Hi Folks. Can anyone recommend a good aircraft that has a good working FMC included please? I already have 737 Pilot In Command, but looking for others. Does not have to be 737 - any suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance.

Dear Simmers, Today I noticed a very strange problem in FS9. I recently purchased Mega Airport LIRF and so before installing it I disabled the ISD Scenery from fs9. However Today I noticed that the ISD scenery was still active ( and also I had the MA installed) so I just deleted all the ISD files manually so it won't conflict, however strangely enough even though I uninstalled Mega Arport LIRF the ISD Scenery was still active on fs. I'm going nuts as I really can't understand how this is happening! I would appreciate all your help guys! Thanks Justin

Hi all right where to start I run fs9 as part of my home cockpit it seems every time I have it running right and add some new toys to it something goes wrong :-) Just recently fs9 has been running great I use the wilco 737 and run 2 LCD and 3 CRT monitors as part of my set up, 2 outside views and 3 as the mip running the gauges behind the mip panel, I was recently lucky enough to have purchased a real 737-300 throttle to convert to sim use and this is where the add new toys and something goes wrong comes in, two of the CRT monitors blowed which wasn't the end off the world so I replaced them with 3 LCD ones to run the gauges behind the mip, since then I have hit all so…

Hi All ,here is my question .... Im running VASFMC 2.1 a Registered version of FSUIPC 3.75 { a little old I know } FS 9 trying to set up the IFDG A320 with VASFMC I also use two Saitek Throttle Quads heres the problem ..... when selecting Aibus A/THR in the settings of VAS my throttles rocket up to 50% N1 when I turn Airbus A/THR off I can get it back down to idle this happens all the time so I cant use the airbus A Thr which is a real shame as it adds a more realistic throttle control for flying an airbus .... can anyone please help ??CheersAndrew

Hi guys, Just a quick question about the POSKY CRJ-700 FDE. Many years ago, when Project Opensky still had their website and forum up and running and you could get support from them, they published a tweak to the FDE of the -700 to stop it form porpoising above 200 ktas. It also porpoises when performing any kind of turn using autopilot. The autopilot tries, but is never able to catch up to the airplane, jamming the trim up and down until I disengage it and fly by hand. Hi Folks. Trying here just in case someone can help. When using FS2004 "737 Pilot In Command"'s FMS, does anyone know how the functions "co route" and "route <save" work please? - "co route" appears to allow the setting up of routes under specific names, but cannot work out how to save a route with a "co route" name, and then how to load it? - I cannot work out where "route <save" saves to, or if its even saving? I am using FS2004 under Win7Pro. I see no errors in FS2004 or 737PIC & its FMS, and am sure its a simple case of understanding how it works. Any ideas welcome. Thanks in advance.

Hello Tried this in the hardware forum ,but no takers. It is indirectly a fs2004 question so I will risk a court martial and try it here. I recently exchanged my cnm touchpad for a nook HD tablet.This tablet is excellent but for one thing ,no USB port.If I want to add a mouse (I most bloomin do sir!) I have to use Bluetooth. My first attempt failed (Texet mouse) would not pair. Does anybody here at avsim towers use a nook with a bluetooth mouse? And if so what make is that mouse?. If no one here uses the nook then at least a list of Bluetooth mice that work with Android (4.0.4) tablets (or any android tablet) Anyways cheers to all Andy

Hello All... Here's an odd one. I recently re-installed FS9 in: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9... I open it, I add scenery, I create free flights, no problems.. I tried to enter (out of interest) 'Flying Lessons,' 'Century of Flight' & 'Learning Centre' and I'm getting the dreaded message: "This programme Cannot Display the Webpage" (for all of them) Can anyone tell me why please?..I've got FSX and there's no problem there. I've also got FS9 on my 'allowed' list for Firewalls etc...So can'rt be that... This panel worked fine, all flight instruments dark until I turned on the battery. Now the ND stays on even when the battery is off. Any idea why anybody? I back up regularly so tried going back to a panel when it was working, but no change. I reinstalled the a/c afresh (PA a380). But the ND display won't go out. I tried adding this - [electrical] electric_always_available = 0 but still the ND is permanently lit. A small annoyance - but an annoyance even so, especially as it was OK before this afternoon. The only thing I have done is uninstall vasFMC (I couldn't get it to work - the altitude & V/S selectors always switched to zero as I began …

I spent ages setting this up, and it all worked really well - until it came to the time for take-off. I had my flightplan imported and all the FMC screens looked as they should be (I use PMDG 747 FMC a lot so think I know how to set things up - but I did run through the vasFMC docs too). As I began the take-off roll, always disaster: the FD would come on itself and the altitude selector switch itself to zero: nothing would get it to go back to my target altitude. I'd change the dial, turn off FD, turn off A/P, but the altitude selector would instantly go back to 00000. The v/s selector would then go to a negative figure of course and the a/c fall from the skies. I…

I've installed, uninstalled Antilles 2004 3 times and can't seem to get rid of the double coastline issues. Its really frustrating because the scenery looks great...aside from the fact that most island's harbors have the outlines of previous coasts all over the place. Are there default .bgl "tiles" that need to be deactivated in the main Scenery folder? Thanks for any help! It's really annoying. Markus

Does anyone know if there is an a380 panel available which includes the Vertical Display on the ND? Even if it doesn't work fully, just showing the a/c ascent path (I'm not expecting a working weather display!). Martin

Today I bought P3Dv2. I HATED FSX because to run it with acceptable frames one had to turn off shadows ... so much for "as real as it gets." And then developers started transferring that FSX weakness into their FS9 ports. Yuk! Today I purchased P3Dv2. I do intend to use it as per the academic licence and will shortly purchase A2A's Cessna 172 which is similar to the training aircraft here at Ballina airport. Now I will continue to run my beloved FS9 until hell freezes over BUT one advantage P3Dv2 immediately has over that sim is controllable shadows. Glorious shadows of trees even. We are getting closer ...

Ooops - more haste, less speed; sorry, it's not the PA version, it is the one downloaded with the file a388abus.zip in the AVSIM library!! I notice in the Fuel & payload settings that the CoG is right on the nose, no matter how I change the fuel balance. There is only one load entry, but changing that doesn't help either. I haven't actually tried flying the aircraft yet, so don't know if it going to have problems because of this - I can't see any other comments about this here, or when I Googled either, but does anyone else who has this aircraft see the same thing? Hello, my name is Renato Lazzari, am 55 years old and I am beginner with FS and even more with AFCad221. I would like to remove buildings and a water reservoir that appear on an airport runway, as seen in the picture I attached here. I think of "cementing" the whole area around the airport. Or you could create a file, I see in other airports, called "exclude" - is it for this that these "exclude" serve? -, since these buildings seem to be the default FS9 and not "leave" the runway nor putting the scenario (AF2_SDTK.BLG, which I can't upload here but I can send if it helps) first in the scenery settings. Hello to all intending to edit sunset or sky textures You can do this on your own. But to be honest: You’ll spend a lot of time if you want to see reasonable results. I think a basic software for doing this nearly unlimited is Paint.NET – you can download it for free. Being in it you’ll have a lot of possibilities in editing sky textures. In fs9 they’re all 24 bit-textures and 32 x 32 pixels in size – so be sure to save them in the same format. I downloaded alphasims freeware Cessna 170b for fs2004 a few months ago and its pretty nice for freeware except does not handle like a taildragger on the ground, the c170 turns slower than even tricycle gear general aviation aircraft and I mean painfully slow and I can give it full left or right rudder while on a takeoff run and it will just slide and barely turn? I would imagine it should handle on the ground more like the default j-3 cub except a little more docile? Is there a way to fix this issue because flight tuning adjustments have a very small effect on ground handling. It didn't spin either but the flight tuning adjustments fixed that. When I fly along the east coast around Nottingham Md FS either crash or freezes, I have UT and have disabled it but still no luck I did have Traffic 2005 but I deleated it When it crashed I had the following errors fs9.cfg.txt dxdiag.xml scenery.cfg It does fine elsewhere else any clue as to why in the one isolated location? I do not have duplicate AFCADS for IAD BWI which are clos to this area.

I got Aerosofts San Francisco airport and was flying the approach to rw28R. I had the localizer but no glide slope. Tried a different acft and the same thing. Am I missing something?
