Hi Good People, As many may have noticed David has released a great de Havilland Dh83 recently. With David's consent the Ford Tri Motor Project is in the process of adding this girl to the project. I have done some experiments with the texture mappings and pumped out a few test textures to get the overall gist of the model and the mappings: Even did a test livery for the Ford Project's India Scenery Project And to add some extra fun I have created a batch of alternative wheels for this aircraft that users will be able to add to any of the aircraft - a User Choice sort of thing........ Good day All I have just done a re-install of fs9 after fitting new hardware(graphics card and m/board) I now cannot get ANY sound from fs9. I also run fsx from the same set up with no sound issues from fsx or other programs on the desktop All looks good in the cfg file and all sliders/ticks etc in settings section appear how I previously had them at the old install. Does anyone have any suggestions please Mike

Right now I am using a old Heathrow scenery that does not have the newer terminal 2, so now I am looking to upgrade Heathrow. But which scenery should I get? The Aerosoft version which just came out a few days ago? Or the UK2000 version?

For my next payware scenery purchase I am thinking of getting Jetstream Designs Marseille scenery. I have a question for anyone how has this scenery about the ground textures. In the screenshots the ground textures show the grass as brown (looks like it's been through a drought). Is it like that all year round? Or are the screenshots just showing summer textures? It says the scenery blends nicely into the default scenery, but my default scenery for that area has green grass.

I've installed Rob Touchtone's Toledo Express scenery. I am unable after multiple attempts to load it. FS9 goes through its customary loading routine. When it finishes the screen goes black and the sim crashes. I've tried multiple steps to no avail. I've actually had the same problem if I try to load a flight with the FS9 default airport. I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.

Whenever I change my screen from windowed mode to Full screen mode in FS2004 it freezes and I have to restart FS2004. Is there a way to fix it?

Hello again, In the file library there's an explanation how to add Wing Lights to the PA Airbus A320 by adding the following lines: light.1=8, 25.31, 6.67, 1.70, fx_navwhih light.2=8, 25.31, -6.67, 1.70, fx_navwhih light.3=8, 25.31, 6.8, 1.70, B738wing light.4=8, 25.31, -6.8, 1.70, B738wing I think there are two lines for the Wing Light and the other two lines describe the light effect on the engines... Can you help me to find out where I can find those coordinates and re-edit it for an A319 and A321 as well? Thanks in advance.

I did use Airport Chart by Holger Mass but see it no longer works in Windows 7. Is there any other alternative software that will allow you to not have to use FS's pink line?

I have this scenery for Naples Italy http://napulevola.it and when I landed there tonight my plane was buoncing down the runway like it was on dirt. Was there ever a fix for this? If not is there something I can do to fix it? I haven't flown to this scenery for a while so I don't remember if this was a problem before.

I am having problems finding the download to install REX Overdrive for FS9. All I can find is the download version for FSX.Maybe I am looking in the wrong place but if anyone can guide me to the download link please....

Looking at my KCRW with UT and FS Gen19 mesh, the Elk river runs along the boundary of the airport, at the top edge of the cliff at airport elevation instead of in the valley near the base of the cliff along the highway. Thus, it is totally unrealistic. I have tried a couple of other AFCADs and other mesh, but no luck thus far. Does anybody know a solution where the river is properly located?

Howdy all, Seems like I've run into a bit of a problem and am not sure as to what's causing it. I mostly fly the iFly 737 and have recently updated my AIRAC data to 1411 through Navigraph and it worked as it always does. Now, however whenever I fly I notice that my aircraft heading and the magnetic heading of the runway assigned do not match up...sometimes off by as much as 10 degrees or more....and it doesn't just happen w/ the iFly...it happens w/ all aircraft, just more noticeable in the iFly due to the FMC route is off quite a bit. I have since changed my intersection data and magnetic variation data by changing the magdec.bgl from the latest back to the origin…

Hey guys, I've gone back to installing some older fs9 files and I have a question about Shehryar Ansari's older airports. At night I get these weird tracking balls of light that surround the airport perimeters. They exhibit a "chasing" motion. What is this and how can I get rid of it?

Hi everybody I recently updated my Nvidia graphics driver to 344.48 and Inspector to 1.9.7.3, and after trying DSR (which didn't really do much for me sadly) I went back to Inspector to reset my FS9 settings and found the SLI section (never noticed it before but maybe it was always there?). Since I've got 2 660ti's in my rig, I thought I'd play around with this 'new' section (under the FS9 profile). Has anyone used Hernan Anibarro's Air North texture for Dee Waldron's AI Hawker Siddeley HS-748? For some reason I am getting half of one engine nacelle a bright green and both parts of the second engine nacelle the same. Didn't change plane or texture so it is a mystery as to why.

Hi all I'm wondering if I am missing here. If I tune nav 1 to (I have checked 10) random airports in the uk for example eggd, Bristol 110.15 I get the morse code and the CDI moves correctly however when turning the OBS to centre the CDI, it won't centre I can move OBS 360degrees and the CDI remains as it were. If I visually fly to the approach eventually the CDI will centre correctly on its own and glide me down perfectly. If I fly anywhere in the USA all is perfect I can move the OBS to centre the CDI no problems. As I have said am I missing something? Is there a bug in fs9 Any help/pointers would be much appreciated Cheers Stuart

Having flown in real world situations I can tell you that the altitude perception in fs2004 is not realistic or accurate When ATC takes me down to 2,000 feet it looks more like im at 500 feet, only until you get up-to a higher altitude can you really not notice the difference, is there anyway in the cfg file to adjust the level to a more accurate perception? Also, there is an error in fs2004, when flying aircraft and you extend the flaps, the motion of the plane is to sink, this is not accurate, when extending the flaps the plane should start to climb at first as you push the yoke down to counter act this. Once again, is there a way to adjust this in the cfg file?…

Is there a clean way to delete aircraft that I no longer will fly from FS9? I'm thinking of default as well as freeware addons. Thanks, Paul

Hello, My ATC is not working. It was yesterday, but now when viewing the 'choose an option' ATC window, if I select a number for a taxi option for example, nothing happens. Not hearing any other ATC chatter and the popup Garmin is blank. It appears that everything else is working fine and all other sounds are OK. ATC is disabled or missing and I do not know where to look or how to restore it. I have searched the form, rebooted, made sure all the appropriate option boxes are checked, etc. but no change. If anyone is able to help me it would be much appreciated. Thanks, Steve

Hi Good People, Edward and I have added 3 new DH88 Liveries to our batch over at the Ford Tri-Motor Project site. A tinker I have done to create a golden/polished metal Bush Flying Unlimited, a Richfield Oil Company livery and a Hunter River Patrol slightly military style repaint. You will notice that I had a bit of fun with the Hunter River Patrol and added gun ports - 3x20mm gun ports on each side. Just a fun thing. However, Edward liked them and suggested that we should update a couple of the existing military style liveries with the gun ports. The end result is 5 texture upgrades. I have just found two AI planes, both of which just "appear" on their parking spot, instead of landing, turning around, then taxiing to the apron. There is no error in the airfield (too small to be an airport, and easily checked) and one of them is by Henry Tomkiewicz, who normally produces reliable planes that do as they are told. The forum is down on his web site; does he have an email address?
