Hi all,sorry for posting here as the problem is with my TH2G cable but I have not had much luck with Matrox so wondered if someone could assist here.i have one of the original TH2G analogue devices with the VGA ports on both sides.The cable that connects my graphics card (GTX 260) to the input on the TH2G has is faulty and so the colourson the screen keep changing by themselves. i know 100% it is the cable because as soon as you touch it, the screen flickers and changes colour.I went out and bought a standard 15pin male to male VGA cable but when I try to go to 3 screens by launching FS9 (from my normal single screen desktop) the screen goes black with the egg timer.Can a…

Follow the link to the download page and download "Platform Update for Windows Vista_Beta.cmd.remove". When I downloaded it and saved it to my computer, I removed the extension ".remove". Then, when the download completed, I simply ran the script. Well I am kinda on a roll for upgrading my PC for FSX. This is currently what I have:Q6600 STOCK - Can't overclcok, have a Dell Dimension E520 4 GB of RAM @ 800MHz 4-4-4Dell Generic MOBOand finally a GeForce 8600GT 256MBI am maxed out on the CPU/RAM. I am getting pretty good results for the system I have but I was wondering if upgrading the video card to lets say a 9800GT with 1GB of RAM or an 8800GT with 512MB of RAM would help? I was thinking of getting used one from eBay. I would have to upgrade my PSU as well.Do you think the video card upgrade is worth it? Is my GPU the bottle neck?Thanks in advance for your time,F.K.

Should I grab an EVGA GTX 285 1mb FTW while I still can, or wait for the 300 series? Hello,I've got the Gainward GTX260 running on Enhanced mode with the Gainward software. According to the manual, this overclocked setting is garunteed to run in any system - just a bit of background info there :). Anyway, I'm on the 182.50 drivers just now and as you can see from the attatched image I'm experiencing some strange phenomena. Two and a half years ago I built a computer which, at the time, had fairly high-end specs except for the video card which is an XFX GeForce 7900GS with 256 MB of DDR3 memory. I was planning to upgrade when Windows Vista came out but I never did. I still have XP. Would there be much of an improvementin in FSX if I upgraded to a 9800GT card with 512 MB of DDR3 memory. Hello All,Well, I finally have my second monitor and Dual Head 2 Go in place and working after a few frustrating attempts to get it all running. I like the effect of the VC across both monitors and the "extra information" that you get, but the one thing that is really bugging me is how the centerline of the runway/taxiway falls right in the middle of the two monitor bezels. I assigned buttons to my yoke to move the eyepoint in the VC left and right (so that important gauges aren't split between the monitors), but there doesn't seem to be a way to "manipulate" the outside view left or right. Ok, so recently I figured out how to crank up my AA settings through my nVidia control panel.And as great as it looks, when I open Squawk Box, something happensThe Squawk Box module creates a line that separates my flightsim. The bottom view in that picture doesn't move, but the upper portion, separated by the module, moves. This only happens when I crank up the settings. Why is this happening?!

Hi Can someone who knows answer the following for me please ? What does a matrox dual or triple head do that you cannot achieve from within windows by stretching the display over 2 monitors? Or from a multi outlet graphics card such as mine ( I have a 4850 X2 with 4 outlets on it) Do you need to have 2 or 3 equally sized monitors to get the best result from a dual or triple head? The reason I ask is that I just a dual head, ( I have 2 24 inch monitors) but the bezel in the middle annoys me and I am wondering wether to get a third monitor. Looking for advice from owners of the ATI HD 4870 graphics card about anti-aliasing in FSX. I've tried nearly all the permutations of 3D settings in Catalyst Control Center (current driver version 9.8), and also have tried using ATI Tray Tools (latest beta), but cannot get certain textures such as aircraft liveries to be anti-aliased properly. I am having this small issue with my leadtec gts 250 cooling fan. The pwm type fan is driver controlled and revs at full speed on startup until the win display drivers get loaded. The fan responds ok to high temp on load and increases speed but fails to slow down after returning to idle even after >30min when things have cooled down. The gushing noise gets kind of annoying, I need to restart my pc to bring the speed down. using 190.38 x64 drivers on win7.

Hi to all,I would like to describe the following problem occured after installation of the new 190.62 nvidia drivers.I 'm running FS9.1 under Vista 64bits with absolutely no problems using drivers up to 186.18.After installing 190.62 and when in full screen mode everything turns to black periodically (every 2 secs). just noticed win 7 is showing a shared memory for my gfx card. googled and found something called virtualized video memory where gpu ram is paged on system ram. but I am confused if this has any benefit as ram is much slower than vram. does it help boost performance or merely allow higher resolution textures at cost of some fps?

I would like to run FSX in a black & white mode - vintage ambience. However, I can't see any controls such as color saturation.I have a nVidia 8600 with 256mb. I just saw a few at Frys electronics. A 20" and a 21". A glossy screen and a matte screen. They look pretty darn nice. Same price as LCD's but seem to be brighter and 2ms response time, 10,000/1 contrast ratio, extremely thin (dare I say 1" thick), and I could barely detect any heat. Is this the wave of the future? Maybe I will hold on to my pennies a few more months to see if 24" or 25" hit the stores.... maybe they already have?Clutch
