I've been hard at work on the base textures/paint kit for the B737-700 coming from us at TDS. Aside from a few details that need modification, it is almost ready. To be released as freeware in the coming weeks. Yes, we will be doing the entire -700 thru -900ER line including BBJ/2/3 options, all antenna options, PIP models, eyebrows/no-eyebrows, winglets/non-winglets, you name it. No, there will not be a VC included, but you are more than welcome to make one that we can potentially add to the model at a later date. No, there is no release date. Hi Guys Did you know that FS9 runs much faster and more reliably with the default scenery alone - but how many of us use the program for pure flight rather than being fixated on trying to make it look 'different'? Hi, I am having difficulty configuring my toe brakes on my saitek rudder pedals. Both the left and right toe brakes are using the x and y axis (elevator and ailerons) and I cannot change the assignments. I am doing this through the fs9 control assignments menu and not FSUIPC as I am using the unregistered version. I have the toe brakes configured perfectly in fsx so they do work. So I recently decided to use 'Nick's LightFix' and I love it and I even managed to fiddle around with the strobe.fx files to create a double-blink airbus strobe. But I've got one picky situation I'm now trying to sort out with the navigation lights. So for the medium aircraft sizes I use fx_navredm.fx and fx_navgrem.fx, the heavys I use fx_navredh.fx and fx_navgreh.fx and I've noticed I can only see the red/green colour when close up to the aircraft. If I am close up, I can see red/green, once I move back a bit (not talking a long distance) it ends up going to a standard white colour. Hey guys..I'm new here. I'm a Malaysian. I just wanna ask one simple question, how to change the eye/viewpoint position in fs9. I have both fsx deluxe and fs9, I'm familiar how to do this on fsx which is you need to press spacebar and move your mouse. but its not working for fs9. Any assistance are really appreciated.

Hi. Coming back to flight sim after about a 5 year hiatus. Things have changed a lot. Anyway, I am looking for what people here think is the best Airbus simulation. I have used the Wilco Airbus' and they are ok but I am not sure about the fly by wire system and what it is actually supposed to feel like. What would be the best Airbus for me to buy? I am getting the Just Flight's Airbus a330/340 for Xmas. I have Wilco's Airbus Vol. 2 deluxe now and do not like the models. I tried to search on how to merge the Wilco panel to the CLS model. Not sure if I will do it right. Do I copy the panel from Wilco's to the CLS folder? Or the CLS model and textures to the Wilco folder? I found the guide to do it on Avsim but it tells me to copy the model and change the aircraft.cfg file on the Wilco. Not too sure what to do to get the CLS models/textures with a Wilco panel.

Does anybody know how to avoid the nerving Follow Function window opened with Traffic View Board? Thanks for any advice. Bernard

I've been trying to figure this out with no luck. I see FS9 films where the external camera stays in one position while the view is locked on to the airplane while taxiing, landing, or takeoff. The camera view would follow the aircraft as it moves, but the position stays the same. Now, I'm using FSRecorder, Active Camera, and DBS Walk&Follow. I use the external view from W&F by pressing the * button, but I have to manually control the camera to keep the moving plane in the frame by holding the left mouse key. This makes it very jerky. How are you guys getting the smooth lock on your aircraft?

I have recently upgraded my Windows 7 to 64 bit. I got FS9 reinstalled and everything seems almost normal. But now I notice, when I select weather updates every 15 minutes option, the actual weather is not the same. Before I updated the OS, the weather was always fairly accurate, particularly in the USA. But like to day, I was going to do a run from South Bend (KSBN) to Newark (KEWR) with a ERJ-145. It came up with a noisy thunderstorm with heavy rain. Actually the weather in South Bend is sunny and very few clouds in the sky. It seems now everywhere I fly in US, I'm getting foul weather. Has anyone else noticed this discrepancy? :rolleyes:

Hi there all - just a rather mundane question which I have no doubt you all have seen before - but I genuinely need a few words of 'kind' advice. very briefly - I have a +- 10 year old AMD Athlon3200+ - and i think it's knackered - purely becuase my fs2004 lags or is consistently jerking and the screen and mouse 'lag' too. So here's the question for you experienced 'simmers' - if I want to be able to use fs2004 with lot's of addons and say - an airport addon of say 25Mb - and wind the settings up a bit - what do you guys think the minimum I should be looking at - Dual Core - 4Gb Ram and a Nvidia GTX 650??? Hi everyone. I've started on a long job of getting all my airports compatible with my traffic bgls - you know... making sure the airport is actually in FS9, adding relevant details to the stock runway-only fields, checking parking spot quantity and size and so on - and it's just occurred to me to wonder whether all the work is necessary. If I don't intend to fly within AI-spawning distance of a scheduled airport, do I really need to add any AFD detail to get AI to appear en route to the next stop in the flightplan? Cheers, Dave

I have the old Simwings scenery for the Canary Island but it hasn't been installed on my computer in more than 2 years. I want to fly around that part of the world again and I need scenery for it. I was wondering if there is anything better/newer for the Canary Islands available? Or maybe there is something coming soon? Or should I just go and re-install the Simwings scenery?

Hello, Does anyone know how to jump start FS9 and get it to load? Worked fine this morning when I flew a few short hops. Now it just sits on my screen with the little icon going round and round faster than my electric meter. Then, a message stating FS9 not responding. Maybe it's as tired as I am. Thanks, Mike

Good evening all, I usually fly jetliners in Europe mainly, sometimes in North America and Asia..I now want to do some General Aviation flying around Alaska.. Because i now am going to fly a lot lower than with the jets, i would like to know which freeware and payware add ons there are to enhance the flying in Alaska..I don`t exactely know the difference between terrain and mesh, so if anyone would like to fill me in a bit i would appreciate it.. No getting away from it ... I'm not very good at piloting a helicopter. Recently my interest in them has been piqued since purchasing the AI helicopter program, Heli Traffic 2009, from Flight1 ... great fun. I notice Just Flight has an old (now) simulation of the Schweizer 300CBi which apparently is well regarded. I'm thinking this might be just the ticket to properly learn on. Before dropping my hard earned on it I thought it prudent to check with fellow members seeking their experiences, good or bad. I would very much appreciate your learned input ... thanks.

Running Windows 7 64bit with all programs opened with admin rights FS9 with various addons as well as Maddog 2010 AIRAC 1302 I am having issues any time I try and pull up a SID or STAR through the ARR/DEP page that has to do with KDEN. I can type in the origin and then destination without issue. As soon as I try and select a SID or STAR that is associated with KDEN, I get a crash to desktop. I just recently upgraded from Maddog 2006, and never correctly updated the AIRAC cycles as you had to in the past. I started from a clean install with the new Maddog 2010, and the manager automatically copied and pasted the new AIRAC cycle (from PMDG) into the appropriate fo…

Hi,just found out auto brakes dont work on default 737.or ifly737, yet they work on tinmouse and pmdg737posted on ifly forum but it seems its something my end,tried calibration on brake pedals and throttle, makes no differencecant find any reference to auto brake in a/c cfg files. on touch down auto brake switch snaps from max to off.but works on tinmouse and pmdg.would appriciate any ideas.thanks,Richard

Hi all This problem has just happened. A few days ago i installed a new aircraft and i suspect a file has been either deleted or overwritten. The landing lights do appear on the runway in spotview, but not from inside the cockpit. Any ideas which files i need to copy across from my fs9 backup? Thanks Trevor

After taking a 16 month Sabbatical form Flight simming. I have put fs9 back on my new computer and found that I have been away for way too long. I am now having to relearn all the little tips and tricks I use to know. After some trial and misses I am getting the hang of it again. I do have a couple of questions to ask thou 1. Is there still addon and other freeware/payware being made for fs9 or is it all FSX stuff now. 2. I need to get fsbuild back up and running. How do I get the updates for it. Hey! How to make afcads for AI ships, that is what I'm trying to find out. I've seen a video on Toutube and things are not clear to me....I try to follow what is explained there, but it does not work here in my FS9 on a Win7 pc... Is there any specialist who knows what is important and what should be taken care of when making the afcads? Greetz Jive1
