Hello,I recently purchased a new computer and installed FS9. I also have FSX but I use FS9 because of FSpassengers. I have a problem, I install FS9 and some add on planes and when I select a plane and press ok the game crashes to desktop. If I press fly now it does the same. Hi, Could someone who knows how to stop the FSSound.dll file error from popping up when FS9 loads, when using a FS2002 a/c. I used to know that an entry in the cfg file would stop it, but I have forgotten what. I have some really good FS2002 a/c that I like using, but since upgrading my computer have forgotten. When attempting to run tis program I now get the following error message: Err 005 "It seems that you are using a very old version of this program.Please visit http://www.ranainside.com/ to get a new version"It appears thar this website is no longer available.I have v 2.8.5 installed which I understand is the latest available.Is there a fix for this problem other than turning the computyer clock back?Richard.

Am trying to install a freeware ac and the following installation instruction is unclear to me:"- Extract BN32Rest.zip into the FS2004 main directory and move the *.dll file into the windows system directory, if it doesn't exists there."I can not find a file specifically titled *Windows System Directory*! Is it the WINNT file??Thanks!Scott

Hi,Where are the airports listed, I mean which .bgl has them? Is there a replacement .bgl that doesn't have the entire world in it? I guess my idea of trimming down the world AI file size won't work the way I thought. Is there a freeware .bgl editor/decompiler/compiler? Sorry I'm such a noob.dolph

Thank you for the Auto-Tower utility for FS9. The one attribute in FSX that works without compromise is the nearest tower feature. It is the only thing I missed when I gave up on FSX. Now you have provided it for FS9. FSX will now die a quiet death on my bookshelf.RIP FSX.Thanks again,

It seems that I am becoming more and more interested in flying the longer routes with the "heavy's".However, as this requires more waiting while in the cruise, portion, I was wondering if there is any way that MSFS9 can run in the background so I have free my comuter up to work on other stuff while in the cruise phase.?ThanksDarryl

Since yesterday, I have been trying to figure out this problem that has popped up.I have been using FS9 for years with no problems. Even upgraded the hardware to a CORE2 computera few months ago, and could not be happier with the perfomance of FS9! (no FSX for me)After doing some tests, this is what I have found. If I try and start FS from an airport east of the Mississippi, it will freeze at either 1% loaded, or will not even start to load, and just sit there at the splash screen. If I start FS at an airport west of the Mississipi, startup is normal. I can then go to any other airport and it will load fine (even the ones it was hanging up on at the beginning). Doesn't ma…

Hey all! I have just downloaded the "Princess Juliana International Airport of St-Maarten Netherlands Antilles (Version 1.2)". In the screenshots, their are people on the beach at the end of the runway, along with cars. I have managed to get all the buildings put in place and working fine, but i cannot get people onto the beach. The instructions are not too clearinstructions:"1. I put the texture max load fix many have mentioned that transformed there FS9. I put it on the 2 computers I use for flying and any long flight I took would just crash or once it even closed out FS9 like I had never opened it. I wonder has anyone had this trouble? Was this fix only for FSX and had I misread posts? I really love FS9 and plan to stay with it for awhile, but if I can make it look better I will try. For now though I can fly and have a great time I dont want to go back to my days of constant tweaking like I did with FS2000.Thanks

Hi All,I desperately need your help. FS9 is running alright but for some unknown reason after about 1.5 hours of flying, it goes into a lockup were the image on the screen is frozen and the sound is in a loop and I have to reset the machine each time.I've tried everything I could think of, taking the plane back to the stock plane with no updates, new vid drivers, old vid drivers, no traffic, no weather, but I can't seem to figure out what is causing it.I've searched the forums to no avail.The test flight I'm running is from CYYZ to KLAX in the PMDG 747 at 30000ft set to land on runway 24L through the CIVET star. I found this program to be interesting. Both Flight Simulator and Google Earth eat CPU so performance has got to be bad unless done over a network but the fact that someone is using Google Earth with a Microsoft app on the heals of the release of Microsoft
