I downloaded this aircraft and it seems even with all 3 Service packs installed Its quite Buggy. Nothing seems to work as it should.........

Hi, I am about to move abroad again (for work). I'll be there for some years I think and I don't (for various reasons) want to ship my main (Flightsim) PC over when I go, so, as I don't want to be without FS entirely, I am going to use one of my laptops to fly FS9 (a Dell XPS M1730: it runs FS9 pretty well. it has Windows XP 64-bit on it, 2GB of RAM and Intel CPU at 2.2GHz. It only has USB2, not USB3, sadly). A bit pathetic by modern standards, but I get 30fps easily in most scenarios). However, it only has a 200GB HDD (c.185GBs effective space) and will not hold all my FS stuff including FSGenesis mesh etc., so I am wondering what parts of my FS setup I can run f…

Hello I try here too to get some ideas what to do. Flight1 is kind of slow in getting back to me. And Qualitywings is only represented through Flight1 it seems. I bought, installed the 146 collection. Then starting the FS9 (of course 9.1) in the midst of loading CTD no error message. I retried, same result. I restarted PC retried, same result. I uninstalled the Collection retried, same result. Then I found that FSUIPC was suddenly missing after deinstallation. Very odd. Reinstalled FSUIPC (ver 3.9999) restarted FS9 and it works fine again. Hi, I guess there must be at least one guide to effectively add scenery to FS2004, where is it? When trying to add a scenery, I download the zip file, unzip it into Addon Scenery folder, then I start FS2004, then Settings, Scenery Library, Add Area, navigate the folder, somehow I manage to make it appear first on the list of Scenery Library, priority set to 1,hen I go the place and I see the standard scenery. The new scenery Calcinate_v2, updates the original 2011 Calcinate_v1 (just made for standard FS9 mesh and terrain) with multi-seasons photo-real terrain and West Europe FS9 meshes by Daniele Lanfranchi :italia-flag:. Hi, I had been having problems with FS9 in the last few months, it would not load etc. but on the advice of some of the helpful members of this forum :Peace: I decided to install FS9 into the root directory, everything has been going great with this and all my add on aircraft, scenery and utilities loaded with ease except for 1 program FS CONTRAILS!! I had this program in my previous installation in the default folder for FS9 on windows 7 and it ran just fine, after about 30 attempts to load fs contrails I have had no luck with it. Hi, yesterday I installed Fs9 on Windows XP. The Thing is that when I fly in windowed mode I have 50fps more than in the Fullscreen Does anybody have the same Problems? And how to fix it?

I have been attempting to configure the Various Buttons on my Throttle Quadrant to the Cap Sim 757with FSUIPC, the problem is that the Keyboard Settings within the Sim don't correspond with the equivalent items in the CS 757, the Yoke and Throttles, Spoilers and Flaps, no problem s, same with the Brakes and Rudder, its just the Vnav, Lnav , FMC, etc that are the problem, does anyone know the particular keyboard settings for this Model, in particular for , FD, Auto Throttle Arm, Spoilers arm, QNH and Standard set, Hdng Select , Hdng Hold, Autopilot Cmd C and App,, toggle FMC, Vnav Lnav, TO/GA. …

I've been away from simming for a while and just came back. Nothing has changed in my computer. I loaded Fs9 and then selected a PMDG 737-600. I downloaded a flight plan from simroutes. I was able to get the FMC to recognize the FP and then proceeded to program the FMC. WRONG! It took about 1-2 minutes for every transaction to be loaded. Constant hangs. After 30 minutes, I gave up. I reinstalled the PMDG 737 package to see if that would help. Nope. I can fly the plane without the FMC but thats no fun. What the heck is going on?

More importantly !it has started in FS today.Gone are those grey, white and generally grim textures to replaced by the lush and verdant pastures of old England ,were the sheep doth gambol and frolick amongst the rolling hills and valleys , old farmer Giles quatheth cider whilst surveying the early budding oaks ,he doth basketh in the evening sun that of course never sets upon old blighty and overhead a distant 747 flies apparently silent and of course stutter free amongst the wispiest of cirrus to lands distant....... By eck! must keep of the lager... What this has to do with FS Its Summer time .A good day to fly. Cheers Socks.

Im currently using Alpha-searcher to search for those textures that are missing alpha channels and been using DXTbmp to ad the Alpha channels to those textures that are missing them but applying them one by one its extremely time consuming is there a way to add alpha channels as a batch ??

I have been using this great program for a few years and really dont want to fly without it!! -_- Since a recent reinstall of FS9 I am slowly reinstalling my many add ons. I am having problems with contrails pro. I have downloaded the most recent program and it seems to go into FS9 ok but when I enable it in the modules folder on screen and start using FS9 all I am getting is the default FS9 contrails that are solid white and look terrible :( I have been on the developers forum flightsim tools but really not getting any result with this one. Can anyone help or any ideas on how to resolve this would be great :Idea: Thanks, Gary

This scenery has been out for quite some time. Has anyone been able to make a crosswind afcad to make AI traffic take off on the 1s and land on the 28s like what was done with the Flytampa SFO scenery? I have tried but without success. Its very unrealistic to see a line of 40+ aircraft going to 28L for takeoff never getting takeoff clearance because of the landing traffic inbound.

I know with fsx that pdmg wins hands down in every area except for price, because it has superior systems modeling, visual appearance, flight model and sounds. But what about fs9? I know that pdmgs 737 for fs9 is older so it does not look as good as the Ifly 737 and pdmg does not support fs9 anymore, but is the pdmg still superior to the ifly as far as flight model, sounds and system modeling goes? I would care more about realism than visual appearance. A list of what each of these have and do not have and pros and cons of each would be helpful.

Hi everybody I've replaced the motherboard in my PC, all other components the same. Now, FS9 is freezing with the 'FS9 has stopped working' message, but no more info is forthcoming. My FS9 is pretty pimped out, with all the usual heavy metal addons (PMDG, LDS, etc) and a couple hundred payware sceneries, plus a bunch of payware GA addons that I really don't want to reinstall if I can manage it. But I'm guessing I'm going to have to reinstall the lot, aren't I? I had to ring MS to re-activate Win7, and I've got a horrible feeling some of the payware isn't happy now, either. :Nail Biting: Anyone got any advice before 'The Great Rebuild of 2014' commences? …

I Got the upgrade for the default fs2004 c172 by realair and I used the flight model based cfg entries and the air file for my carenado c172n, anyways it seems to spin and slip realistically in my opinion but I have never done either myself because I have only got about an hour of flight time in a real c172, and it took a surprisingly small amount of rudder to keep the airplane coordinated. But I have noticed that it takes a ridiculous amount of rudder to stay coordinated in a turn with realairs flight model and is hard to keep coordinated, which seems very unrealistic. I use saitek cessna pro flight rudder pedals so my rudder control in the sim is not an issue. Is their…

There are some Utilities for FSX can do such practice (fstakeofftrainer10,FSiPanel,ect..),by simconnect and some of the addon aircraft for FS9 too(PMDG,LDS,ect..) I wander if there is any Utilities for FS9 to fail one for the engine when hit a per-set IAS, use FS9's own failure system or FSUIPC?

When I just stick to external view(s) and 2d-Cockpit, my average FPS stays way up there, between 40 and 60. However, whenever I go into Virtual Cockpit View, my FPS average goes down to about 20 to 35, and stays there for all other views (tower, external, 2D-cockpit). If I... - press the Alt-key real quick in external view, like chase view, or, - do a right-mouse-key press in external/chase-view and then press the left-mouse-key real quick, ....either of these acts like a kind of "reset" for the FPS-average, and it goes back up to 40/60. Basically, I have to completely avoid Virtual Cockpit if I don't want to kill my FPS rate. Any of you experience this…

I'm trying to install another (a second) copy of FS9 on my hard drive. Using Win8, I havent had too many issues, but when I pop in disc 1, I only have the options to 1. Run FS9 and exit setup, or 2. Uninstall current copy. How/where do you install a second copy? My current one is not in C: but in a folder on my desktop. I need a version without all of the addons for testing and such. Thanks.

It's great to see that Aerosoft have released what looks like terrific scenery for Dublin airport!! But it is only for fsx and not for fs9 here's hoping they do an fs9 version sometime soon.

I just purchased this and when I go to my download page in my simmarket account, There are two files for this aircraft. Same product ID, size (46.18mb), and file name for both. I'm a little confused. Is one newer than the other or are they both exactly the same?

Hi, Does anyone know the name of the program that handles AI traffic? I have recently got back to FS9 and I am keen to fly into busy airports like London Heathrow, I used to use a little freeware program that slowed AI traffic down but i forget the name of it. Does anyone know? Thanks
