HI all, I'm currently using my old trusty Cyborg V1 and I'm looking for something better. Must be left handed as that's how I fly. Anybody got something worth recommending?

I'm going to buy a new controller for my P3D v4.1. The budget, which I have is $300 max. At first I want to say that currently I don'w want to buy rudder pedals so please don't propose it to me. Mostly I fly in PMDG Boeing planes. I'm not sure whether it's better to choose the Saitek Yoke or some joystick with the throttle? I know that Boeings have yokes comparing to Airbus. But Saitek yoke with throttles in my opinion has to small amount of buttons. What do you think? On the other hand I think about Saitek X56 joystick with throttle but I'm not sure whether it is to advanced? I saw some reviews and it has a lot of small sticks and other things, which I think …

JD-Slow-Thumbs, BuildLog For Helicopter Collective On YouTube I made a simplified Helicopter Collective for use with flight simulators like MS-FSX. I made it by splicing into a joystick. Works pretty good. I am negotiating to Distribute Kits of the key coponents (for more advanced versions of course). Thanks for reading, JD Collective BuildLog 3B – on YouTube https://youtu.be/XExP-xBc5sg

After a PC rebuild and reinstall, I’m now having MAJOR problems with my Saitek throttle quadrants in P3Dv4, when (trying) to use them with FSUIPC. I’m posting here as I’ve already spoken with Pete and sent him logs, and he’s certain the issue isn’t with FSUIPC. That leaves me at a complete lossL In all my years with FSX & P3D, I’ve always used the registered version of FSUIPC to control all my FS controllers, with both calibration and assignments, so have a reasonable working knowledge of setting it all up. My throttle setup is a little unusual, but only in that both quadrants are USB units. I don’t have a Saitek Yoke, so there is not the usual PS2 co…

Hello, I have read forum postings around the web where people have added or suggested adding Leo Bodnar hat switches to their existing yokes that didn't come with one (i.e. Yoko), Has anyone done this successfully? It sounds like you could just mount the hat switch on the side of one of the yoke handles, no biggie. However, when I saw the switch on the Leo Bodnar site, i noticed that it doesn't have an enclosure (It's just a circuit board, with the switch and some wires that I guess go to a Bodnar board). Is there an enclosure that you could put this in so it looks more integrated? I've googled and googled but can't seem to find any pics of a Leo Bodnar hat swit…

I recently purchased a powered USB hub for my Saitek Yoke, Rudder pedals and throttle system. I have the power supply for the yoke which powers the controller from the wall, however - I cannot get the yoke to connect to the computer when plugging it into the powered USB hub. Yes the hub is connected to the computer via USB, but the controller will not connect to the computer where as it does if I just plug it independently into the computers USB socket. Any ideas?

Hello, I have a Pro Saitek Yoke with the associated throttle with a PS2 plug. The yoke is working fine but the throttle is wearing out (poor quality). Now what if I just get another USB saitek throttle (1 unit) and use it by itself. I already have one USB throttle. How will another throttle be recognized in Windows 7 devices??? and will this then be OK using FSUIPC5 for P3Dv4??? Did not find much info on this here so that is why I am asking. Thanks

Hello! I use the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke with the Quadrant (connecting to the yoke via PS2) since a few years now (first WIN7 then WIN10) and it always worked flawless... Now I have a new PC (also with WIN10) and the Throttle worked normal. But suddenly the Quadrant stopped working. When I plug in the yoke with the quadrant connected the yoke works normal and the display of the yoke is lit. But on the quadrant the little green power led is just flashing for a second on plugin and goes dark. No programms (FSUIPC, the Saitek programm... ) is recognising the quadrant. The Yoke itself works as it should. There is no damage or whatsoever on the quadrant, as I alw…

Hi, I know these are two different types of yokes (control loading vs non control loading), but trying to figure out what to get to replace my ch yoke. I really can't find many reviews on control loading yokes (I guess because they are so expensive, few people have them). I guess, is control loading a huge difference in immersion ? I pretty much just fly the Majestic Q400 and eventually may get a PMDG jet or Quality Wings 787 when it's available. Is control loading a big deal with jets vs props? I hear good things about the yoko, but without trying one, I can't tell if it's worth $1000 from my CH since they both are non control loading yokes. Thanks Bi…

I've been away from my flightsim computer for about a month. Yesterday I powered it back up, and discovered that my Virtual Fly TQ-6 throttle quadrant has disappeared completely from the system. It's not in the Devices and Printers window. It's not listed in the game controllers calibration window. It's reported as "device not detected" in the Virtual Fly interface software. And only three game controllers, as opposed to my usual four, appear in the Device Manager. It normally sits on a powered USB hub. All the other devices on the hub are detected and working properly. I've tried plugging the TQ-6 directly into the computer, with no success - Windows doesn't …

Hey everyone, first post here so forgive me if it's in the wrong place. I'm a licensed private pilot, building a Cessna 172SP panel for use with X-Plane 11 (of course) and have a question about rotary encoders. I'm building the panel with analog/steam gauges and plan to use them for things like the heading bug, altimeter setting, etc. I'm new to building electronics but have been around electronics my whole life, so I get the idea of how they work. My question is, how do you know which ones to buy? I see 6mm, 12mm--what is that referring to? My "panel" is 1/4 inch plywood so I need the threaded portion to be more than that, otherwise I'll have to rout out behind the…

Hello all, trying to get the Logitech switch panel to work with the B717 and spadnext. I see a ton of VAR options for the 717 but nothing works. Anyone have a profile or even some info that the two can work together? Before I hop over to the spad forums (did not create a support profile there yet), I'm hoping someone can shed some light.

I have a Thrustmaster HOTAS Cougar cast metal Joystick and Throttle in original packing, its hardly ever used and in as new condition (Except the glue that holds the little rubber feet has gone bad over time, but the feet are very easy to replace.) I does anyone know what the price should be if I put it on eBay? I can only find partial sets - not a complete set.

I noticed that when I stop FSX SE, I cannot restart it without shutting off mij PC. I also saw that in spite of shutting the sim off, the Logitech panel plug in for the Saitek panels is not ending and keeps showing the panels working, although I cannot change values anymore. In the task manager I can also see the LogFlightSimX.exe still working in the processes. I read somewhere that this could be blocking FSX SE to restart. Anyone knows about this? Is there a way of stopping the Saitek panels plug in without killing it in the task manager? Thanks for yr help

I received a Logitech Flight Switch Panel for Christmas for my FSX system, and I'm not sure of the proper device drivers/software that is needed. I've had the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke System with rudder pedals and throttle quadrant for years. If I remember correctly, back then I was told not to use the Saitek drivers/software and just use FSUIPC. I think that this Logitech Flight Switch Panel is really Saitek. I tried to just plug in the Switch Panel USB into my computer and then fired up FSUIPC, but it didn't recognize it. I'm assuming I need some driver first. I've seen posts for software called Linda? Do I need this? Does that software also contain a driver, o…

I have some questions about Saitek Pro Flight yoke and throttle quadrant. 1. Is this set fully compatible with Prepar3D v4.1? 2. Does the yoke is self centering for both axes? In other words - if I pull the yoke and let it go does it return to the center? Or if I "turn" the yoke left/right - does it return to the center?

Hi all, Hoping that someone here can help me with a very specific problem - several years ago I purchased the Volair FlightSim chair (great product, highly recommend it.) At the time I used the included velcro strips to attach my Saitek equipment (multi panel, switch panel, etc.) to the Volair desk. However, the velcro has proven to be not very effective. I would like to attach these devices using screws - however the screws that came with the Saitek equipment cannot be found. I've tried a bunch of different types of screws from my toolbox, but can't seem to find one that fits. I even reached out to Saitek/Logitech support - they provided me with a diagram (whi…

Hi! I just did a clean install of Windows, and when I plugged Pro Rudder pedals it worked and installed the software, but when I try the same for my Pro Flight Yoke, I get no power on the joystick, but the throttle quadrant is giving a light who is connected via the Yoke. It's not detected in Device manager, not as Unkonown device or Saitek device. I dont know whats wrong?

Hello I'm currently using the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, which has become very jumpy lately. Even after calibrating the joystick, it is very difficult to fly with it. The Thrustmaster T16000 HOTAS looks like a good budget stick. Here in SIngapore, only the Stick costs around SGD 219, and the whole flight pack costs around SGD 349, which is a good deal. Are the throttle and rudder pedals worth buying ? The Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS flightstick costs around SGD 400, something a wee bit outside my budget. Other than the better build and durability, is there any difference in the accuracy of the Warthog and T16000 ? Are there any other products which I should t…

Well I'm just about pulling what's left of my hair out. My Saitek yoke and pedals were working ok when I made the mistake of trying to update the drivers (Madcatz) The installer got as far as telling me to plug in the yoke, I did, nothing. The 'NEXT' button just won't enable. I tried uninstalling the current drivers and that made things worse. Windows 10 wouldn't even start. I've managed to get into Windows now but if I plug in the yoke then unplug it Windows hangs. The display on the front of the yoke is now showing 'FrlrLc' which, I'm sure is not right. So now: Can't use the yoke, can't uninstall old drivers fully, can't install new drivers. In Window…

Hi--it's been about three years since this topic came up. Here's a quote: I cured the problem long ago here by using the plastic clay sold to mount posters on the wall... goes under different trade names these days. Original was called "fun-tack" I think. Now Scotch brand "Adhesive Putty", other brands with other trade names.Anyway, placing a nice size wad of this under each foot of the yoke and then pressing the unit down with body weight for 15 seconds or so, will hold it in place until you need to move it. (you still need to tighten the clamps well)Be sure to knead the plastic clay in your fingers before you stick it down each time. Best bet is white as it will n…
