This is a variation on the multi monitor discussion. I currently havetwo 20" monitors and wanted to add a 3rd but I can not find a standard20" at either Newegg or Tigerdirect. Everything is widescreen. I canfind a 19 however I would expect issues with aligning the image due tothe different screen sizes.Does anyone have any experience with this that they would like to shareas to how it can be done. Many thanks,Jim

Hi everyone,I've just recently purchased a new HP laptop with a NVidia GeForce GT130M graphics card onboard. This is a notebook version of the graphics card, not the GT130. I've installed NVidia WHQL driver software version 195.62. I've also installed the NVidia system tools software. The OS is Win7-64bit Home Premium edition (RTM).Now I've noticed in the NVidia settings that I have the option of changing up to 3 clock settings: Core clock; Memory clock; and Shader clock. The settings to change the cooling are grayed out, so I would assume that there is no separate cooling installed for the GPU itself. Now I was wondering which of these settings should I change to achieve …

I just uped my vcard from a XFX 9800GT to a MSI 275GTX. I've been looking at that card for a few months thinking it's a very well made card and it is. But I see absolutely no FPS gain in FS9 or FSX. I used to get around 20 FPS in the Citation Mustang sitting at KFHR with fair weather and 275GTX gives me the same.I use 182.50 for both cards. Refreshed drivers and CFG files when I switched. Rest of my spec is E8400 o/ced to 3.67Ghz, 4GB DDR1066 ram, Win XP super clean install only for siming. Is there a better version of Nvidia driver for the 200 series cards?

I'm sure this has been discussed before but I am not too proficient at the search function just yet.I am almost certain this has to do with my graphics card so this is why I will post this here. The textures on my and the AI's aircraft shimmer horribly in addition to airport building textures. I don't know if this is an AA issue but I have that set to 4xS in nHancer and it is indeed working (at least to some degree) since the edges of applicable models are smooth and not jagged. I have AS set to 4x and all textures remain sharp and not blurry except for those that shimmer which become illegible. Overall resolution is set to 1280x1024 simply because I have not gotten aroun…

Hello,I am trying to get this figured out once and for all.I am running a custom built machine:4Gb ramASUS P5NT motherboardDirect X 11 is the version I am usingI have the NVidia GeForce GTX 280.I am running Windows 7 32 bit.I am having so many problems with AntiAliasing in FS9, it's all jagged and blury, I would also like to fix FSX up to the best performance and image quality I can get out of this machine.I am currently not using Nhancer, I have tried it and it didn't seem to do anything. My questions are:What Drivers should I have installed for my Nvidia card? Where do I get them? I currently have the latest ones installed but I read they don't do very well with AA in FS…

Hi,Is this normal for this card to produce very pixely night textures in FSX? Everything is perfect during the day but at night, ground textures, clouds everything looks pixely. I am using the latest NVidia drivers.

I know there has been a lot written on it in the past, but what to do when you got it???I don't know where to start to work systematically on the problem. Anyone who knows the issue through and through?

Is it possible to have two video cards w two lcd monitors and have each monitor plugged into a separate card? If so, can you run for example an outside view on lcd 1 and maybe a spot view on lcd 2? Curious if the 2nd card would take some load off the 1st card and would that work with FS2004?

I have spent a very long frustrating time researching via google, and the forums for this issue and have had no luck at all. I upgraded to the gtx 260 and purchased to new identical monitors. Window mode is the only way to get full vc across the 2 displays. Now the problem....the image is streched. and when zooming it becomes even worse. In external view, there is a break in the middle of the aircraft, because of the split between the 2 monitors, wich i can live with. But, they dont line up. Resolution is the same set thru nvidia control panel.Any ideas? or is this just the way it is. I thought about getting dual or tripple head 2 go if that will solve the problem…

I have a NVidia GeForce GTS250 currently working in my PC. The downside is that I need to keep in-game AA and AF enabled because I never managed to pass AA and AF control over to the NVidia driver, even nHancer didn't help.I also tested with an ATI HD4870, with this adapter I was able to disable AA in FSX and use the driver's AA, but the adapter caused some nasty display glitches (which are known to exist in FSX for this GPU series; finding out that I'm not alone with this problem and it's a hardware/driver issue took me a reasonable amount of investigation), this made reading my LDS 767 displays a disappointing experience, so I switched back to the GTS250.I now think abo…

Just wondering if anybody out there has upgraded from a GTX 260 192 to a 275 with similar hardware specs to my own? I am looking at doing some kind of hardware upgrade and the video card is my first target.

my fsx rig is as follows: q6600 oc'd to 3.2, 8gb ram, gts (250 512mb), on a 32 inch display (vizio lcd hdtv)i get pretty good frame rates (or atleast i can live with them), i have UTX, REX 2 and the PMDG 747. I know fsx is primarily CPU bound, but i sort of feel like my video card is hindering the crispness and/ or detail of the textures. its hard to explain. i see other's screen shots, and i dont feel like i'm seeing the same amazing scenery detail as them even though i have the same add-ons. i have followed nickn's install guide. is there a difference between a gts 250 video card and a gtx 260 or 285 as far as the level of scener detail/ richness? or is fsx so cpu-bound…

Does anyone have the new 27" imac with ATI Radeon HD 4850 512mb GPU and i7 core processor? I saw one in the store the other day and thought that FSX would look great on this machine with that graphics card but I don't want to spend $2k to find out.Any here have that setup running imac in windows mode?Morpheous

In my current machine I have a pair of 8800GTX cards driving four displays one each per DVI output. I just picked up a newer GTX275 card and am wondering what is the best way to go about istalling it? I am assuming it best to uninstall my current drivers then remove both cards install the new card and download the drivers for it? Even if that is correct I have a few additional questions that I hope someone can help me with before I begin.1. I have my Nhancer settings per NickN's instructions I am assuming these can remain unchanged?2. I would still like to keep a single 8800GTX to drive two additional monitors is it possible or will there be a driver conflict? I know …

I have a chance to pick up three new cheaper 22" monitors at a very low price (Acer Model X223WBD for $99 each) Mixed reviews on Newegg but generally positive even at the price they list. My question is really whether or not this is old tech and something I should pass on considering that while the monitors appear to be a good deal I would still need to buy the Matrox TH2go and probably a new graphics card to replace my long in the tooth 8800GTX. With that said the "upgrade" goes from $300 to closer to $900.I am planning a CPU upgrade once th I9's arrive after the new year for now my OC'd Q9650 will soldier on and I believe by then Nvidia will have a new generation of car…

Two weeks ago I was able to try a GTX295 1.8Gb with FSX.Compared to my GTX260 896Mb OC I got around 25% more framerates and FSX was completely smooth.Last week I tried a GTX275 with 2Gb : framerates a bit better than the GTX295 , but completely smooth with all settings to max.Over the last 3 days I tried an EVGA GTX285 FTW ( fastest GTX285 card ) 1Gb.Framerates were less than with the GTX295 and GTX275 and it had those irritating micro stutters at the far outsides.Using 2 monitors with my "old" DH2Go the performance differences are much smaller. Because nowadays I use 3 26" monitors connected to a TH2Go it is very hard on the system.FSX does not use SLI, but I was wonde…

Hi there, I have a strange problem with my FS9. It runs very well at 40 fps locked (OK, it decreases to 20 fps at Aerosoft EDDF in PMDG 747, but it is perfectly acceptable). But, I have this problem with ground textures - they are all blurried, when I fly. Not only in a dostance, but also near the aircraft. There is only one spot right below the aircraft, where the textures are not blurried.I have tried every single fs9.cfg tweak, no help, and not even a slight change. I have tried several different GPU drivers, no change. I think the problem might be related to the GPU, as I use good old nVidia 8800GTS 320 MB and I think it is not capable to run FS9 at FullHD resolution (…

Last week on Nick's advice I upgaded my graphics card.I had a GTX260 Black Edition. This card always worked wel till the moment I bought a 3rd outside view monitor.Than the framerate dropped way dlown. The new card was a GTX275 2Gb.I got 25% more framerates.Yesterday was my lucky day : I met someone who had received a new EVGA GTX285 FTW for RMA; the fastest 285 ever made.I was able to return the 275 and I now fly with a TH2Go and have all detail set to max.Flying over the new GEX Europe is an incredible experience now with those 3 26" screens.I am realy a hapy camper ! :(

Hi all,Has anyone tried this card with 3 or more monitors with FSX?At the moment I have a XFX260 Black Edition ( factory overclocked ) icw a Matrox DualHead2Go that drives two 26" monitors.I wanted to buy another 26" monitor with a TripleHead2Go.Then I read about the ATI card which seames to be capable to run 3 or even 6 monitors. The costs I would make for both choices are about the same.As a friend of mine has the same hardware setup as me only he uses XP icw 2 Matrox DualHead2Go boxes and 4 outside view monitors. So a very wide view for flightsimming. One thing that I did not like much is that with each monitor you add the far distance gets closer, like when zooming in.…

Here I need some thinking with me of you guys.I own a Digital DualHead2Go which was connected to two 26" widescreen monitors --> 3350x1060For a couple of weeks I am able to test with a Analog TripleHead2Go --> 3x 26" widescreen --> 3840x1024For benchmarkflights I use Fraps and FSXMark07 ( flight over Seattle ) I found out that when using the TripleHead2Go I have much lower framerates than with the DualHead2GoResults ( 3x same flight ) DualHead2Go Min 30Max 46Av 39.42TripleHead2GoMin 11Max 25Avg 18.069When putting FSX on only 1 monitor the fps with the DualHead2Go are way higher too. That is 24 compared to 51 for lowest settings ! !Because I am at the point of buy…
