Hello, I was wondering, is there any freeware sounds available for the 787 or 747-8 ? If not, what sounds can use as an alternative for both, of course from what I know the 787 has the PW and GE options.

I wonder if anyone who has a few moments could see what their landclass looks like just south of Lukla airport (see screenshot).Last time I flew there the river valleys didn't look like this (i.e. green!). I have the Aerosoft Lukla scenery installed, but disabling that changes nothing. The sheer mountain sides are also very dark green, instead of rock. I have disabled all my landclass files for the sake of experiment, but the effect is similar: a tiny variation with changes of the season, but basically very similar. I have been to this very spot (trekking of course) and the river valleys are not full of vegetation like this, let alone the vertical mountain slopes!…

Hello everyone, I have this question and I'm dying to get and answer for it. Right now its week 2 of my AI Flightplans updates, I know that some repaints that I insert in my FS9, can cause some serious problems, for now the only problem they cause at some airports, is making all other repaints grey,, like they dont even have textures, as well as some buildings loose textures as you change camera view, eventually the sim might crash too. I want to know, is there a way to find out which of these repaints cause that error ? because finding it manually can take another 2 weeks. Maybe I'm wrong and theres another cause to this, if so, what can it be ?

Hi Folks. Does anybody know why, all of a sudden the runway lights on approach 'flood' the whole runway, so the runway is pretty well obscured. I have the aircraft landing lights on, but I always did before, but the runway wasn't bathed in light like it does now. This happens with all my jets now? Any ideas, has something gone wrong in my FS9 settings somehow? Thanks John

Any one ,I am assigning buttons thru fsuipc everything works fine except, when I restart fs9 some of the buttons are now doing other things, fsuipc changes the assignment.help if you can. Thanks. FS9 ,FSUIPC3.999z8, opencockpit joystick card.

Replaced an aging GTX295 with a GTX670 and the improvements have been excellent except for one graphics issue. I installed the GTX670 with a Nvidia driver version 331.58 and also installed and used Nvidia Inspector. I'm using the same FS9.cfg as before which had some modifications. Prior to the upgrade this graphics issue was not present. In the screenshot the problem can be seen above the vertical speed indicator on the panel. The panel colors do not "blend" together and appear "blotchy". The problem can also be seen below the left MFD. In addition the white and red text is hard to read and not clear. Hi simmers, I recently bought a high end computer (wow) with Windows 8 64 bit. FS 9 works great with all features on with 60 to 80 fps. However in full screen mode, I have no airplane picture in the set up screen. It appears immy in non full screen mode. Has anyone a clou how to fix this? Happy flying, Eef from the Netherlands

Can anyone give me the steps in sequence for adding an aircraft to the FS9 cfg file in Win8 and saving it. When I try to overwrite the cfg file it will deny me access. Thanks a lot Ed Ryan

Sometimes FS9 decides to switch to 'top-down' view, without (apparently) any input from me. I can't get out of this view then without using the FS menu bar. is it possible to remove this view completely (in the fs9.cfg file???) as I never use it and it is just a nuisance when this happens. Googled it, but no joy... Thanks, Martin

Hello fellow flightsimmers, Joined this forum in order to maybe get a bit of help with a problem I am having with the Project Airbus A320 flight dynamics. I am a long term flight sim user whose flown many different aircraft types over the years and managed to alter the Aircraft CFGs to make the flight experience that much more realistic. This however has me stumped. After downloading the aforementioned aircraft from AVSIM and taking it for a spin I realised the engine performance is very strange. At idle power on the ground the aircraft actually taxies (and can reach a good speed if allowed to go on), I have sorted this out with other aircarft in the past by reduc…

I decided to back up all of my FS9 airplane files in case my computer ever buys the farm. When I loaded the DVD and started the 3 gig burn it told me it was going to take 22 hours. I think I need a better idea. There must be a better way.

Notice the black bar on the bottom of the FS screen. Occasionally this happens and when it does, pressing ALT will not bring up the menu bar at the top (sometimes it might, but it was sort of flicker and then disappear), and nothing happens when I right click. I am able to continue the flight, but can't bring up the menu if I need to. Any idea what would cause this? In this instance I am running an Acars utility for a VA. Not sure if that would have anything to do with it though.

I'm about to install FS2004 on a new 64 bit Win7 system. I backed up all my FS2004 files/folders to an external hard drive from my XP Pro sysem with the idea of, after installing FS2004 on the new system, copying the FS2004 files/folders from the external drive to the new system (turns out my backup software doesn't run on my 64 bit Win7 system). I've got the partitions setup on the hard drives on the new system exactly the same as on the old system. The question is will this work? I've got a ton of aircraft and scenery installed in FS2004 and don't relish the idea of having to reinstall it all from scratch! Would it be a good idea (or a requirment) to re-install any…

Hi I am looking for some help. I have installed Fs2004 on Windows 7 64bit and all is working well apart from the panel of different installed aircraft. When I change altitude, speed etc the panel doesn't move and stick. However the buttons still operate and when I close and reopen the panel it updates itself. Is there a fix for this?

Hi folks after installing the new packages today from the library this weekend I went to check them out and noticed that the AFCADS got messed up the planes at LAX for example and even Denver are parked at the wrong gates and terminals. Any suggestions to get them parked where they should be.. I thought it was just AI planes and flight plans so I was surprised when I saw planes parked at the wrong places. Any suggestions??? Recently I had noticed that when I flew into LAX or ORD, I would suddenly lose textures on ai aircraft and then buildings. If I started the sim at these airports, I would get the same problem, and then FS would hang. After chasing down every possible angle over the course of several days, I have found the problem. Just days before the problem crept up, I had downloaded and installed World of Ai's most recent traffic files for American Airlines. I went into the traffic folder (scenery/world/scenery) and removed the bgl file, and voila! no more lost textures and no more hanging! I'm stumped. I know there are some great minds here that can help me out.. I just transferred FS9 to a new system from XP to Windows 7. Everything else is fine, but for some reason, FlyTampa's Seattle, in the daytime only, crashes FS9 during the "loading scenery" process with an error signature of "stackHash_cbc8", so I know it is not a module error such as a bad texture or afcad. If I de-activate FT KSEA, it loads fine. Also if I load FT KSEA at night, not dawn or dusk, it loads fine. FT KSEA worked flawlessly on my old XP system for 8 years on two XP systems. I just purchased and received FS2004 and want to install it, but as I look over the disks, box (tin) and written installation info, it doesn't say anything about a product key code being required, nor can I find one. Does it not have one for installation?

will it conflict with anything?

Hi guys!!! I simulate too much with FS2004 and a few days ago began to appear a warning of DirectX (image). I already tried several ways to solve but I cant do this. Tried to install again, update the DirectX 9.0, already tried searching the file "fs9.clg" but disappeared from the folder. All without success. I dont understand about it because it never came to happen to me. Dont know if i cant think like boys or have something wrong. I just need your help. Thanks!

Hi, while investigating an OOM, I found missing textures via ProcMon. The names of these texture files are "lightbox3.bmp" and "europier.bmp". I assume that they are part of an object library which was used to make the scenery. Does anybody know where I can get these textures resp. the library they are part of? I downloaded the Eurocopter from Jan de Boer and installed it in FS9 according the instructions in the read me file. The lifeliner heli should be yellow, but apprears grey. Who knows what I schould do to get it Yellow?? I also asked Jan de Boer, but he is not reacting. Thanks in advance for any reaction Best regards, Eef.
