Hi all, My son wanted me to build him an airport that runs through our back garden (he's 10). I have figured out all the exclusion and background polys, i can make the runways etc with ADE9, but buildings im stuck with. Is it possible to move or copy an airport & buildings, then place it where i want??? Many thanks Peter

Hi all.Just tried my recently purchased scenery.Only to find in spot view that my planes, default or 3rd Party have sunk up to their fuselage.On doing a Google search I see that this was a problem back in 2010, does anyone know of a fix for this?JohnT

Hi, What is the main culprit in fs9 that causes trees/buildings to shimmer. Every slider I have is to the full right. Jon

Hi All, Not sure if this is the right place to post this question but it said "Please post all of your FS2004 questions and input here." on the room title. My PC crashed and burned recently and I decided against building this time an purchased a laptop with on board graphics as well as a Geforce 745M and returned to FS 2004 ACOF. I have the Nvidia Control Panel configured for FS9 to use the Nvidia card but it doesn't show up in the Hardware section of FS9. Any ideas? Thanks Craig Evans

My joystick a saitek av8r will not stay calibrated in fs9 but works ok in the Xplane 10 demo, I cant get it to calibrate right unless I unplug the joystick and restart the computer but the x axis always drifts to the side after flying for a while, some times it gets out of whack in less than 20 min and other times it will be ok for a few days. My saitek cessna proflight rudder pedals don't have any issues though they are a lot higher quality hardware, I am planning on getting a new yoke or joystick but I don't have the money now so I want to make this piece of junk survive a little longer so any suggestions?

Hello, Can someone on this forum tell me if Editvoicepack 3.1 is compatable with Windows Vista Home Premium (64bit). I use FS9 and have had EVP on my computer in the past but am having trouble installing it now. I have .Net Framework v3.5, SP1. You have to admit EVP 3.1 is 10 years old. Any help is preciated. Mike

I'm Looking for some Fair to good quality Carriers and Navy Ships for FS9, I've seen a couple but just wondered if anyone has any suggestions B)

I have the old Igfly scenery for Moscow Domodedeovo airport and I would like to know if that scenery had any landclass files with it? I do not remember if the old scenery had landclass files or not and I have a newer scenery for UUDD that does have landclass files. I don't want my sim to crash because of conflicting landclass files. I usually put my landclass files in the FS9 scenery\base folder and there is no file with the name Moscow or UUDD in there. So I am not sure if any of the files in there are for the old Igly scenery or not.

Hello Guys, This has been done before but I just cant seem to find a definite Answer on how its done. Id like to Simulate a water landing similar to the one performed in Flight 1549 in the Hudson River, thing is i'm not sure what entry needs to be made to the Aircraft.Cfg file to get an Aircraft to actually float on the water. I have a freeware Aircraft, (Airbus) id like to try this on, any suggestions?

I recently reinstalled FS 2004 (FS9), which I had not been using for three years. I went to the Learning Center where you can read up on the instrumentation and watch videos. When I start, in any section, after a few seconds watching a video, the program crashes to the desktop. Has anyone had this problem and discovered a fix? I would appreciate knowing how I can resolve this problem. Thanks to anyone who can offer a solution or suggestion I can try. kh63

Hi I'm not sure if anyone can help but some of my addons, mainly freeware have runway lights that only appear when you are less than a mile away in a gradual way. So basically when I'm landing I may not see any lights at night but when I get very close they start appearing. They switch on from the front and gradually make their way back up the runway. It could be the addon doing that or something I need to do, graphic wise. I hope this makes sense, but any ideas? Thanks

I have a version of a SAAB 340 which at full throttle in level flight refuses to travel faster than around 180KIAS. I can't see any problems in the aircraft.cfg file: [Reference Speeds] flaps_up_stall_speed=110.0 //Knots True (KTAS) full_flaps_stall_speed=140.8 //Knots True (KTAS) cruise_speed=300.0 //Knots True (KTAS) max_mach = 0.58 max_indicated_speed = 293 //Red line (KIAS) and the Vmo in the .air file is at 265, so a faster speed than I am getting has been anticipated.. I don't want to mess with thrust settings in the aircraft.cfg file as the plane is more than 'racy' enough when taxiing. Thanks, Martin

If anyone buys and flies the new Eaglesoft Citation X 2.0, please let me know your impressions as regards to frame rate, fluidness and how the FDE handles. I read there note about the SID/STAR deal coming in January. I am wonerding though if the FMC will take manually inputed waypoints for sid/stars though. I hope to get my hands on her by tomorrow night! As well, in the documentation, can someone let me know if they included a tutorial flight? Thanks.

I purchased this scenery a few days ago and I'm experiencing the worst performance I've ever had in FS9. Here are the issues I run into when using it... -Very bad stutters, even from far away. As soon as the autogen from the add on become visible, the stutters start to kick in. -Long lag. Along with the stutters, there is this long lag that would last about half a second and it keeps happening, especially when I'm flying over the scenery. -OOM. I couldn't believe it. I was coming in for approach using the PMDG MD-11 and BAM! My first OOM in FS9. I ran the DXT fixer but there was no missing alpha channel on this scenery. I really don't know what's causing thi…

After having some good success recently doing some Panel merges with both the TDS 737-700 (Paul Scarratt) and the 787 (Hudetz/ Mitchell), it got me to thinking... Do y'all have a favorite airplane that you've 'tweaked' by adding a Panel from the Library, or found an awesome Sound pack somewhere and added it to your bird? Or maybe you've fiddled around with the Aircraft.cfg, or added a couple extra lights for that personal touch? A livery from one Model to another, perhaps? Hi guys. A issue that bothered me for a long time now. When playing fs9 i always have a little white border around my fs screen Heres a picture You can see it here on top and on the left. Any ideas how i can solve it?

Hello All I have been thinking of purchasing Fsps. At the moment I employ the x,y coord ,re-load aircraft ,have a look ,try again till right mode.This does work ,but is incredibly long winded and slow (especially if you use a lot of third party gauges, which I do).Anyways!I have downloaded the free FSPS user manual and had cursory look.It rather daunting.Is FSPS fairly easy to get the old noodle around,or does it require near Eintsteinian grey matter? User friendly or not?It does look as though this prog potentially could be extremely useful and probably fun as well.I just don't do Einsteinian .How is it guys.Cheers Socks.

What I would like to know is if fs9 treats cfg entries the same as fsx, for example if I take the flight tuning, contact points, engine data, and airplane geometry from an fsx plane's cfg and put it in an fs9 planes cfg replacing the old entries would it behave like it did in fsx?

I'm still new to fs9, but have been pulling here out trying to follow online tutorials for adding satellite imagery to fs9. Can anyone point me in the direction of a simply explained tutorial or can someone on here explain the software needed and the process? Many thanks in advance
