I have always loved AVSIM for it's diversity is everything AI and isn't that artificial intelligence basically tarmac aircraft!!!! HELP I had a stroke a little while back and it took me some time to get back in!!! :unsure: :blush:

Seems I've been inactive over at the Eaglesoft forums and can no longer log in. Your site says contact a board admin, but you can't do that with out logging in. LOL Kind of an oximoron. Anyway, what can we do to fix this.Thanks, Dan

Hello My FS9 sometimes does not load scenery and textures and have this strange screen. I am sure it is not the case of just missing textures since I checked the scenery and AI textures and it´s not missing anything. It´s a case of textures and scenery not loading, but do not know why. Hi, I download demo version of FsCaptain for FS9. I already have FSpassengers I like it too. But I think FsCaptain have better realism. So if I purchase FsCaptain, Fspassengers is going where all other deleted bytes go. :biggrin: But I have some questions for FsCaptain users. I have been searhing for two days then I decide to join the Avsim. I like to plan my own flights but I can't figure out how to do it with FsCaptain. Is it possible ? When I using Fspassengers I can fly 2-3 flights in a row without ending flight. Fspassengers can change flight id without ending flight or using aircraft selection menu. Is anyone else having issues with their lack of support? I purchased this scenery when it first came out and was fairly impressed. Unfortunately needed to reinstall my system and when I tried to reinstall the scenery was informed nor record of serial number. According to the vendors, Simmarket, it needs reactivation. This despite the fact its only been installed once. I sent an email requesting this to AMS on the 27th November and to date have received no reply or acknowledgement whatsoever. To anyone else thinking of purchasing this just beware that they seem to be one of those rarities in the flightsim world who take your money and run. Sorry to be so negati…

Another problem with my FS :( :( I just recognized that on FS standard airports the runway textures are missing. They are simply white with the runway markings. That also appears on sceneries using the FS default textures. Does someone can provide these speical texture or know where (on which of the 4 CD's) I can found the texture? That's how it looks at night. It only appears on airports using the default things. No other airports is in any way effected. Anyway how to fix that? As some pay/freeware addons are using the FS runways and so it's horrible to fly.

The Eaglesoft Citation X, V1 will not fly satisfactory on my new computer with Windows 7 ( 64 bit). It hangs up VERY often ! ) I've tried to fix but it but have not been able to so. Too bad, it was one of my favorite Fs2004 Aircraft. Could someone suggest a good replacement for this aircraft that will fly satisfactory on Windows 7 (64 bit). Thanks jerrycwo4

Hi, I wasn't for sure if I should post my question here or at the hardware's thread. But anyway, here's my question. I have the Nvidia G Force 520 graphics card. In Flight Simulator 2004, I checked the box that says, Extended Terrain Textures, but it's not extending the details of the tarrain and looks exactly the same. In the Nvidia Control Panel, it's set to the default and the option is Let the 3D Application Decide. With this setting, I assume this means that the settings in the graphics card has no affect and it will allow the simulator to decide on the graphics. Am I not correct? But when I make this change in flight simulator, there's no improvement in the detail …

Anyone know why when I use the F2 key to reverse thrust it cycles on and off. Does it on all my aircraft. I have a Saitek X52 joystick set up.

Since today I have the error message above or seen below in the picture. I did my last flight yesterday without problems. And today after work I started my PC and then after I wanted to start my Fs that message came up. Also a reboot of the PC did not fix the problem. Hello all, I had the SkySpirit Merge with the -8I version installed which is available at flightsim.com. At all it works fine till the point where you need to use brakes. The brakesystem is not working and so it's not flyable. I heard that in the -F version that problem is not existing as this merge uses the Posky model. But I can't find the merge... Is there a fully working 747-8I merge with the PMDG panel? Where can I get the merge for the 747-8F merge? Thanks guys and nice rest of the weekend Regards

When landing in a commercial jet - say B737 or or A330... at a medium or large airport, it seems to me that ATC nearly always chooses to send me to a small GA parking spot to sit with all the little Cessnas somewhere round the back of the airport, rather than to an appropriate gate - even (I do check for this) when plenty of the latter are free. I use PFE for ATC, but I don't think that has anything to do with this issue, does it? This happened long before I changed from default FS9 ATC. I downloaded the FSDreamTeam KORD scenery. Its a good scenery but the taxiway are real blurry. The only way to follow them is watch the line it look like progressive taxi without the pink color any thoughts on this?

Hi Guys,Hope you can help. I recently had to reestablish the FS9 path recognition into the registry with the help of the FS9 path restore utility. Everthing seems to be ok except I have lost the aircraft wingtip nav lights and strobe effects on the wing tips and fusalage. Not sure what happened but have tried everything that I know including a search of forum topics here at Avsim. No luck. Anyone here got any ideas?Thanks

I posted about this quite a while back, with a video, but searching my threads on AVSIM doesn't locate it (odd - maybe it was before the site was hacked??), so I am trying again. When I am on the ground (and also, but a bit less noticeably, in the air) and pan in spot view, quite often whole sets of clouds disappear and reappear as I sweep round. Other sets of clouds are stable, which makes me think they are being generated by different software. I have always had this problem and have never been able to make any difference (by tweaking Active Sky settings and so on). Programmes I have installed that may be relevant (some probably not, but I list them for completeness)…

Hello, It's been a while since I fired up FS9 but today I was planning a flight when I noticed this... :huh: This is near Faro (LPFR). I'm running Ultimate Terrain and Faro 2005 by Aerosoft. Hi all! Iv`e run nvidia inspector and did a few tweaks but the textures still stay grey for some time before surfacing,can any one share their settings with me? I`v also done the ''alfasearcher'' thing but can`t seem to get dxtbump to work on the few textures that need fixing. `I`m running a penitium dual core E6700 @3.2 ghz bumped up to 4ghz,Graphics card G Force 450. I was directed by ATC (I use PFE, but I don't think this issue directly relates to PFE - or does it?? - so I am posting here) to land at KDCA (Cloud9 version) on rwy19. Bit surprised to see an aircraft coming straight at me along rwy01, taking off. Zapped it with said FSUIPC function, but I missed my landing as it happened (forgot to turn A/Thr off!), so went around. Told ATC I had missed approach and was directed back to rwy19. This time I landed just fine - only to see a queue of planes lining up to take off (and then taking off) from rwy01! Don't think I have ever seen this before. What may be wrong do you good folks think? Can't see how that this could be an AFCAD…

I have my fps capped at 60, and the PC achieves this most of the time. But for some years (literally) I have put up with the frame rates suddenly dropping to 3-4 fps for several seconds; troubleshooting it has lead nowhere: I wonder if anyone here has any good ideas? I don't think it's hardware related as I have had FS9 on different machines and had the problem on all of them. It happens every five minutes or so, and seems to occur irrespective of aircraft or region. I don't get it on the ground, only in flight, so maybe it's related to ground texture loading? I have looked at Task manager - no processes suddenly take up resources when this occurs: only FS9.exe is…
