Hi, does anyone know if there is a certain priority for the Paris Vfr packs in the scenery library to appear? I have the Paris City Pack, Base Pack and the VFR Pack. I have Win 7 64 bit, installed everything with admin rights, UT Europe, Aerosoft LFPG and Aerosoft LFPO. About 10 months ago I upgraded machines. I was running XP 32 bit with 3 GB of RAM. I could get the jaw dropping auto gen with the scenery, but now I do not get it on the new install. I have manually updated the entries is the scenery.cfg to point to the correct locations. I started to play with the priority in which the scenery appears in the library, hierarchy for a lack of a better term. I wou…

Following the advice in the Win 7 forum thread "Migrating FS9 WinXP 32-bit to Win7 64-bit" I got FS2004 up and running over the weekend on the new system. However,I've encountered a few problems. One appeared to resolve itself when I copied my WinXP FS2004 install backup from an external drive. Two are minor and can be ignored. Two involving A/C can be delt with by going with same the planes by other manufacturers (but I'd rather not if there is a way to fix the problems with them). Two other problems came with the WinXP install when I copied it to the Win7 system. Finally two I consider major enough I'll dump the Win7 system and go back to the WinXP system if they …

Hi Folks I have re-installed my Quality Wings Bae146 collection v1.3 and now the IRS Panel always comes up naff, (please see attached image), and the switches on the IRS will not work as they seem to be just pasted images over the IRS Panel itself. I am running FS9 with WIN 7. Are there any updates or patches for the QW146 collection. It used to work ok, but not anymore, but I had to re-install it as I was getting CTD every time I took the plane off. Thanks. John

Hello mates, it's the time where we will find many fog, snow and dust around Europe. I just flew to Vienna and had a visibility of around 700-1000m. With FSGRW this looks nice but then I had to turn on lights. And suddenly everything looked straight and unreal so I turned them off. Here a pic: Any way to change it or to make it more real? Hi everyone, In the past when opening the "Map" in FS9 I have seen a bar at the bottom where you can slide it left and right it it will move the red line showing the route you have flown, I've recently installed FS9 on my computer again and installed 9.1 update but don't seem to have that little feature, I could of sworn it was added after installing the 9.1 patch. Wondering if someone can help me get that back on there, Thank you

Been flying the Cheyenne and doing the Norway thing, problem ATC gives me altimeter setting like 864 and the instrument only goes down to 948, any procedure or fix for this? I don't like RCV yelling at me and telling FISDO on me....Thanx anyone

HI Folks. Can anybody please tell me, why, when my FMC in my 737-800NG is showing 5.6 fuel at destination, I keep getting a message saying ' Using RSV Fuel' It pops up at the bottom of FMC every 10 mins or so. Most annoying. Cheers John

What I'm looking for is: -landclass and vector based -covers a wide area -includes at least one updated airport -includes at least a couple POIs or VFR landmarks Some examples (and sceneries I've already got) include Misty Fjords, Tongass Fjords, Glacier Bay, Vancouver+, just about anything else Holger Sandmann was involved in, Aerosofts Scenery Germany series, etc. I've been able to find similar things for Spain and Germany as freeware. Hi all, I was recently browsing around and by chance came across a company called Virtavia www.virtavia.com who do military aircraft for FS9 and FSX (and now Xplane I think) I normally fly iFly 737 or Wilco Airbus and PMDG 747/MD11 the odd time.. and do not have a lot of military aircraft in the hanger. I checked out the Virtavia website and was immediately drawn to the C-17 Globemaster for FS9.. It looked cool so on a whim I bought it and the Hawker Hunter at simmarket. The C-17 is incredible. Beautiful Model, Excellent 2D and 3D Panels and the sound is unreal. It integrates extremely well with my Saitek Radio Panel, Autopilot Panel and Switch Panel. …

I just bought a new rig, loaded up fs9 and Ifly...downloaded REX. Everything was going great! So I started adding more. Popped an old version of FDC in to add, and things weren't so great anymore. It tells me that the program can't start because MSVCR71.dll is missing. Fine. I moved on and tried to reconfigure REX and was told that d3dx9_32 &34.dll was missing. Can some kind person tell me what in the world is going on and how to fix it? Thanks!

Hey! Is there any possibility.... I fly FS9 since many years and now under Windows 7, and I presently have, appart from the Original standard default aircraft, approx. 950 aircraft folders in the default aircraft folder, and each aircraft folder, most of them are MAIW and/or WOAI folders each aircraft folder may have as an average 10-20 aircraft ( = different paintings, different airplanes ) which may give me a total of 10.000 or even more aircraft in my FS9 system, that all fly according to the supplied Flightplans. By the way, this works fine, no problem with the amount of aircraft.... There is only something of which I think there can be a solution to solve the wait…

I have the Posky 777-200 and have noticed that I have to have a minimum speed of approx. 220 before the aircraft takes off by which time I am crashing into the airport surroundings like buildings. Usually the take off speed for other models is approx. 180. Is there some way I can resolve this issue, for example by changing something in the aircraft file. Other Posky models which I have seem to be oke. Any suggestions welcome.

Am wondering why the ATIS will not show when ATC is brought up for UK2000 EGLC Extreme. The correct ATIS info is present in both the stock and add-on afcad files. Have tried to find any duplicate afcads or other conflicting files, but have found nothing. Posted this in the UK2000 forum as well.

Hi fellow simmers, As I watched the series Ice Pilots for the first time recently, I am getting a bit excited about it, and I am wondering if there are some good freeware/payware aircraft for FS9 which are used in the series, such as: - Lockheed electra - Douglas DC-4 - Curtis C-46 - Canadair CL-215 What I also was wondering if there is a (very) good/nice Canada (mesh) scenery for FS9 for this area (North West Territories)? I looked here at avsim and flightsim but nothing came across. I can highly recommend the series if you love old descent vintage planes!

Hello everyone, I have this problem, when I fly over northern Germany from the north, approaching Berlin, the sim (FS9), just stops and than restarts itself, what could be the cause of that ? I was flying Tokyo Intl to Fankfurt and than tried something closer from Helsinki to Frankfurt and same thing happened, shortyl after entering German Airspace, I use Aerosoft Tegel and Aerosoft Berlin City, if they have to do anything with this... Any help would be appreciated

Hi, In recent days, I've had occasions where I lose the textures of my aircraft, AI aircraft, and scenery. Trying to quit the flight causes FS2004 to crash. I'm not sure what I might have done. Hi im running triple head to go across 3 monitors of res of 5040x1050 ok hears what I did to go from 28fps to an amazing 180+ I simply dragged the window about an inch from the top of the screen!! now it might seem great but I would like to run with the full screen in windowed mode for the same frame rates can anyone explain to me whats happening and how if possible to get the same with the screen fully windowed? ive tried all configurations of screen resolution all giving the same results as above within a couple of frames per second ani ideas Mike

Hi All, I spotted a thread on the X-Plane forum about the new Nvidia Driver 331.58 smoothing the sim. I upgraded my driver to the latest GEforce one for my Nvidia GTX550i and I have to say it is a much smoother FS9 flying experience. Flew from EGLL to EICK with heavy cloud, rain, Heathrow Extreme from UK2000 and it was silky smooth all the way through. Why, I don't have a clue but who cares.. I am running FS9 with 4 Screens (Matrox TH2G for main views and side monitor for charts etc..) Hope it works for you. All the best, John

Can anyone tell me what the source of this message is? It pops up when I press F2 (which is already in use), but I can't seem to locate the programme that is producing it, even though I've searched and searched the programme interfaces. (I thought it was most probably PFE, but F2 is not one of the keyboard assignment possible there, as far as I can see). http://forum.avsim.net/topic/285517-pro-flight-emulaotr/ Googling didn't help either. Hey! How and why can this happen?.... I fly with FS9 since almost the beginning of FS2004, and never had problems with this.... With several different aircrafts the autopilot does not word. They are aircrafts that normally have autopilot, but since this morning that autopilot seems not te function.... Eighter when I use FSNav and on the map I point where the plane has to fly to, it does not, nor does it fly a plan that I make active. Why could that be? Greetz Jive1

Hi all, I am needing some help with finding the right FS9.cfg tweak to fix an issue that I'm having. The issue: On final (3 miles and in) textures, structures, lights, etc etc start popping up, like the world is loading up right in front of me. A lot of times it really isn't bad or noticeable but tonight, it was. On short final, it seemed like half the airport started loading up. No hitches, stutters, etc but it was just annoying, kinda. I've been tweaking my cfg for the last year+ and really have it nailed down, however this issue is starting to get a bit more noticeable (b/c I'm watching for it closely) and am hoping someone can help me put the finishing tou…

Hello forum. I have an issue with fs9. I did a quick search and I didn't find anything on this. So, I'm sorry if this was asked and answered earlier. I just recently got back into FS. I installed it on Vista Home premium. However, when I pick my plane, my screen flashes and my plane shows up darkened (this happens to all my planes). I heard this happening to others, so I hope there is a fix. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I'm a long time FS9 user but with my current setup somehow when changing views (left/right/outside) the textures load really slow, taking between 2 - 5 sec. Framerates are good. I don't have a clue why. I have a pretty good system (i7-980X, 12GB RAM, GTX770 with 4GB and SSD's) and never experienced this before. Recently I installed the GTX770, so it may be related to that, I dunno.
