboard and mouse JUST for P3Dv4 and (maybe, havent decided yet) FSX SE. Still doing research on it. Don't mind paying a premium for "the good stuff". Anyone have a combo they want to rave and rant about? Will upgrade to new yoke and pedals down the road. Getting back into the hobby after a few years off from a 12 year run. Seeing P3Dv4 come out in 64bit is just too temping. I really thought the hobby was going away. It's nice in this case to be wrong. Thanks.

Hopefully this will be a place where lots of great tips and ideas will be shared, how to best setup a profile for a particular aircraft etc. You will find the forum over here https://forum.brunner-innovation.swiss/

Hi, I am in the process of building my Cessna Home Cockpit. At the moment it is far from finished, still a lot of work to do. I use a Saitek Cessna yoke, but the pots are bad and I dont like the overall feeling of it. I already placed rubber bands in it, but it still doesnt feel good. Because my panel is from TRC, I am thinking of buying their yoke. Is this a good choice? This is the yoke http://www.simkits.com/product/usb-yoke-system/ This is my simcockpit, as you can see I am having troubles with the yoke.... Any feedback is appreciated!

  19. Hi All, I need a little help. I an running Windows 7, 64 bit and I am having problems with my controls. I have the Saitek Pro Yoke, extra throttle and rudders. Everything was working fine and then one day when I turned on the computer, the Yoke and throttle wouldn't power up (rudders were fine). I bought a powered USB hub and the controls work again. However, when I input a right aileron deflection, the #2 (2 engine aircraft) or the #2 and #4 (four engine aircraft) shut down. There is no visible switch the is moved and there is no action other than aileron movement and elevator movement tied to the Yoke. I updated drivers, restarted multiple times, deleted the…

  21. I'm playing around with the thought of getting a Brunner CLS-E yoke to make my VR experience not only a visual sensation but also physically feel a bit more realistic. Short of having a moving platform I figured a FF yoke might be a good option to at least get some physical feedback. Then of course it wouldn't be just to add something "alive" into my VR environment but also to replace my plastic CH yoke which I had for many years with something a bit more robust. I found a number of reviews and posts about this yoke where the majority of them were very positive with comments such as 'The best investment I ever made for my FS'. I also liked the fact that this yok…

  22. Hello! I've recently bought two Saitek Pro Flight Throttle Quadrants. They're both USB connected but when I plug them in Windows 10 recognizes just one and not both. The second one is an "unknown device". I looked in the device manager and it said that drivers aren't installed correctly although I've installed them (Saitek drivers). Could you please help me with this?

I searched high and low to find pictures of the internal components of the ACE desktop yokes, never found a thing. SO! Here are a few pictures of mine that i received today from Aviation Megastore. ACE Aircraft Controls Engineering Is the maker of these units. My review of them as a company is one star, communication is horrid. Its almost impossible to get information about the yokes from them, In the box they don't offer and further form of communication other than a email address for " Daryl". If you don't agree to my opinion of them as a company, Do some googling and you will find MANY others with the same complaints. Any more i am becoming bothered by these …
