Hi there! I've got a question, is it possible for you to get access to the-fruit-stand.com or flyingcarpet75.com or are both websites currently down? Best regards, Elmar

Hi, can anyone tell me how to remove the smoke from the C-130 that seem to be from Military AI Works. For example last night there was a C-130 that took off after me from San Juan airport during dusk, when I looked at him from higher above it looked like there was a HUGE fire ball after him, I was like that heck is that following the C-130? I slewed to get closed to him and noticed it was his engine smoke or exhaust effect that for some reason looked like glowing fire from far and when I get really close to him then it looks like smoke. Is there way to remove that effect for all Military AI Works planes? This is the first I noticed that. Thanks all, Bill

Once upon a time, years ago, it was recommended to compress FS2004 files. I have since forgotten the reason. I have done exactly that ye these many years ..... even unto this day. All of my FS2004 and related files are compressed .... except for my gauge files which bombed one time when I attempted to compress them. Is this a recommended practice anymore? Does anyone still do it? Does it or could it contribute to the dreaded FS9 Stutters? I submit these to the collective knowledge base of this esteemed forum ....... no FSX-related responses please!

Hello, I have for many years flew my airliners in FS9 with the proper amount of fuel for their flights, however I really never put much thought on the baggage and passenger weight since I have just leave them with whatever they come with. For example I notice that the TDS 737 series jet out really quick on take off..and thats with using N1 around 82%. Is there a free program that would randomly add passenger/cargo/baggage/ to planes in a realistic manner? Or something like that? Thanks, Bill

Is by far the best plane addon for FS9. Despite recent added competion in the now-limited FS9 market it still maintains its rank. It is reliable, smooth, complex and visually still up to today standards (almost). Too bad it wasn t further developped into a 757. I hope repainters will keep it alive for a few years until a P3d 64bits is available. Thanks again for this great addon. Ghiom

  11. How could I not afford to gamble? Again Steam has their edition of FSX at $5. I had heard good things about it so I pulled the trigger. Flew the Grumman seaplane from Orcas Island to Seattle at 7,000ft. Apparently Seattle is death to frames in the sim so I was curious to try it for myself. My machine is not too shabby 4770K @3.9, GTX970, 8Gb 2400 ram. I applied maximum anti aliasing and 16x anisotropic filtering, took off from KORS and was greeted by 170fps unlimited. I selected unlimited as I wanted to see the degradation nearing Seattle. Over Seattle at over 50fps I decided to turn everything to maximum, and I mean everything. 46 fps was the result. …

If you are using the A330 from CLS with FS2004, like I did, you may have noticed a problem of memory leak that can lead to an FS crash to the desktop. Having a quick look at the CLS forum immediately brings the solution. The problem is because the CLS installer puts all the common texture files (used in all the virtual cockpits) in the main texture folder of FS2004 and all the livery textures, which are specific to each aircraft livery, are placed in the "texture.XXX" folder of each aircraft. The idea is good because it saves disk space: instead of having the common texture files duplicated n times when you have n liveries, they are stored only once on your disk, a single …

Hi, can anyone tell me where on the ini file for ENB effects can one be able to make the dark areas like in dusk, dawn time be a little lighter? I love the entire effect of the file I have however the runway seems too dark in the mornings and dusk. Would like the a bit lighter without messing anything else up I guess. Any advise on where I can tweak these settings. I have the PSS A319, A320, and A321 aircraft still flying in FS9. I really almost always use the ifdg versions aliased to the PSS panels. I also have the PSS A330 and A430, but without the ifdg addons.. The throttles were originally controlled in these birds by keyboard commands for five positions or gates (i.e. Rev, Idle, Cl. FSXMCT, and TO/GA). The number keyboard "-" and "+" keys stepped through these gates. Somewhere long ago, I lost this function and have just used my yoke throttle in the same way I would if the birds were Boeings. I am curious as to why this changed though. I don't know if it is relative to newer operating systems (Win7) or something else. D…

  17. Going through my archives today I ventured upon this post from the redoubtable Bob Scott. As we have seen a number of returnees to FS9 recently it was considered pertinent to repost here for information. Hello, all. I have a question about something I've never seen before. My father is beginning to use a new system built for him by JetLine and he's seeing something a little odd. The light intensity on some items is ridiculously bright. Lights such as lights on top of towers, or NAV lights, or runway lights, etc. I've never known there to be an adjustment for this but if anyone knows how to be able to do something with this some insight would be greatly appreciated. This is happening with both FS9 and FSX and didn't happen with the old system. I've tried to add a picture here to show the issue but can't seem to do that anymore. Thanks!

background: My ImagineSim KSJC has worked perfectly for years, so this is how I got it screwed up. I created an EZ scenery file and it also has worked fine for years. Windows placed it in the VirtualStore's folder for this scenery instead of in the normal IS KSJC senery folder in FS9, but it worked just fine there, so no problem. I decided to deleted the EZ scenery file and now get a "Failed to read file" error msg and CTD whenever I try and launch FS9. I have restored the file but the error persists. I have also removed and reinstalled ImagineSIm KSJC scenery but no help with the CTD. If I deactivate the scenery or delete it, FS loads just fine, so somethi…

Hi all,I've been wondering lately how I can get rid of the large grey scenery tiles that cut in and out on the horizon beyond the visibility range when flying at higher altitudes (30s). This is something that I've had since I started using FS9, and until recently, I thought it was just something that came with the territory, but I've noticed that most screenies I see here and elsewhere don't have them, so I'm wondering if there is some setting that I've implemented that causes them?Has anyone established what causes these (if its any one thing in particular) and how to go about fixing them? Thanks,GregPS: I use:Dell Dimension 83003GHz P42Gb RAMGeForce 6200AX-I'm not in a p…

After returning to FS9 after a few years I feel embarrassed to ask this because i used to do a lot with ai aircraft and flight plans but I'm missing something here, this is what my problem is: I create a flight plan for an ai aircraft to fly from one airport to another both in the USA, I use Traffic Tool Box to look for the aircraft, lots of others there but not the ai I want, I also use Traffic View Board but neither show the aircraft, the airports have plenty of room as well so no problem there, the flight plan is OK too as far as I'm aware because TTools generates it without a problem. Now if I alter the flight plan and replace the US airports with 2 UK airport…

Okay, not talking about Virtavia's V22, but Vlad Zhyhulskiy's V22 from years ago (fs2002). I've been trying to get this going as an AI in FS9 for my sceneries on the east coast (MCAS New River and MCAS Cherry Point) but am having very limited success. After doing a Traffic for it, it sits parked as it should, and takes-off and flies great, but landing...she spirals outta control and crashes on final. Try adding it to one of your own Traffic .bgls, you'll see what I mean. Vlad's model has the engines attached to the flaps and that is creating issues. I've tried modifying the aircraft and .air a few different ways - no flaps, leading edge flaps, trailing flaps but with …

I know this is below the dignity of many, but I still have many carry over birds from past FS versions that I love to fly. Some work only in FS9 (Particular favorites, the Dreamfleet Baron and Flight One 727). Others work only in FSX, while some work in both from scratch, and others do with modifications. I fly all of them periodically along with the newer products. One really old contribution among several that I still occasionally find pleasure in flying is the Flight One McDonnell Douglas DC9. This aircraft has autothrottle control that is initiated on the throttle quadrant, but speed settings are set in the Radio Stack panel. A limiting factor is that the settings…
