I've read some good reports regarding NOD32 as a virus scanner product. Went to the vendor site today and took a look. I'm still unclear as to whether this product has a firewall in addition to an "anti-virus" function.??I've just created a new instance of WinXP Home, and have a new fresh install of FS9 on it. When I go to this instance I'm disconnecting my internet connection for now until I get some form of internet security (which may be SP2 if NOD32 doesn't include a firewall). My original instance of XP (which includes my e-mail and many other apps) has NAV/NIS installed, but the magnitude of the stutters in FS9 there has prompted me to create this new XP instan…

Since alot of people here use this product I thought I would tap into your experiences with it. just purchased a CH yoke and it seems to be somewhat sticky as it slides back and forth. Is this something that will improve with use, or should I maybe look at returning it, or maybe there is some way of lubricating it? Any thoughts?CheersAustin

I just installed drivers for XP/Saitek 3D USB. I selected "advanced user" during installation. This installed so called "Saitek Magic Bus" to allow me to program my Saitek controller. But something is not right. I don't see any link to this "Magic Bus". In other words I have no clue how to proceed to do any custom programming of this device. Under Programming Files/Saitek the only excutable is a remover of the Saitek Bus. Hi,Hitherto I have always set up my Direct3D and OpenGL settings system wide via Display Properties. This, of course, has the disadvantage of imposing settings on every game running under Direct3D or OpenGL and, in addition, the latest drivers from Omega lump the settings together thus removing any degree of flexibility.Enter Radlinker.....this would appear to be the ideal solution in that you can now establish unique graphic settings for each individual game running in 3D. My problem is how exactly to achieve this.I've read the Radlinker FAQ which seems clear enough. Hello FS friends:In 2-D view the panel bitmaps are bizzarely stretched (see attached). 3-D view, spot plane and tower views appear normal, as do all outside objects. Clickable hotspots in 2-D view seem to be placed normally.Any ideas how to fix this strange stretching of the 2-D panel bitmap?Thanks for your ideas

Heya, for a month now I've been having problems with my Nvidia FX5200 128MB 3D card. I can play FS for about 30 minutes and then suddenly the screen becomes a jumbled mess and the computer freezes. I have the 45.23 drivers as they are the only drivers in which all my games play decently on. I have changed drivers and the effects are still there. UT2004 and Battlefield Vietnam are games which are also affected however games which also use the 3D card such as Simcity 4 and Orbiter are perfectly fine. Any idea what it is? Hi to all:I was wondering if anyone can help me with this issue.I have a CH flightsim yoke from CH product, it is a PC game port not a USB. Since yesterday, I don't know what I did, but my throttle only react to full or low nothing in between regardles wher it is.What I mean by that, is as soom as I move it a bit, it goes to full power, and it does not decrease, andI have to bring it all the way to the back to cut it. I have a NVidia Geforce 4 ti4200 with two monitors plugged into it. I am trying to work out how I can use Flight Sim 2004 on both monitors, but for some reason as soon as I enable the second monitor (using Dual-view mode in the NVidia settings) then when I start Flight Sim, it complains that my video card doesnt support hardware acceleration and that it is starting in software mode.Does anyone know how to setup this video card so I can use it with hardware accel still working??BTW Flight Sim 2002 works perfectly!

Hi there!I have new jostick Logitech WingMan Strike Force 3D, but it's not working properly with FS2004. The thrust control on aircraft can only be set from 20% to 70% with joystick.I have latest driver lgs440enu.exe and I calibrated the controler.On calibration test page the joystick thrust control is working normaly, from min to max, but when I use it in FS2004 this range is limited.Does anybody have similar problems, or anybody has more experience Please suggest me how to solve this problemregardsAndy

I have read that there is an important BIOS update for folks with an 800 FSB INTEL MoBo which I have, but I don't believe I have this update (according to the date given in my System Information - BIOS version/date). Okay I am very frustrated now! I have reinstalled my FS9 (Of course loosing all that I have done already) and my yoke still does not work right in the game! All the buttons are not working, like looking around the cockpit with the hat button. I don't know how to assign this. When I calibrate the yoke, every thing works fine. Every button shows up! Hi,My computer started acting up last night.When I pressed the main On button on the main case, the computer wouldn't start.However, after turning off the main power to the computer via the Bus Bar, the computer would start ok by pressing the On Switch.It seems that everytime I want to start my computer I have to flip the switch on the main bus bar first.What does this suggest?Any ideas?Thanks.

I have just replaced my Nvida graphics card with a Radeon 9800Pro and setting AF & AA does not seem to have any impact on the jaggies either in windowed mode or full screen.I am currently using the drivers that came with card, shown as 6.14.10.6444.On the 3D tab of the ATi control panel I have AA set to 6x and AF set to 4X, AF method is Quality, texture and mipmap set to High quality.I have OK'd the settings and saved them to FS9 profile.Strange thing is, if I change the settings while FS9 is minimised and then restore FS9 the settings take effect and I can switch to full screen with the settings still having an effect.However if I then set FS9 back to windowed mode t…

PROBLEM:My joystick blocks all my incoming and outcoming bandwidth whenever it is enabled and FS (fs2k2) is running!!!! I currently have BootMagic (comes with Partition Magic) with which I have created an alternate C: drive, which remains "hidden" as a primary partition (although Partition Magic can see it).
