Hi--it's been about three years since this topic came up. Here's a quote: I cured the problem long ago here by using the plastic clay sold to mount posters on the wall... goes under different trade names these days. Original was called "fun-tack" I think. Now Scotch brand "Adhesive Putty", other brands with other trade names.Anyway, placing a nice size wad of this under each foot of the yoke and then pressing the unit down with body weight for 15 seconds or so, will hold it in place until you need to move it. (you still need to tighten the clamps well)Be sure to knead the plastic clay in your fingers before you stick it down each time. Best bet is white as it will n…

Hi--I think it's been about three years since this suggestion came up in the forums. I just thought I'd mention again how useful "museum putty," a/k/a sticky putty, is to mount hardware. 3. So I'm finally going to upgrade from my x52 controller to the Saitek rudder pedals and yoke/throttle. But here is the thing, on amazon it shows as unreleased for the newer version (the logitech one): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LYPMTPT/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza Meanwhile it's available on the Logitech website, and can be bought on amazon by 3rd party sellers. But if I could, I'd rather purchase from amazon to get the prime shipping... https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/product/flight-sim-rudder-pedals just curious if anyone would know as to why it's saying it's a pre-order item?

I currently use Saitek's Multipanel and Radio Panel in P3D with spad.neXt (paid version). I'm interested in picking up the switch panel but since I fly more twins than I do single engine I'd like to know if anyone has figured out an easy way to assign the mag/starter switch for L then R. In searching, I found one comment that this capability would be supported starting with spad.neXt 0.9, but I've found no comments post release of .9 indicating whether this was actually implemented or how this actually works. For now, I'm simply interested in whether it can be (relatively) easily done. If so I'll go ahead and pick up the switch panel. If not, it probably isn't wo…

  6. This problem has really been bothering me for a long time. I have tried basically everything in the book to solve it. When I switch tasks in flight, say to check vpilot or go to chrome, my controller resets and causes fsx not to read it anymore. I tried porting it through FSUIPC and the same problem occured. I've gone through device manager(making sure it doesn't cut off for power saving), and did the same thing in control panel. I have run fsx in compatability mode, still no luck. When I check fsuipc anything to do with the yoke disappears. I've updated the drivers on saitek, and the problem is still there. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with vas because whenever…

Hi everyone, I am planning on making my own throttle quadrant for FSX. However, since I haven't done much DIY stuff before, I have no idea what I am supposed to do. I couldn't seem to find anything with a quick google search or on these forums... Just wondering if any of you guys know of anything... I am looking for a comprehensive step-by-step guide (writen or video) that would have all the dimensions for the quadrant as well as how to mount all the electronics. As far as the design goes, I am looking for a Boeing style. It doesn't really matter if its a 737/757/767/777/787. I don't really need a trim wheel or anything fancy either... Just 2 throttles (rev…

I bought ChasePlane yesterday and found out I need more buttons. Now I was thinking about getting a very basic (and very cheap) external numeric keypad for that. Would that work...? Or does Windows and/or Prepar3D see the keys on that keypad as if they are the same as the ones on my regular keypad? In other words: if I assign the 5 of the external numeric keypad to something like 'centre view' would a press on the 5 of my regular keypad's ALSO centre the view? I don't want that, obviously: I need EXTRA keys! Any other idea's on how to extend the available keys? Obviously there are a lot of keys I don't use for P3D but they are all over the keyboard... I could us…

I am happy to report my ACE 737 Yoke has finally arrived. Before I continue with my review first let me say I was probably one of there most impatient customers to date. There were a few times I just wanted to cancel my order which is human nature. I was a apprehensive for awhile due to the communication issues but after talking with Darryl I was not aware of what was going on behind the scene or what it takes to build a quality product during the last month and they were very busy trying to get out a very large amount of orders. Darryl told me the wait would be well worth it and you can't rush quality. Well he was right. After my wait I finally received my trackin…

  11. Guys, I could really use some help with what to buy, as there are way too many choices out there. I've been looking for about a month now, reading any forum post I can find, reading the reviews. But I'm just getting more and more confused on what would meet my needs the best, and still be within my $800-$900 total budget (for both items). My current flight controller is the Saitek X52 Flight System (joystick & throttle), which has a twist joystick that I've assigned to the rudder. My primary flight siim is now X-Plane 11, but I also own P3D and DCS (mainly helicopters). My Saitek works fairly well for the helicopters, but I think that pedals would give me better co…

Playing FSX:SE on Windows 10 using the Saitek X52. A few problems arise that I would normally expect to patch by adjusting the 'control' settings, but I have some difficulty. First of all, the null zone. This is a slider in the FSX settings > controls > calibration (tab) > advanced controls. There are several sliders including one that sets the null zone for different control surfaces and engine throttle. It's supposed to be slided within a range of 0-100 percent. Set at 10 percent for example and the throttle would have to be moved to 10% for positive throttle. Below it would normally engage thrust reversing. However, this doesn't really seem to …

  13. Hello everybody, I spent some time trying to figure out the best way to assign trimming small aircraft (A2A Cessna 172 in this case). This is my setup: - Saitek Pro Flight Yoke and Throttle Quadrant - Saitek Rudder Pedals - P3D v4.1 - FSUIPC 5 registered - all controls and calibrations assigned through it... I tried using the mouse wheel (that's an option in FSUIPC) but that way I couldn't turn knobs like radios, indoor light using the mouse wheel... Then I tried to assign one of the yoke buttons, the one that you operate with left thumb. That kind of works but I feel like it's moving too slow for my needs. For example when I'm on approach i…

Hi all. I have been looking for more reliable drivers for my Saitek hardware. Then I came across SPAD Next, which sounds like a more advanced driver. I have been out of the loop a bit with FS generally so this is new to me. I haven't bought the registered version, but it looks like it might work with P3D3.4. And I will probably buy it because the default Saitek are drivers useless. It is annoying because you pay good money for this hardware. Then you have to pay someone else to make it work properly. Are there any pre-made profiles for the specific Saitek device? In my case I have a Saitek Radio Stack, Pro flight yoke and pedals. I saw a video which was in…

Been having an issue lately with Track IR. It seems to have stopped working at certain airports within Prepar3d 4.1. I can start with the default scenario and it works but when I change to say Frankfurt it stops working. This is a recent development. Just did the fall creators update but the problem started before that. Have tried reinstalling the software, deleting entries from the registry but still can't get it to work properly. Any help would be appreciated. Steve G.

It's about time to move forward. My 9 years old Saitek Pro is about to go south and I would like to abandon the Plastic. My budget dosn't let me go with the PFC or the Yoko, so I'm thinking of the GoFlight Vantedge, however I can't find reviews and no recent posts on this device. I'm aware that GF had some issues with this Yoke in the past, but I'm wondering if GF overcome those issues. Any input as of performance, functionality, durability Etc, will be highly appreciated Cheers Yair

Anyone know where to get toggle switch covers for the Goflight round toggle switches? Goflight sells a pack for $15.99, but it has button covers also (which I don't need) with a bunch of different colors, which I also don't need. Looking for white, grey or some neutral color, just to give a better feel for the switches. Thanks much. Jay

  21. I really liked my CH Eclipse Yoke after Saitek for a number of years but about a year ago, my Eclipse died. The lights were on so it had power and it would show up in P3D controls but it would not take any axis or button assignments. I thought it was fried so I put my old Saitek yoke back into service. It worked but I missed my Eclipse so I bought a new one plug and play. I got the same indication as my last Eclipse. I checked the Human Interface device and it said it said HID game controller and it was working. That is until I checked the events section were it said "Device HID\VID_068E&PID_0057\983b1808e9&2&0000 could not be migrated." A search of this err…

Hi there. I am current using the Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog with throttle and joystick. I have been using it for years and it's been great but lately now when I touch the "fire" button on the joystick I occasionally get static current on my fingers which forces me to remove my hands quickly. It happens randomly and as I try to put my finger on the "fire" button again, after a few times, it goes away. Hope it makes sense? When i touch the round metallic pad near the Joystick's movement ball, I also get static sometimes. The throttle however works fine. Is this possible faulty cable that connects the PC with Joystick through USB? I just want to know the possible reasons and…
