Hi guys! I'm new here. Honestly, I'm not really good in english. I hope you guys can understand me. I love aviation since I was young. But I don't know the existence of MSFS until one day my friend's tell me about it. I get interested and already tried the FSX demo. But I thought FS9 will be better for me as my computer are not a very powerful machine. But before I bought FS9 from the shop, can someone please tell me the default scenery coverage on FS9. Does the default scenery covering Asia?

  4. I have FS9 and FSX on the same computer and want to remove FS9. I never fly FS9 anymore. Has anyone else already done this with success so FSX isn't damaged? My thought is they are completely different installations so removing one shouldn't effect the other. The removal process steps I'm planning are: 1 Removing USA roads 2 Removing ActiveSky version 6. 3 Removing addon planes 2004 versions 4 Removing FS9 Does this look like the correct process? Anything I may be missing?

Recently,I've seen a very interesting photo from FSAqui's blog http://fsaqui.blogspot.kr/2012/07/mega-merge-boeing-777-fs2004.html On the first pic of the page(JAL 773) It shows a enormous size of a wing vortex So I tried to find a effect which looks like that, but there wasn't. What I wan to ask you is two First,Is that photo just a composition?or the real effect for FS2004? Second,If that's an effect exists for FS9 then where I can find them? Thanks

Greetings, Just installed Windows 7 32 bit on my 10 year old rig: Pentium D 930 3 GHZ Asus 9500 GT 1 GB DDR2 4 GB DDR2 Everything is chugging along nicely, except for a few problems within FS9. Before I start i just want to say that all drivers have been updated, and I even loaded older drivers for my video card that I was using in Windows XP to see if it helped with problems within FS9. Now for the problem(s) some of the gauges don't load, or they do load...but end up crashing/freezing FS9. The gauges that are wrecking havoc are the ones for the Stratojet Excalibur...EICAS, and Mini-Display. Has anybody else had any issues with these gauges or others??? I have ra…

Several months ago I purchased Prepared3D V2. Academic Licence version since I am studying for PPL. Tonight I installed V2.2. Nirvana. I have never been a fan of the incomplete and buggy FSX. And while I purchased a full set of ORBX sceneries and airports for Australia I had rarely flown in it and subsequently removed it entirely once starting to fly airliners more or less exclusively in FS9. P3D intrigued me since Lockheed Martin were actually developing it. The sim was not set in stone as was FSX. The proof of the pudding was tonight. I flew west from my home airport, YBNA, Ballina (Ant's rendition is fabulous) north coast NSW in A2A's Cessna 172 reg.…

Hi there, does anyone have experience running FS 2004 on a MacBook Air 2011 (i5 3317U 1.7 GHZ with Turbo to 2.4GHZ, Intel HD 4000, 4 GB RAM)? If so, how does it run, especially with Addons such as the iFly and FSGRW? Cheers

Ok so I've downloaded bmp2dxt3.bat from the library, thing is For AI traffic although converting to DXT3 keeps my textures from turning grey in certain airports at times notice a slight jitter when flying around the airport with AI so i ve heard that DXT1 no Mips are best i cant find a bmp2dxt1.bat so i opened the bmp2dxt3.bat with notepad then changed the command within the Bat file to read [imagetool -dxt1 -nomip -r *.bmp} then Resaving the .txt into a ,bat would this now convert my textures into DXT1 instead of DXT3?

Hey guys, I probably should post this in the PSS forum but I would think that's as dead as a doornail. Does anyone have the blank template (there never was a paint kit) for the PSS Dash 8? I used to have it but through some re-installs I lost it. It used to be here on AVSIM but was not re-uploaded and I've looked EVERYWHERE. Thanks for any help. Please ignore......... Edit: by chance i stumbled upon a treasure trove of old PSS user edit stuff that was in a category I wasn't even looking for.

Hi to all, Not that it is something I plan to do, but, when attempting a landing in some user defended, nigh hurricane weather, I crashed. Normally this means you hit the ground and and a green bar comes across the top of the screen saying crash, then restarts. Mine seems to go underground, spin around uncontrollably, then throws you high up into the sky spinning, you then have to manually end the flight or it carries on and on. Anyone know why this could be, it's got me stumped. I have tested this with add on aircraft and stock aircraft, and has the same results. Peter

I am more or less happy with display settings in fs9. I've had been running the sim since it came out. Like most people I've upgraded my system since then- at least three times. So while most of us complained about graphic performance when fs9 came out, everyone is equipped now to run it with high settings. Except one feature- sight distance (Settings-Display-Weather- sight distance). I've experimented with this, from 70 miles to 130. But when I look at the scenery outside the cockpit, or in spot view, it doesn't make much of a difference. Here is what I do: In Scenery, I choose Medium high, then go to Weather and play around wuth varying sight distances. Stil…

I purchased the PMDG 747-400: Queen of the Skies package in September 2005 and have also updated it last year. I am upgrading to Windows 7, but due to costs I can only do it in phases. Therefore, I will be purchasing FSX a bit later on, as well as the PMDG Extended download. But in the mean time, will my current PMDG packages still function with FS9 if I upgrade to Windows 7? Could you please assist?

  14. Hi, I having a problem with my Microsoft SideWinder Force Feedback 2. When I press buttons 3 or 4, which are the trim controls, the trim indicator starts to move on its own and will not stay where I want it. It's either all the way to one end. I was flying the Cessna 172 and when I brought up the radio stack, I noticed that the auto-pilot was turned on or engaged, and that seems to explain why the indicator was moving on its own so I turned off or disengaged the auto-pilot. When I press the buttons 3 or 4 again, the auto-pilot also re-engaged. For some reason, buttons 3 and 4 are performing 2 functions at the same time and I can't understand why. I checked the assignments…

I found that FSX was not performing at an acceptable level on my computer, so i decided to install fs2004.However, the installation seems to hang at 16% (it stayed there for a half-hour) even though task manager showed that the installer was responding. I am running to 32-bit version of Windows . Is there any way to fix this?

Hi Avsimmers, don't know exactly if I'm at the right pace for my topic. But maybe anyone can be of some help. I decided to boost up my XP pro sp3/32 bit, with FS9.1 running on it. So now I have an SSD(250 Gb) for XP pro/Gigabyte H77 D3H/4x1 Gb RAM[patched], 1333Mhz/ intel i7 3770 s 1155/500Gb 2nd drive for fs9.1 For graphics I choose Msi GTX 760 twinfrozr gaming. Updated Bios, updated graphic drivers. So far so good. After installing FS9.1 I get a weird graphic problem, i.e. the textures on the aircraft show different brighness, sometimes the belly, sometime the door. The C172 shows a very [too] bright white door on the left side -just the door, the rest is normal…

Right basically my knowledge of installing is AI is at a minimal. Using WoAI installer is about as far as it goes. I've tried using the various tools to install them (TTools and AIFlightPlanner) but nothing seems to be working. I think the problem lies with the aircraft not being installed properly and therefore the flight plan not picking them up properly. I don't want to fly with these old Summer 08 flight plans and have downloaded the newer ones. I have read readme's and none of them seem to be clear enough on what to do. Would it be possible to give me a rather simple guide on what to do? Thanks, Greg

Hi everyone. I have encountered a massive problem with FS which makes it completely unusable for me and I really hope someone reading this will have an answer and thank you all for taking the time to have a look anyhoo. Basically whichever a/c I select to "fly now" the only control I have is the elevator. Throttles, ailerons and rudder act as if they are receiving hundreds of different inputs a second and are "fluttery". I've tried two controllers (Microsoft Sidewinder FFB2 and the Speedlink Black Widow) both with exactly the same issue so I'm deducing the problem's with FS2004... I was running FS2004 with the add-ons: Air Hauler, Airline Pilot, the Just Flight Dash…

Hi all, Do FS9 AI aircraft ignore the sound folder ?? I have been puling my hair out over this all day, checked all the file names etc etc, tryed "alias" sound config files.......... I have Tornado fighter jets sounding like a 747 and chinook's sounding like a Dash 8 out of Southampton?? Doesn't seem to mater what i do, the sound folder has nice afterburning noises, the plane in FS9 goes "whinnnneing past" like it has turbo fans??? And the Chinnok ..... well i just laughed at that. Am i missing something REALLY obvious here?? Can anyone stop me going bald ???? Thanks in advance Peter

  24. Hello there, Just wondering if anyone of you have ever used any ai 'add' ons with squawkbox on VATSIM? I would love to add ai traffic to my VATSIM skies as i use contrailpro and still the skies look bland and bare (no contrails and no flashing strobes from other aircraft at night) I mainly fly out of one airport (EGKK) so what i could do is go into the tfc cfg's. and tweak about with the schedules of the ai traffic so they don't conflict with any ground maneuvering operations at EGKK whilst logged into sb. As i said i just want the skies to look a bit more 'lively' as opposed to making the ground 'lively' at airports. Anyone know if Ultimate traffic c…

The pressurization system in the carenado c90b does not seem to work like the real thing, I looked at a tutorial online for operating the pressurization system in a real king air and the carenado version does not seem work like the real thing at all. For instance the carenado versions cabin rate of climb decent knob works in feet per minute while the real thing is an adjustment for how fast the cabin descends or climbs in relation to the aircraft. From what I have gathered if you are flying at 20000 feet but your cabin altitude is at 10000 feet(for easy math this is obviously way too high) the pilot would usually have the cabin altitude descend at half the rate of the air…
