Okay everyone, I just figured out something today, and I'm not 100% sure it works, I'll need other people to confirm if anyone wants to, and it is reversable. As a lot of us tech-savvy simmers know, NVIDIA's Optimus program has gotten in the way of our performance. For those that don't know, Optimus was developed by NVIDIA to save battery power over performance when a dedicated GPU (The NVIDIA Card) was not needed. However, a lot of us have found it heavily decreases performance by forcing FS into using the Intel HD (Integrated) Graphics, or whatever might be your integrated processor. Hi,I want to teach a friend the ATC procedures so I was looking for a multiplayer add-on to share the cockpit of my LVD 767 in FS9 and found only software from Gates.ToIs there any more software or can you recommand another add-ons?Happy landings...

For those who don't know I found a little utility that allows you to RUN FS2004 on all cores with just a click of a button. Yes that means you no longer need to go into the task manager and set the affinity,by checking the CPU0 CPU1 Check boxes this little utility does it for you. Works on both AMD & Intel Cpu's http://www.mediafire...3cshc8hlz03rvc5 You verify if its working by viewing your TASK Manager and clicking on the Performance tab. I think FS9 Actually runs best using one core but for those who likes using multicore then this is for you. B)

I have upload 3 packages to the FS2004 library; the XP47H, the XP47J, and the XP-72 Republic experimentals. The FS9 packages work well in FSX too with the provided texture updates. Each package has several models and many textures to select from. These aircraft have top speeds of 490 to 505 MPH ground speed at critical altitude. I downloaded the new Campbell River scenery made by Don Grovestine (cybl_202.zip) and I have a problem with it and I am hoping someone can help. During dusk, dawn, and night the scenery crashes. Anytime during the day everything works fine. I had his pervious version installed and I did not have any problems at all. Everything works fine with the default scenery too. Any ideas what could be wrong??

I just installed W7 x64 Home Premium on a new partition after a full format. I then installed the current Nvidia drivers for my GTX216 graphics card (CPU Q9650, 4GB DDR2). Next, I did a clean install of FS9 on a dedicated partition H using original disks. (Full format of this partition before). I ran FS2004 at KSEA with the default Cessna to check the version - 9.0. When I clicked on View menu with my mouse (Razer Death Adder) I got weird results. Instead of Spot View I got a cockpit view which looked out over the countryside instead of down the runway. None of the views worked correctly. To cut a long story short I ended up uninstalling FS2004. I did another ful…

I remember there used to be a guage that would call the ref speeds (V1, Vref, V2) based on what values you'd input. As simple as that. Couldn't find in the library... Maybe victim of the hack some time ago? Anyone can help? Thanks Ghiom

Hello Dear AVSIM community It appear somehow that i can not create a topic in the pmdg forum. I have been using the PMDG 747-400 on FS9 in Windows XP for a long time now and i just got also a nice keyboard to use in my sim. I face a problem that when I try to input the R4 key ont the KEYBD activated FMC via the F10 key, it does not work. the F10 key seams to simply bring out the menu tab in FS. In fact the F10 key is a "General keyboard shortcuts" (see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/301583#method6 ). Hi Good People, For those that are interested Edward and I have Packaged up Jens B. Kristensen's deHavilland 91 Albatross (with his consent of course) and a small bucket of era specific liveries. As many may know only around 6 Albatross's were every manufactured before deHavilland was required to focus on the Mosquito production for WWII. The Albatross was an outstanding piece of design work for 1938, almost revolutionary in what it delivered as a passenger aircraft in comparision to other developers. Hi Just installed FS9 on a new computer, installed my aircraft, AI, and sceneries....I just noticed that when I pan around the airport from outside the aircraft that I can see some AI aircraft turn upside down and unravel into weird shapes just to snap back to normal when I pan in a different direction. I thought this was just AI till I saw it happen to my payware plane when I was outside my Simmers Sky A319 while taxing. I never had this before and its annoying any ideas as to what might be causing this and how it could be corrected. Thanks for all suggestions and help..........................

When I fly rod machados flight tutorials-I find when I track inbound to a vor with the nav button- the aircraft goes way off course so I end up clicking the hdg button-how do I fix this

I've had this issue for awhile and im not to sure what the cause might be. View My Video This only happens in the Carribean area and occurs on all aircraft.

Does anyone know where I can find good scenery for Lugano and Locarno in Switzerland? I found a company named CR Software that made those sceneries but you can not order them anymore. If you have ai aircraft with ai flight plans (with traffic tools I think) and you are flying your say default or flyable 737 to land- will ai aircraft slow down to let you land if they are behind you. In other words are they programmed to speed up or slow down to allow space for you to fly like in real time operations?

I found a file that clears the VC windows completely for FSX, but I can't find one for FS9. Anybody know if one exist, or if it can be removed manually?

Hello All I have a seven year old PC. It is P4 2.8Ghz/ 2GB ram /Gforce 6600 agv (500 ram) of a powerhouse. It runs Fs9 very well. I have seventeen inch monitor running at 1280*1024 red.(the Max). Alright! No sniggering at the back. I nearly bought a new monitor this morning,but held back when the shop (Argos)said they would offer no refund if said monitor would not function with my old PC. I recently bought a new HD flat screen TV which can also function as a monitor, this works on my setup but only at a res somewhat higher, but not much more so (sorry can't remember precisely)than my usual 1280*1024 setting . Good morning.Wideview only supports AI traffic synchronisation for it's FSX version. Anyone know of a program that would to this for the FS 2004 version? I don't want to invest in a 8 screen, 4 computer setup if AI is not synchronised....Regards,MarcCYUL

Hi all, Just wondering if the above is achievable, and if so, how? This would be another great way to reduce the pile-ups, especially at busy airports. I already use AI Smooth and AI Separator, which have greatly reduced the go-arounds. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Regards, J.C.

With all of the D-Day commemorations recently, I began searching the web for 1940's vintage British airfields from which to operate C-47's. It was a short search, as I found none. Perhaps some of the default fields are primitive enough to represent that era? If you know of any, please share with us.

Hi Good People, Edward and I are considering adding a new "Support" aircraft for use in the Ford Tri-Motor Project. The FS2004 De Havilland DH.91 Albatross by Jens B. Kristensen. This aircraft fits within our era specific range and would be a great addition to the overall impact of the Ford Tri-Motor Project. Hello Was wondering if anyone has the Avanti II from Wilco. In both 2D panel and VC I do not have an autopilot button and course selector 2 button. They are simply missing and there also isn't a mouse click spot for them. The panel file states that there should be one.... The developer team doesn't exist anymore (although Wilco still sells that product) and there will be no update of fix or anything. Just wondering if I am alone with this problem.... Martin

Hello Guys, I installed the PSS 777 after a fresh install of Windows 7 and a fresh install also of Flight Simulator 9, When I entered Load Config in PSS Folder, I select the passengers, the cargo & the fuel and clicked save config, then I opened FS9 and chose the 777 and I found that the payload (Passengers & Cargo) are correct but The fuel always stick to 100% at all times, I tried to install a fresh copy of windows and fs9 and still the same problem ( it is also for pss 757 ),, If any one knows how to solve this problem please reply to the post. Today I downloaded a freeware airport to UBW/PAKU, (Ugnu - Kuparuk ). This is on the North Slope of Alaska After noting that it only had one hangar and nothing else except a runway I decided to download a truck library (ford_transit_collection.zip) from AVSIM. I have done a fair amount of airport and aircraft addons but never a truck library. Well, I guess I am no good at that because now when I start my simulator I get hit with 55 different dialog windows stating "Scenery.confg File Error.Local Scenery Directory (Orlando2008_LC\Scenery) in Scenery area .038 not found. Click ok to continue" when I click ok another one comes up for 55 different airports one after…

Is it possible? Namely changing aircraft. I really want to update the Monarch and Thomson liveries (they're still called Thomsonfly!) plus add the Jet2 Holidays/Allegiant livery to the Jet2 aircraft. Just basically touch up a couple of airlines and make their liveries up to date without having to replace I actually have a few AI packages which include the new liveries for Monarch and Thomson, so would it be as simple as just replacing the textures? If I overwrote the old texture with the new one, would things such as the aircraft sizes for both AI models being slightly different have a bearing on such a thing? And I also have a few models in the Jet2 Holidays livery, …
