Hi All, this is my first topic so be gentle with me please! I've just purchased Fly The Mad Dog and am struggling to work out how to install it on my FS2004, I run FS2004 from an external HD linked to my Laptop, which is running Win XP, there is very little on the laptop so all it's tiny brain can concentrate on powering my flight sim. As it happens this peculiar arrangement seems to work well, I have connected the laptop to my TV via a VGA cable which gives me better definition than the laptop screen. I've partitioned the HD on one side is FS2004 and on the other Fly The Mad Dog. It's all installed and registered but I haven't a clue how to couple the Mad Dog and FS2…

So, today, I try and boot-up FS9, just like normal, and after the splash screen stays up for a bit, and a flurry of HD activity, it just dumps straight back to the desktop. WtH?! Nothing has changed... Is it possible something got corrupted, and I need to reinstall the base sim?

Hey all, I'm looking to beef-up my fleet a bit and would like to add a 747, 757 and a 777. I'm primarily looking for systems complexity, with a fully-functioning FMS and an interactive VC. I know PMDG is the way to go for the 747, but I'm curious as to what others think are the best 757 and 777 addons. For the 757 I understand that there's the QualityWings model, as well as the PSS and CS. I've seen opinions all over the board on each plane, and I know various updates have been released over the years that may have changed the products. Based on my priorities (as mentioned above), which 757 addon would you recommend? QW, CS, or PSS? As for a 777, I'm only aware of…

Surely this question has already been asked, but I can't figure out how to search the forums for existing threads. Has anyone seen an AI version of the Boeing 787-900 that works in FS9? UTT only appears to have the 787-800. Thanks, Erik

I've been using DXTFixerX since it was first released. I've nuked every single folder in my sim install. And I still got stutters. I wondered if it was a placebo effect, but I still kept using it, figuring even a small effect was better than nothing. In the last couple of weeks, I've been exchanging email with a few members here, discussing conversion of FSX scenery to FS9. In the course of that discussion, it was noted by someone to whom I'd sent a converted FSX freeware airport file to test that the scenery I'd sent caused severe stutters on his system. Just recently I started experiencing some odd things with the water in my FS2004 installation. This picture shows Zinertek Ultimate Water Advanced and you can see how strange the textures are at distance. Looks great right below the plane. I've tried different water textures to no avail and I've tried to mess with the radius in the fs9.cfg settings.I tried a completely fresh install tonight and the same happened. All I have installed is Ultimate Terrain and GE Pro.Anyone experienced the same? Did you find a fix? It's just very annoying.Forgot to mention that I DO install everything as administrator. I'm quite experienced with the flight sim but I'm out of ideas.

Hi Am I correct in understanding that the default ATC is the only one that can interact with ai aircraft. Cheers Jont

Hello everyone This has been like this for quite a while but finally ive decided to post a thread to see if i can get an answer. I've changed water textures back and forth from time to time and after a while i started developing these water stains Im sure the problem is prob a simple one and wondered if anyone can shine some light on how to fix this. I don't just get them here and @ times there different shapes and sizes globally This first one here is in the middle of the ocean and seems to have a Pattern as there all the same shape This one is in the middle of the Ocean Also, pretty much by itself Near land

Hi, has anybody experiences with Sky Simulations' DC-9 for FS2004 under Win7, especially with a late copy of Win7 including Internet Explorer 11? I can't find any specification about supported operating systems neither at Simmarket nor at Sky Simulations' website. Furthermore, I'm interested in your experiences with this plane in common. Hi Flight-simmers, I have a MadCatz FlyStick 5, joystick. In all my add-on planes, like PMDG, Ifly, Level-D, Wilco, etc.. The yoke and throttles keep twitching for no reason while on the ground, in flight and when autopilot is on. My sensitivity with FS 2004 is all set to high and null zone of 0. I played with the settings and noting worked. I also have registered version of FSUIPC but everything there is by default. I have no idea what causes the twitching. When I disconnect the joystick via USB, the twitching stops. So it is the joystick that is causing the trouble. Any help is appreciated Thank you Nikita T.

I was flying a 747 and doing 250 knots below 10,000ft- then 340 knots up to approx 25,000/30,000ft- then approx mach 0.84 at approx 30,000ft and above but my airspeed only indicates around 280/290 knots how is this? I taught my indicated airspeed would be higher than this.

Hello everyone, I am having a strange issue with SweetFX in FS9. After learning about SweetFX, I decided to install it in FS2004. As instructed, I extracted all files to the FS9 directory. I turned on bloom, HDR, vibrance and anti aliasing. On running FS9, I could not see any change. I decided to turn on the "CRT" effect to check if the effects were very slight. On starting FS9, I noticed that the aircraft preview box looked like the display of a very old monitor. But, to my surprise, nothing happened in flight. Scroll Lock did not work. For some reason, I brought up the Kneeboard. THEN, with the kneeboard on-screen, the screen became exactly like the aircraft…

I'm trying to do a 10 hour flight, created a flight plan in fsbuild, and imported it into the fms of the PMDG 747. after about 30 minutes the 747 started veering off the flight plan and making random s curves. I thought it might be because of sharp tight curves fsbuild had put in it, so I deleted the departure waypoints, and it soon had a nice long line and was following it fine. about 30 minutes later, it started making s curves again on either side of the acars map. What gives? I would presume that the 747 would be like every other aircraft, and simply follow a straight line. Am I doing something wrong here, or is this a known issue? 10 hours is a long time to sit here …

Hey folks. I just purchased this today from simmarket. I got the FS9 version and also installed the update V1.1. The airport works but I'm not sure if the update installed correctly. What I did was, go to 'control panel', then to 'uninstall program' and looked up the 'AS Charles De Gaulle'. Even after installing the V1.1 update, it still says version V1.0 on the list. Can somebody who already installed the update confirm if your version also says V1.0 when you go to control panel and uninstall program? Any help greatly appreciated.

Kristensen. Hello, While I was making tests after new anti aliasing settings (nothing related to clouds) at Madrid Barajas I did notice static clouds right on ground level during taxi, which was rather funny just taxiing trough the clouds on the ground when you're actually supposed to pass them at 4000-10000 feet. Usually does not happen, but it's not the first time in Madrid. The airport elevation is 610 metres. Weather program generated in question is AS6.5 if that's of any information. Does not bother me that much but still curious. P.S, Take off was amazing, passed around 10 cloud layers during :lol:

It's not so much the 777 that is troubling, but rather the download. I downloaded a 777-200 with 4 United Liveries; unzipped the contents to a temporary folder; dragged the aircraft folder to the FS9 aircraft folder; then I copied the effects files into the FS9 effects folder; and no surprise, the 777-200 is not an option in the aircraft list when using FS9. This has happened to me several times with other aircraft downloads, spending up to 30 minutes trying to figure things out rather than flying, and that eventually leads me frustrated enough that I just give up and use what I have. I mean, it should be as easy as just dragging the folders and files to the right…

Hey guys, I bought these two earlier during the week. Decided to do a quick flight starting from a parking position and I did not encounter any moving ground vehicles on both airports. Pretty odd. I believe they're advertised as having them. I don''t think Vienna gives the typical FT enable/disable option to "boost" performance during installation. I do remember when installing Dubai, the only things I left unchecked were center line lights, and default FS9 lights. So is there only static ground vehicles for these airports? I'm thinking I may have missed something during installation. Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi new to this can anyone point me in the right direction to solve my problem. Recently generated a flight plan in simroute it was KMIA-KLAX after downloading it to my fs9 flight sim files and then loading fs9 the sim crashed. I apologise if this is an old issue. Rgds Tony

I download and install new scenery for UHHH I got on avsim.su (54022-UHHH-2014.zip). In the folder UHHH_2014 there is another folder and the name of it is Russian. Does anyone know what this folder says? In the folder in question there are bmp texture files that are the same texture files as the ones in the UHHH_2014\texure folder. So I am guessing the folder in question a folder with 32 bit textures? But since I don't know Russian I have no idea.
