I just came from a GForce 2 32 meg card to a new 925x PCIexpress ATI 256 meg X800XT and all I can say is that the Dell ROCKS!I am running FS9 with EVERYTHING cranked hard to the full throttle with the rez set at 1600x1200!!! I recently upgraded my 9800XT to a X800XT. I have been flying various flights using different aircraft PMDG, PSS Airbus Capt Sim and Simflyers airport scenery. All my setting are at MAX MipMap Level 5 Antilasing 6X all setting on the card at High Quality. 1280x1024 32bit. There is a noticable improvement in frame rate. Still in the mid teens at some airports but generally at mid 20 to mid 30 (locked at 35)Mipmap level 5 and trilinear mapping makes the biggest difference to the quality of the scenery. If I remember right, the original release date was June 30, and they keept pushing it back. I had kind of given up, but I thought about it today. I noticed they've changed their web site, with the throttle quadrant being displayed on the main page now. They've also released new Control Manager software, and the readme says it has support for the throttle quadrant.I've looked at a few places online, but they are still not available. Some places are shoiwing a November or October Est. ship date, some haven't been updated and are showing September release date.Has anyone heard anything?

Hi all, I dont know what happened but I was getting with NVidia's newest drivers from their website 60-70 frames at KSAN with my new rig. However when I uninstalled the display drivers and went to next low set of drivers from Nvidia's archieve section my frames went from 20-30 frames at KSAN. What the heck happened. Well I uninstalled those driver and isntalled the ones I had originally and I get the same frames...20-50 this time around. Plus the frames are not very stable just sitting on the ramp. The numbers are fluctuating from 20 to 50 very fast just sitting there....so uninstalled FS9 thinkning that there might be something messued up in the FS2004 config file..…

Hey all. Over the past two weeks I've been having serious driver issues. Although it might be directx, I'm running 9.0c. I have AA and AF at 4 and 8x. Like I always have. But now I am experiencing jagged edges... not always right away but whenever I hit alt+tab to look at a chart or something. When I come back its jagged city. I'm completely lost. I'm running the CAT4.9s from the ATI site on my 9800 Pro 128 MB. I've tried to use the omega drivers but nothing has helped and I'm really getting desperate. Hi all, I just bought a FX5200 128mb card to replace my MX440 64mb card. It seems to be funning fine but when it comes to tweaking card settings I am a noob. Can someone that uses this card please tell me what you have the settings at or explain to me what Anisotropic filtering, Antialiasing filtering, and pros and cons of each. The rest of my computer is a AMD 2400+ 1gig ram. I ask because of coarse I would like it to run the best it can but it seems to run well in the all of my games but some games with intro videos, the videos are choppy but once in runs fairly smooth maxed out. Any help will be very apprieciated.

Hi all at present I am useing a non CH joystick with a gameport type plug, I have had the offer of a set of second hand CH pedals with a gameport plug for a very good price, but my pc only has the one game port socket on the back in the sound card, not knowing the ins and outs of these things, will I be able to use these pedals if I buy them, I was thinking that maybe there is some kind of adapter the both pedals and stick plug into, I am correct in my thinking here.Regards nick inthe uk.

I use a USB Saitek X36 and the CH Products Pro Rudder Pedals.I've been trying to fix this toe brake problem for months.No matter what I do, it always says "brakes" or "differencial brakes" and my feet arent even on the rudder pedals. I have no idea how to fix this, except not enable my rudder pedal to act as brakes. Any suggestions?

Does anyone have any opinions on the ATI Radeon 9550 graphics card?I was browsing new computers at Best Buy (I know, I know..) and came across a system with a P4 3.0 HT 800 Mhz bus system with a 256 MB ATI Radeon 9550 card in it. Sirs-When I run flightsim with my new card installed it often crashes to a blue screen. I have downloaded the latest drivers. Hi all!Was perusing the CH Products website, and in their online store they are closing out the Virtual Pilot Pro for 39.99.Any thing quirky or special I need to know about this controller before I order one. Currently I am using a Thrustmaster Pro Flight Controller System, but its not quite the right thing for flying multi engine props.Also before I knock myself out programming it, has anyone used a Thrustmaster WCS MKII throttle with FS9? got one of those from back in the day, figure if I can use that then I wont have to upgrade to something else in the immediate future.Thanks!Jeff

Gang...I'll be receiving my new system in about a week and aside from having to reinstall the OS due to a new MB and CPU, is there an easy way to move FS9 to the new system without having to reinstall everything again...?I have everything from payware aircraft to traffic add-on's, etc.Will reinstalling just FS9 on the new system and then copying over the old files into that new install location work...?Thanx in advance...

Hey Guys, Well im currently in college and between jobs to boot. So money is tight. But, I have been wanting both rudder pedals and a throttle quadrant for years but can only cough up enough money for one at the moment:(. Anyhow, Right know I have a CH Flight Sim Yoke with 5 Axis(I think) it has one throttle, Mixture, and Propellor on top. I Fly mostly the POSKY A340, 757, and IFDG MD11. And for small flights I use an ATR 72. I want Rudder Pedals for Taxing and Flight Realism, But it sucks only having one little Throttle on top of my yoke when I fly a 4 Engine Jet(The Propellor and Mixture are useless for jets)! It a pain to have to reach over my yoke to adjust the thrott…

My current LCD (2 yr old Gateway 18") has a contrast ratio of 300 or 350:1. It's fine for everything except night flying, where its hard to pick out beacons or stars or lights on the horizon, because the background isn't dark enough (black enough). Will the newer LCD's with contrast ratios of 700:1 or 800:1, display night better?Thanks!Rick
