Hi everyone, After a long break from flight simulation I have purchased Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. After a very slow install I had everything working beautifully. Then I set up my controllers. The Saitek X55 Pro Rhino HOTAS set. I used the excellent YouTube tutorial by Squirrel Things worked great until at about 3:00 am in the morning I decided it was time for bed. The next day when I started MSFS2020 none of the X55 profile would connect to any aircraft. I have uninstalled various things to see if I had mucked up the system. SDK, Nvidia drivers, but to no effect. I can still assign X55 keys in the controller profiles they just don’t …

Hello everyone Thought i might add a dedicated keypad for fs2020 to handle the custom cockpit and external views, but when I hooked up a simple usb keypad, i realized that it just mimics the keypad on my existing keyboard. So...I see our friends at amazon sell a "gaming" keypad with "programmable" keys. Has anyone tried this already and did it work for what I'm trying to do ?! Thanks

Hi all! I'm a person who just enjoys flying, so I'm not heavy into simulation. ie- I don't care about preflight checklists, radio communications, etc, but I really want an authentic feel and as realistic as possible (well, with what my computer and internet can handle). This seems like a stupid question, but do joysticks go bad? lol As others mentioned, both of my old joysticks were not recognized, so I had to figure out how to assign all the major functions. I then got nervous when I went into calibrate the controls. Yikes! The curves were jittering around all over the place when the joystick was centered and I wasn't touching it. The responses on the screen …

I assigned my joystick to STEERING SET. (It works great is FSX and P3D) but not for FS2020. The joystick simply doesn't steer the nose wheel in the large jets. I see steering set says to make sure full left is assigned a number like -16,783 and full right +16,783. But where do you assign these numbers? I am not using the new Beta FSUIPC. Any ideas??

Hi guys My family plans to buy me a yoke and rudder pedals for Christmas to replace my old CH Products. They’ve asked me what model I would like and I said the Honeycomb but this is a bit out of the price range. The Logitech Saitek yoke would probably be my second choice but I wanted to hear some opinions from you guys if this is a decent yoke still? I know it’s been around for a while but I’m sure it’s still an upgrade from the CH products. There seems to be a lot of options for joysticks but I’m much more comfortable with a flight yoke

Does such a thing exist?. I have butchered my X52 Joystick to represent a full length central stick as in aircraft like a cub, but in the process have lost all the switches on it including the hat. Does anyone do a usb hat switch?, or alternatively would getting one of those game console type controllers and plugging that in as well give me a hat switch function in FS 2020? FS2020 doesnt give me the option to map the view movement to anything else at all.

I just ordered a box from them for my Saitek TQ but I never received any order confirmation nor any receipt. I did receive an email from Paypal though showing me the transaction. Hopefully all is good but it does feel a bit odd paying for something without any confirmation you did...

Hi Guys. I have old Saitek Cessna yokes and rudder pedals and I've gone through two sets over the last six years or so. Every so often they come up for sale on eBay and sell for several times the original price. The trim wheels last but the yoke and rudder pedals don't -- wiring breaks, potentiometers are bad, and so on. So, I've been looking other options -- especially for something more durable and realistic. I'm thinking about getting the Brunner force feedback yoke and rudder pedals ($4K USD) Have any of you used these? I fly GA aircraft in real life. How do they compare? https://www.brunner-innovation.swiss/product/cls-e-rudder-cls-e-yo…

Hi all, So in P3D I had my Honeycomb Alpha and Saitek throttle rigged up by having both the Alpha and the Saitek Yoke connected (because the Saitek throttle is connected to the yoke, no separate PC connection for the throttle, it has to plug into the Saitek yoke). So you plug both yokes in, disable the control and axis commands for the Saitek yoke but leave the throttle, prop and mixture controls for the Saitek throttle, then assign all the yoke functions to the Alpha. So in the end you're running the Alpha yoke and the Saitek throttle. A bit odd but it works in P3D. I'm wondering if it's possible to get the same setup working in MSFS2020. I haven't really …

Has Anyone Tried The Flight Illusions HW-FFB-CSN Force Feedback Yoke? https://www.flightillusion.com/product/hw-ffb-csn/ https://www.flightillusion.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/Brochure-GSA-FFB.pdf I can't find any information on this except a few YouTube videos that look like an initial concept that may or may not be from the same developers.

I have an old Cyborg 3D and it always worked well. Now in FS2020 I can't get it to work correctly. Even when I turn the sensitivity way down the aircraft is uncontrollable. The sensitivy screen shows that its inputs are all good but in use the inputs to the aircraft are laggy and jittery and not linear at all. Its either nothing or wham and full deflection. I end in a spinning power dive into terrain. Help! Please!

Can anyone offer advice on how to get my t.flight rudder pedals working in fs2020. I've followed the installation instructions and checked that the pedals are working, which they are, but they do not work in the simulator. In options/controls a picture of the pedals is shown but they do not appear to work and do not work during flights. 5 hours spent downloading the sim yesterday, hope it's going to be worth it. thanks in anticipation.

I have had MSFS installed for over 20 years beginning with an Atari 800 and I have never had a problem with input until now. I am hoping someone can provide guidance. In the very old days I used the keyboard, but not a mouse. Now I have a Saitek Aviator 01 and a Logitech extreme 3D Pro joystick. The Saitek is recognized but not configured and the Logitech is fully supported. I used the Logitech after installation and everything worked fine except the throttle. Sometimes idled at 50% power setting, reverse axis did nothing, never knew what to expect of basic Cessna 152. Ditto with Saitek. Removed throttle from joystick configuration and used the keyboard (F1-F4…

I have never seen one, thus my question. Does anyone know of a plug and play USB hat switch that can be used to switch/move views while using MSFS 2020? I am hoping for something similar in concept to the one built into the Saitek yokes. I have a PFC yoke which doesn't include this switch and am hoping for something that is easy to install that I might mount to the grip of my yoke. I don't want to either build and/or have to mess with a lot of software as necessary to create this from parts, Thanks folks, Brian

I've always used a stick for flight sim, (currently a cheap Thrustmaster stick and throttle) but one of the things I find most difficult is trimming the aircraft. In a real aircraft trimming is 100x easier than in a sim as you pitch the aircraft, feel the pressure on the yoke, spin the trim wheel and instantly feel the pressure fall away until it's prefectly trimmed, in a couple of seconds. In a sim, I hold the pitch I want, press the trim button but have to guess where to stop. Does a yoke exist that replicates this pressure, or are they all on a fixed spring? Maybe I am being stupid and they all do this!

Hey guys! I was trying out the new FS2020 with the Thrustmaster TCA Sidestick (https://shop.thrustmaster.com/en_gb/tca-sidestick-airbus-edition.html) and am experiencing some problems with the built-in throttle axis. Whenever I'm going to the settings, the axis will be reversed. So: up is less thrust, down is more thrust. Apart from this being somehow annoying I'm not able to use reverse thrust as well. I tried to use axis reversing in the FS2020 settings, the checkbox state will be saved. But whenever I check the settings again or in flight itself, the throttle goes back to reversed state. Firmware is up to date. I'd appreciate your input to fix this.…

Does anyone know if it's possible to map the hat switch to cockpit look up / down / left / right? There seems to be no option to bind any yoke controls to "look" events for this yoke. I've seen other threads where other joysticks did this successfully, but the Saitek yoke profile doesn't have it. Has anyone found a way?

Hi everyone, My Logitech Flight Multi Panel is not recognized by FS2020. It is showing under Hardware on iOS but not in SIM and LED is just always blank except at boot up. Any recommendations? I assumed I could use the FSX driver but perhaps will not work until Logitech provides a new driver?! Any help is greatly appreciated !!! Thank you, J.

Very frustrated here. I managed to map all the axes to the Sim - seems the X52 Pro didn't get the "preset" programs. But now I can't control the sim at all. I move an axis a little, nothing happens. A little more, and it jumps suddenly from point to point. I've installed latest drivers to no avail. Calibration in Win10 shows everything working fine. Likewise if I click on "Sensitivity" in the sim my sticks describe the graph perfectly, with no "jumps". At a loss. Any ideas, please?

Hi, I bought Flight Simulator (2020) this morning and I wanted to play it with the USB stick I have. I've played FSX with this stick too. It is regarding https://support.thrustmaster.com/en/product/usbjoystick-en/. When I go to the control settings, I see that the stick is listed as "USB Game Controllers" but I cannot assign controls to it (see screenshot here https://prnt.sc/u1ktp2). Any suggestions? -Daniel

Hey Guys I successfully installed the FS2020 a few hours ago. When I saw that there's no preset for my X52 Pro, I started setting it up by myself. Since there's no axis for the throttle (as usual?), you can only set a ''button'' to increase/decrease the throttle. That means that by moving the lever, I can only set the throttle to 0 or 100%... Any one else having these problems? Please Help!
