Help!!! I've gotten back into FS9 after a hiatus and now I have this problem. When I go to load the Real-World weather (with or with out updating) I get the following: "Error while downloading Real-World weather. Check internet connection and configuration and try again." The internet connction is good and my firewall is set to allow FS9 access. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I have posted about this in the FSDT forum, but no replies from their support or others thus far. I posted a similar question re. the Cloud9 KLAX (which I also bought this weekend, along with KDCA and the FSDT KORD) and I did get a reply, which basically said that that was why the Cloud9 scenery was cheaper than the FSDT one (which didn't address the question really, to be honest). In any case, maybe someone here (I guess a lot more people come to these forums than FSDT) who has bought the scenery may have some input. As some of you may know, I've switched to REX (FS9) and absolutely think it's one of the best add-ons for FS2004. I'm very happy with what I have and wonder if I should "leave well enough alone", or tackle the installation of Overdrive. Is there really that much difference between what REX has as native versus the Overdrive addition? Thank you.

Hi, I had to change the motherboard on my pc.The computer repair shop had to reinstall windows 7 (which they upgraded from 32 bit to 64). Prior to that I had fs9 installed on D drive, where all the data was stored. This way i figured the os reinstall wouldn't affect the fs software. Well, I ran into a snag. I hit the fs9 exe icon and got a window that says "Bad license for the B767-3oo, FS2004 will now close." So I thought , ok, let's remove the Level d 767 folder and try to run fs9 again. ( I could reinstall that software from scrayct later). But no matter how many times I've tried, I cannot delete it. I managed to delete some folders inside the Level D fo…

I have put up with a very annoying problem for years in which the air traffic controllers stutter a lot while flying ifr. I used to just turn off the sound and used the written instructions. Just recently while preparing to get a new black Friday computer I copied all my fs9 files to a flash drive. I created a new folder on the flash drive called Program Files (x86) then inside that, a Microsoft Games folder , and then just copied the fs9 files into that. Next I renamed the original file ( in the C: drive) fs91 so it would not be used. After doing a fs9 uninstall/reinstall yesterday, the DF 727 was reloaded and ended up getting this. The MS default airplanes look good as well as the DF 2d cockpit. The generators, battery and light switches are all on. I've looked through a couple of forums and can't find a post with a similar problem. Any suggestions? Thank you for any help, Steve

I was curious if anyone has these aircraft flying around in their sims. I've been hunting a few of these down and no site seems to have a download link anywhere. I found screenshots of a few of them but the links have long since passed away. There are some Cathay 747's and one JAL Cargo 747 I'm looking for. The Cathay's are in a package of sorts that include a 747-200, -300, and -400 that work on the AI Aardvark jets. The JAL jet is a standalone - I think. Anyone else sometimes get this? The screenshots show coming into KSFO. Every half-minute or so, the colours of the landscape change, as shown. It's not the monitor, as it is only the terrain and sky that change (see the clouds). Maybe due to AS6.5??? The cockpit colour stays constant. It doesn't happen all that often, but I can't see any constant factor (location, aircraft etc.). Any ideas?? Martin

I know this is a fairly common problem, but can anyone say what the most common causes of this happening with 3rd. party sceneries are? Latest case: I installed a scenery of CYAM. As I explored after installation, all was fine. But flying into CYAM, the ground textures only appear as my a/c moves forward, the 3rd. party ground textures appearing (or disappearing, at a number of other airports) at the same speed as you taxi forwards.. My old Radeon 4000 series video card recently died and I replaced it with a Radeon HD 7770. I have to say that the frame rates haven't jumped as much as I was hoping and I have the most annoying flickering in the gauges. It doesn't happen all of the time but it is very distracting. There are times when the GPS is almost worthless because it flickers so badly. I have tried adjusting about every setting I can think of in FS and the AMD/ATI control panel. I know FS9 is getting a bit on the old side but I have it configured the way I like and have been using Flight Sim since the days of framewire graphics. Need help with how to unlock the instrument panel. It is not responding until I undock it but then of course it is running with a windows pane around it. How do I get it to activate in the docked position? ( When I say not responding and locked I mean it appears as usual and I can use the engine controls, add power, take off and fly around but the instruments do not go along with the program. No airspeed, No altitude readouts, No attitude readouts. But when I undock it everything comes to life and the instruments respond as usual. I used to have FISD's Kuopio airport installed in my sim and it worked fine, now tonight I tried to install it again and I hope someone can help. When I got the scenery installed with the included fix parts of the taxiways and apron disappear when I taxi near them. The fix says to delete efku_A16N.bgl and efku_A16N2.bgl, but with those files installed I don't have the taxiways and aprons disappearing but I have mesh problems around the airport. But with the fix installed I do not have any more mesh problems but I do have the taxiways and aprons disappearing. Any ideas on how (or if) I can fix this? Hello, This is the first time I ask for help, so bare with me. Normally I have been able to fix all my problems thru this forum but now I'm stuck. I am currently having trouble with FS9. On a long flight (Madrid - Hong Kong), right before landing (approx. 200 feet from runway), the sound stops and FS9 suddenly crashes. At first, I received a virtual memory error message, but I increased the ram and virtual memory, so this is not the case any more. Now, it just shuts down with no excuse. So I know this may be redundant but I'm having an issue with setting FS9 up on a high end-ish rig. Im getting low FPS with fs9 with add-ons. I keep seeing all these videos of FS9 and fsx with high fps on about the same specs as me. I get about 20-30 fps at an addon airport like JFK and 75% traffic. My main question is what am I doing wrong here? Im running this hardware: Win7 64 22Gb ddr3 ram i5 4670@ 3.4ghz Nvidia GT610 The thing thats odd is I have searched the forums and changed settings according to several different ideas but nothing seems to work. I'm pretty sure my FPS being low has something to do with MY AA/AF settings. Any ideas?

Suddenly convimx stopped working. i used for 3 years, i do everything as always, but when push convert - it cklicks and nothing happens. maybe someone had a similar problem? thx

I've had FS2004 for a long time but have not really used it. The other day I installed it on it's own drive and have a problem I've never experienced before--- None of the options on the ATC box can be clicked on. ATC opens and closes normally and I can hear ground control and tower giving instructions to other aircraft but it will not allow me to request taxi and take off. When I'm inflight I cannot make any selection either. Am I missing something?

Hello all. I need some input from someone knowledgeable on the FS9 scenery.cfg file. I've read, re-read comments from folks on this site as well as others contradicting how things need to be in order of priority. Quite frankly, it makes me dizzy. I have pasted a copy of my scenery.cfg file. Hello All Having problems that I thought i had seen the last of years ago. Can start the sim , and load any default aircraft with no problems. But any other third party aircraft ie poskies. PA Airbuses etc etc etc wil not load ,the sim crashes, then re starts with GAU error messages, mainly with reference to the Lee Hetherington TCAS gau or Callout GAU. I am have suffered this sort of thing before ,but can't remeber how I sorted it out. I have an issue with my Fly Tampa St. Martins mesh. If I start a flight on the runway the aircraft is sunken in the ground. If I take off everything seems to be floating but I can still see the strip and airport.. Is there a way to level everything out? I have reloaded the scenery and still same issue.

I recently downloaded a Ryan Air 757-200. It looks like a pretty nice plane for a freeware.It is by Eugene Douglas and started out as a Project Opensky apparently. anyway, the HSI does not load into the panel cutout space even though I see it listed in the Gauges folder. It is listed as a Boeing 747-400.gau and there is also a Boeing 767-300.gau. Nothing appears in the cutout. .......any ideas? JGSJW

Hi, my Dreamfleet Bonanza seems to be the only plane which works absolutely not under my new Win7 system. No gauges at all, no engine start possible, corrupt sound. Very sad! I need replacement. As Carenado is on offer at simmarket, does their old Bonanza V35 for FS2004 work under Win7? Win7 compatibility is specified for the new F33, but unfortunately not for the V-tail. Of course it's outdated a little, nevertheless I'm interested. Thanks, Harald

I may have missed some previously, but I installed my first WOAI update today using these excellent Airbus models. Nosewheel steering is most obvious plus: Nice lighting, too Best of all, I do believe the previous WOAI DJC models have been removed by the installer, saving a LOT of manual labour! Well done - and thanks - WOAI.

Hope I spelled it right. I wanted to personally thank you for taking the time to develop, and share, that nice little program that searches and repairs the bmp's/alpha issue.
