Hi I have been using fs9 with windows XP for a long time with fantastic results. I used UK2000 scenery and PMDG 737 and 747 and never had any problems. I now have a new 64Bit with Windows 7 machine as shown below: O/S Windows 7 Quad Core Processor: Intel ® Core i5-4430 CPU @ 3.00 GHZ 3.00GHZ Ram: 8.00GB System Type: 64Bit Intel ® Graphics 4600 AMD Radeon R7 200 Series I have installed FS9 into my root C/ directory but the simulator is constantly crashing with the error message "Flight Simulator has stopped working" If I start a flight and leave it running it seems to be ok but as soon as I use the menu bar to adjust anything the crash happen…

I wore out my 3 yr old Eclipse Yoke so bought a new Eclipse Yoke. My 3 yr old Control Manager does not recognize it and does not list it on the calibration screen like it did with my previous one. I run Windows 7 64 bit which is not listed in the CH Installation instructions so I may have chosen the wrong o/s setting but none of the choices solve the problem anyway. I also tried removing the original CH Control Manager and then re-installing it to no avail. I need to get it working because the Windows Sensitivity setting is unable to calm down whatever plane I fly. Even a four engine transport has the roll rate of a jet fighter. JGSJW

Hi, I'm ver intersted int the Madeira scenery from aerosoft. But it's only running on FSX. Anyone know if it works in Fs9 anyway? Anyone treid to convert the textures? Or does anyone know a good madeira sceney FS9. I know there's Wonderfull Madeira, but it's too old Thanks in advance

so I was testing the flight 1 super 80 in FS9 and I notice the autopilot dials are black and that the avionics are not functional, showing red tape and altimeter reading "off". The engines are on. now that I have found my Dem4km.bgl' and recovered most of my Addon Scenaries I am now having my sim crash repeatedly when inbound planes get within about 15 miles. of certain airports. For instance my Twin Falls Idaho airport Addon has always had a serious frame rate problem. but now none my planes can approach it without my sim crashing. Other Addon Airports like my Boise airport have no problem. What could be causing this? JWPLS

Hi Good People, The Ford Project Team is still working furiously in the background creating some FREE fun new stuff for some of the Classic Aircraft. The Microsoft Default Douglas DC3 and the Microsoft Default Vickers Vimy have been into the Paint Shop and each batch will soon be released with 14 new and vibrant liveries for each aircraft. Hello. After Windows 7 came out I remember there being some confusion about people getting things to work properly after upgrading from Windows XP to Windows 7 as far as FS9 was concerned. My father might be ditching his XP system for a new Windows 7 system and I am trying to remember everything. I do remember some people being confused becuase of the new path to the users profile directory and things like that. But, I can't remember if that was the only issue or not. Can you help me to recall what issues he may encounter? I am asking for him as I will be assisting with this task should it happen. Thanks!

too fast for taxiing when taxiing aound with the c208 in fs9 i notice that aircraft is moving really fast but i havent given it alot of power like i hit the f3 or 9 key and before i can get it to control it and get it to fly normally it just goes really fast and i havent given it alot of power... anyone got a solution!!

Hi Everyone After weeks of frustration, I am now starting to feel like my FS9 reinstall is in the last stages and it is once again possible to fly instead of just install and tweak!!! But as always, there are those "missing files" that I installed years ago, took for granted, and now can't find where I got them from. One is perhaps called "traffic zapper" or some such name and allowed a key press to suddenly eliminate AI traffic (with a somewhat satisfying explosion sound)... “The Dem4Km.bgl’ file is missing or Damaged. Please Re-install Flight Simulator to restore or repair the file. Flight Simulator will now quit.” When I try to do this I am unable to carry this out. Can someone send me the Dem4Km.bgl' and tell me how to install it correctly? I have the full set but I am stumped. JGSJW

Hello. I'm hoping someone might be able to answer a question for me with the use of AI Smooth and Windows 7. I'm setting up a new Windows 7 system for my Dad and am unable to change the settings for AI Smooth. When I bring up the Settings screen the data is there but I can't modify the entries. Could this have something to do with Windows 7? It previouly worked fine in XP (and still does in my XP system) but I can't figure out why the difficulty now. Just for the heck of it I tried checking the box for application to "run as administrator" but that didn't change anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

HI! SO I got a new laptop and decided to install FS9 onto it again, and then transfer all my addons. It was all going so so well until I decided to transfer the modules folder to get the FSDT airports. Mistake. First it said AI_PLAYR.dll was missing, so I went and copied that back. Now it gives me scenery errors every time on loading - the flightsim works, but the sceneries that come originally, giving photographic view of London, New York, LA, and so on, are 'not found' Does anyone have a list of required module/dlls if I'm running FS2004 with Active Camera, AES, FSDT scenery, iFly 737, PMDG 747, and Active Sky Evo

Hello All I got no joy with this query at the other place,so thought I would try here. I have been trying to get Evp working with 8.1 I have tried all the known ways to get it to function (particularly want the accelerated ATC) Nothing has worked. The best result I have achieved so far is to get some of the ATC files accelerated whilst the rest remain slow. I cannot understand why Evp accelerates some ,but not all. Any ideas please? Does anyone know of a way to make the AI Aircraft have decent separation on landing? I have over 250 world of AI packages installed and when landing at the big airports it's crazy the amount of go around that happen.

I just bought BDO Aviation's King Abdulaziz International airport in Saudi Arabia (OEJN). I ran the exe file and it said it will install it in my fs9 addon scenery folder, but I can not find the folder to add it to my FS9. Does anyone know where BDO puts this sceneries folder??

in majestic DHC8 400 i beleive the landing is pretty good and doesnt bounce but in PAD's DHC8 202 and 202, most likely the 400 it really bounces and is hard to stop...i emailed one of the members (bob may) and asked them how to fix it...and heres the fix!! Hi guys, I am having an issue with scenery at some of my addon airports and I cannot seem to figure out just what is going on. Here is a picture of the problem: This was taken during landing at Seattle (KSEA). As you can see, the area in front of the aircraft for some reason is letting textures other than the FlyTampa textures show through. I am assuming these are default textures. This area of show through contiues once I taxi off the runway and to the gate. It only seems to happen when flying TO Seattle, not when flying FROM Seattle. Additionally, this evening, I taxied way on the South end of the airport to my gate at the S terminal. This time, at some po…

I've just started to use FSCaptain. Great product BTW. So far I've made 2 flights, but I experienced something weird on both of them. When I make touchdown and start to reverse my engines I get a "takeoff config" warning alarm set off in my iFly 737-800. I have flown several flights with FSPassengers, but I never experienced this before. I use TOPCAT to find out if I can derrate, but I never export payload and fuel from TOPCAT. That I use FSC to manage. Any clues?

Hi Good People, For those that may not have noticed recently, the Ford Tri-Motor Project Team have been pumping out a bucket of liveries for the Default Microsoft Curtiss Jenny JN4D aircraft. This is a great "low and slow" historical aircraft however, she was lacking somewhat in her texture mappings - typical of the Microsoft default girls. Lots of mirror mapping and some duplication mapping for various components. This unfortunately, like the other default aircraft, restricted the scope in creating some Fact, Fiction and Fun liveries.
